keith, is the accessible bit a separate sectioned-off area of the venue? Not too familiar with it
In Academy one, it’s a balcony. This was for Academy 2 which if I remember from the last time I went there, was a bit at the side of the room with a few bar stools.Â
ÂThe thing with the balcony in One is how they also use it for some “Guests” of the bands. Last time I went there a band member gave a shout out to his family who were up in the balcony. Without meaning to sound ungrateful, it’s a shame that the disabled have to give up what few provisions there are so that able bodied guests are catered for. The staff at Academy are brilliant though, want to make that clear.Â

Tried to get accessible Frank Turner tickets but because it’s the Academy, you have to phone them up and of course, they’d gone instantly. Was even calling ten minutes before sale time.Â
ÂThey said what to do in future is buy a ticket and then call them, and if the accessible ones are all gone, as in a free ticket for your carer, you can get a refund on the ticket you bought which is fair enough. Trouble is, the gig totally sold out in minutes and we were trying for them too! Â Ah well, maybe next time.Â

I'm really looking to try and get back into American Sports this year just as I'm always looking for more knowledge in things and things to watch.Â

Is the best way to get going!
Absolutely buzzing for my boy Benny, hitting his first homer of the season and then his second to walk off an extra innings win. He has rightly come under fire for being shit this season so hopefully this is the kick start both he and the White Sox need.Â

Who does this benefit?
Himself. He will be a Labour adviser after the election on health policy so it looks like Labour aren’t getting their advice from someone who stood down, or lost as a Tory MP

All of this pales into comparison with the MLB London Series advert which is played between every inning and features that other bellend who owns Wrexham. Makes me pine for Hall of Fame Connections and Bartolo hitting that home run for the 100th time.
Any idea what Bo Bichette looked like as a toddler?

I dunno. It’s not like they did a Slim Jim when the lawsuit came out, they said nothing as I recall.
They aren’t very hot when it comes to their players and domestic violence either. A conviction doesn’t really have an effect of their career. Plus they’re racist as fuck. A match made in heaven.Â

Most of the area Poulter represents actually has a local council run by the Green Party, so maybe there's hope that seat will go for a more radical option at the general.Â
Dunno. He holds a 23k majority so it’s pretty unlikely.Â

I believe he was the minister who sold the country’s supply of blood plasma to a private firm. He also envisages an advisory role within Labour on health matters after the election.Â
ÂVery reassuring for everyone laughing at  the cranks who think Labour won’t privatise more health services.Â

At first I thought it was a job protection thing but if he’s standing down at the election then fair enough. But yay red team!! He used to play for our rivals and kissed the badge when he scored but he’s on our team now and that’s all that matters etc.Â

it’s Siegfried And Joy, a pair of silly magicians who I believe were on Americas Got Talent.
What I love is the childlike reactions, in the sense that everyone applauds them like they would a five year old doing an obvious magic trick.Â
ÂJust good wholesome fun!

That’s absolutely brilliant. College football fans are the siblings of English football fans. Love it!

Looking forward to seeing her on tour over here later in the year. And I’m sure @Statto will appreciate some of the references in this one! Tennessee Orange by Megan Moroney

I’m not familiar with how defamation laws work in the States compared to here (outside of there being a greater allowance for freedom of speech), but is his idiotic comment potentially defamatory?
Nah, nor really. He could simply say that he meant Weinstein was the biggest name in film production like Coca Cola are in soft drinks and he got his metaphors muddled up on live tv.Â
-
“We’re the Pepsi of wrestling and they’re the Weinstein”.
Why didn’t he say coke? “2 Stella’s and a Pepsi please”. “Sorry, we don’t have Pepsi, is a Harvey Weinstein ok?”

Yeah that’s awful, was hoping to see how much better he got as the season went on.Â
ÂWatched the White Sox last night. Twice they gave up back to back homers. Absolutely awful team. Their record looks like good bowling figures for a spinner.Â

I'd love it if they did one series where it was done properly and they didn't have all the stupid rules that the hunted have to follow.
Get rid of all the restrictions like, making them move on to a new location every day, having to call home every how ever many days, having to use a cash machine, let the friends and family refuse to let the hunters look at their phones and computers, let them say no to them, let the hunted use boats and planes.
They say they add the rules to make better TV, but letting it play out more naturally would be way better.Â
Ah I didn’t know they had to do all that! I guess if they did just hunker down in someone’s basement and they didn’t acknowledge Hunters at their property it wouldn’t make for a good show!
The reverse is when a ground crew or whatever they’re called saw the screws at a train station, why didn’t she just put an arm on their shoulders and say they’ve been caught?  Again, I guess it wouldn’t make as good viewing.Â

Gave High Fidelity a rewatch and didn’t realise how much of a dickhead Rob is. The biggest wanker in Chicago, at least Barry is funny.Â

I love those bands who either have placeholder names because of litigation or lost the case for ownership of the name so have something similar, or one member who was in the original band for a year or two so it’s “Their version of famous band”. Some great squabbles and petty hatred.Â
