So yesterday I watched
New Years Evil - paint by numbers slasher, came out in the wake of Friday the 13th
Famous Monster - documentary on Forrest J Ackerman, the first man to coin the term SciFi and creator of Famous Monsters magazine
A Bucket of Blood - decent horror comedy from Roger Corman
-
Another 3 films off the list today
Where are you getting all these great b-movies from? I'd love to watch some of these.
Online shops and streaming mainly
-
Another 3 films off the list today
Nightbreed - awesome film from start to finish, if you liked Hellraiser you'll love this for the dark tones it has
Zombies vs Strippers - shit, shit and more shit
Dolls - good film, had a Child's Play/ Puppet Master vibe to it
-
Watched another 4 films after my post yesterday
Killer Klowns from Outer Space - Batshit mental but absolutely hilarious, well worth a watch
Sleepaway Camp 2 - turned it off just over halfway through, too many kills for stupid reasons
The Brain That Wouldn't Die - crazy premise but enjoyable
The Thing From Another World - absolute classic that spawned one of the greatest film remakes
-
The last few days I've watched
Leprechaun - which was such a fun movie
Leprechaun 2 - which was a decent sequel
Leprechaun 3 - which was ok if a little corny
Leprechaun 4 - OK but not really needed, I've avoided In The Hood and Back to Tha Hood as I've heard they are the worst of the bunch
PIN - which was a good film but very strange
Gingerdead Man - ridiculous premise for a killer but very fun to watch
Gingerdead Man 2 - didn't manage to finish it off but again ridiculous but fun

Yeah been loving WWE 24. Anyone who complained at the 4 Horsewomen breaking kayfabe needs to put it in context and check that genuine emotion. Still blown away by that match.
I saw the episode that had Graves, Adam Rose, Xavier on it yesterday as well. Great stories but the team really dropped the ball on Rose. I thought his creepy Leo Kruger gimmick was really good, Jake the Snake-esque promos, still needed work but uhhhh it's fuckin developmental??? Not 'got' anything the guy has done since, especially this laughable party pooper thing. Such a pity, his story was probably the most engaging and he's been twitter campaigning for the return of the Kruger gimmick to no avail.
Michael Hayes in particular came off as a right fucknut, saying he wouldn't go see him with a free ticket.
What episode of NXT is Leo Kruger on as i want to see this new gimmick of Adam Rose
Leo Kruger was Rose's gimmick before he became Rose, not sure how far back the archives go for NXT on the network but you can find clips of the Kruger gimmick on YouTube

Couple of other notes that have happened so far at the tapings besides that debut
Apollo Crews wins a number 1 contender's battle royal which will main event next week's episode
The same match ends the Corbin/Rhyno partnership and they resume their feud with a match on the 21st Oct episode
They also appear to be setting up Alexa Bliss as Bayley's next challenger
-
Not ashamed to admit I had a lump in my throat and watery eyed at the end of the main event, absolute quality from both women. Why can they get it so right on NXT but the main roster Divas get it so so wrong even with the talents of Becky, Charlotte, Paige and Sasha on every show?
-
Last couple of days I've watched The Monster Squad which was highly enjoyable, White Zombie which was excellent, especially for Bela Lugosi's performance and the Mel Brooks classic Young Frankenstein which is now one of my fave films
-
Can someone please put a bullet in TNA now and end their misery? What a completely ridiculous and pointless move and a bit of a slap in the face to both fans and Hardy himself all because Ditzy fucked up their TV deal again and they taped a shit load of footage with EC3 holding the belt
-
Chopping Mall has exploding heads, tits and Paul Bartel. What's not to love?
Might have just been the copy I have but it just seemed cheap and grainy (It was the Dead of Night release)
-
Many apologies Keith
Watched another couple of films tonight, Chopping Mall which was god awful and Creepshow 2 which was decent but not a patch on the first film
-
Started my horror month with four films today
First was Alice Sweet Alice which was ok, little bit on the corny side and the ending doesn't really make a whole lot of sense
Then I watched April Fools Day which I was disappointed with, was expecting a slasher film but got fooled by the swerve at the end
Then I watched Frankenhooker which was complete and utter shite
And lastly I've just got done watching Class of Nuke 'Em High which was your typical Troma film, full of cheesy dialogue, gore, cheap effects and boobs but a hell of a lot of fun

Love how Fury's camp and fan base are crying about this on Twitter, saying Wlad bottled the fight and that the Batman antics put him off. I wouldn't be too surprised if the Klitschko camp were pissed off by the antics, like they felt Fury wasn't taking things seriously

I think the u may be silent, a lot of Japanese names are pronounced different to how they are spelt

"Besides WWE, we're the only global promotion in the world. We're in over 120 countries worldwide and in 19 languages. We made a conscious decision about 3 years ago to take a step back and focus on younger talent. We've had some of the biggest names ever on our show. People have gave us a hard time about using WWE talent, but after a hot run with us, almost every one of them has worked with WWE again. That's a huge compliment to us"
Genuine quote from Dixie in that SI interview, the woman is on another planet
-
Tyson Fury babbling for 40 minutes, oddly listenable, he's a unique kind of bloke.
Chris Eubank (who has a long-standing grudge against the interviewer), has been complaining about the bad language on Twitter.
Fury has responded by labelling Eubank a "knob head"
No class shown by Fury as usual, praying Klitschko takes him out or better yet feed him to Joshua

Didn't Warlord team with the Barbarian and Haku for King of Trios one year? What a combo that would have been to see
-
Takeover has sold out the Barclay Centre, over 13K tickets sold.
That is phenomenal
-
Yeah didn't see the DVD preview but was bored stiff during the Behind the Curtain show (then again that might have been due to watching it last after earlier watching Total Divas, Tough Enough, Tough Talk and The WWE List). Looking forward to seeing the matches and moments special and the Nash documentary over the next couple of days though
-
I'm pretty sure both those "spoliers" are nothing of the sort and just someone taking the piss as they not only read different from all the ones I have read but the PPV mention in the first one isn't until 2016.
All these tapings are for Impact, Xplosion and the One Night Only PPVs right through to the end of their Destination America run and beyond should they find a new TV deal, sadly

Kliq Week coming next week on the network to co inside with the release of The Kliq DVD/BluRay
Yep, we are getting a first look at the Kliq set after Raw on Monday, the reunion special that was speculated to be on the Bluray when it was first announced called The Kliq Behind the Curtain on Tuesday, a 90 minute match and moments compilation on Wednesday and a 30 minute documentary on Big Kev that looks similar to the Bryan, Reigns and Warrior ones on Thursday
-
Caught a decent film documentary on Netflix this afternoon called Nightmare Factory looking at how special effects are done in movies, specifically horror and sci fi. It runs for around 90 mins and features guest interviews with Elijah Wood and Simon Pegg (who, while visiting the company at the centre of the doc, got to wear the makeup used for the character Bub in Day of the Dead)

its not a scene shot specifically for the film, its actually from the next Captain America. I forget what Cap says exactly but he refuses to contact Stark, hinting that they have already had a falling out and Falcon saying he knows a guy is pushing that Ant-Man will be on their side during Civil War
I haven't seen Ant-Man yet but from what I've read up about that particular scene
Basically its hinting that Bucky Barnes as the Winter Soldier was responsible for the death of Stark's dad, Stark found out that Cap and Falcon knew and were holding him instead of bringing him to justice and that sparks the Civil War story

That's how I managed to watch it as I have Hola installed to get the US version
Yesterday I watched
Happy Birthday To Me - an ok teen slasher film
A Thousand Faces - terrific documentary on the great Lon Chaney Sr that came as part of the BD release of Phantom of the Opera by BFI
King Kong - the original 1933 version, still a classic
