  1.

I enjoyed RAW, crowd was its usual mad self, but i could not make out most of the chants, could someone post the ones during the divas match and the main event please?

    Thanks

I believe there were chants of 'You suck Cena' to Nikki Bella, 'You suck Bryan' to Brie Bella, 'You suck Jimmy' to Naomi and 'You suck TJ' to Natalya, surprisingly AJ got away with any Punk related chants and well no one really knows the guy Paige is dating to chant anything. Don't know about the main event chants

  2. The Authority/Orton/Sting segment was the highlight of Raw for me, Sting's theme is starting to grow on me a bit now.

Decent promo from Reigns but i was getting too distracted by the two berks in the crowd, one in the Heyman Guy t shirt and his goofy mate in the blue hoodie throwing weird gestures.

What was the point in having a 'Russian' lawyer out there for the contract signing if they were gonna have JBL and Booker T burying the guy?

  3. Just got done watching the latest episode of Countdown, looking at international sensations. What a load of crap, they had Davey Boy ranked only at number 6, below the freaking Great Khali, Sheamus in the top 3 ahead of Sammartino and no Yokozuna or Wild Samoans in the list period despite featuring clips of them. The only thing that was right was putting the Iron Sheik number one

  4. One for fans of old cartoons and shows, hot on the heels of the hugely successful TMNT reboot from Nickelodeon nearly 3 years ago, Boomerang's current revival of Inspector Gadget and ITV's upcoming Thunderbirds revamp, Disney have announced the return of one of their beloved afternoon cartoons for 2017, the original show of which had one of the catchiest theme songs of all time

  5.

Guarantee you someone will book Daniels vs Joe vs AJ this year. 10 years later and all that.

Yeah. Promotors are probably scrambling to make that happen. Unbreakable was round about the time I discovered TNA. Shame to see him go, but now we also wait to see who's the first UK fed to book him post-TNA.

Wouldn't surprise me if PCW try to get him in as Martin Kirby's mystery opponent for the Road to Glory tournament next month

  6.

Cant be Big Daddy V. That's a definite singlet going on there. And knee pads. Its even got the Bundy stance.

The more i look the more i think it is big vis. At the pointhe had those brace/straps.

Plus even at his biggest, Bundy never had his moobs sticking out his ring gear

  7. Who are the ones in that little Royal Rumble set? I can spot Hogan, Orton, Rey, Hacksaw and what must be Bundy on the front row.

Middle row: Jimmy Hart, LOD, Roman Reigns, ???

    Back row: Not a clue

Believe it or not its meant to be Big Daddy V/Viscera/Mabel according to the forums on the wrestlingfigs.com website

  8. Filmed in Supermarionation is a great documentary if you were into the likes of Thunderbirds, Stingray and Captain Scarlett as a kid. Goes into a lot of detail about how they come up with the shows, has behinds the scenes footage of the productions and other titbits such as the Thunderbirds movies both being critical and commercial flops when they were released to theatres and that ITV cancelled the show to make way for another Anderson production. I think the DVD is £16.99 in HMV or you can get it on Amazon for just over £20 on bluray packaged with a second disc called This is Supermarionation that has episodes of most of the shows spotlighted in the documentary

  9. Just got done watching the latest episode of Countdown (one of my favourite Network shows to watch even if I don't have the Network) focusing on unique matches. Some very interesting choices on there, full list is below in spoiler tags

    10. Viagra on a Pole Match - Kidman v Douglas
    9. Gulf of Mexico Match - CM Punk v Chavo
    8. Hardcore Evening Gown Match - Brisco v Patterson
    7. Kiss my Foot Match - Bret Hart v Jerry Lawler
    6. Chamber of Horrors Match
    5. The McMahons v Shawn Michaels and God
    4. Undertaker v Underfaker
    3. Hollywood Backlot Brawl - Goldust v Roddy Piper
    2. Empty Arena Match - Rock v Mankind
    1. Blindfold Match - Jake Roberts v Rick Martel

There was also a Divas Detour segment looking at Bra and Pantie matches, the Gravy Bowl match between Trish and Stacey, The Hogpen match between Vickie and Santina Marella and Diva food fights

  10. Watched the documentary Filmed in Supermarionation the other night. Really well done documentary looking at the history of Gerry Anderson's production company, the shows they produced and the problems they faced putting the shows together. I didn't realise before watching it that Thunderbirds was cancelled by ITV rather than ended naturally and that both films were massive, massive flops in cinemas. I picked up the DVD version in HMV for £16 but Amazon have a Blu ray double pack of the documentary and a disc of select episodes of some of the shows including the Stingray pilot for just under £22

  11. Yeah, I didn't want to be The Simpsons nerd, but it did bug me. It's not like these things are hard to check. I'm sure they could have got the rights to some old boxing and have them saying why wrestling is better than boxing or something. Like I say, being out by a little bit I usually look the other, but being by nearly a decade is just shoddy

There's a whole article on What Culture pointing out 10 inaccuracies with the film and that UFC bit is one of them

  12. Picked up 3 documentaries to watch last Friday. Alternative Reality, which is about Football Manager, Birth of the Living Dead about the making of Night of the Living Dead and Filmed in Supermarionation about the production team behind the likes of Thunderbirds, Stingray and Captain Scarlett

  13. Its not so much Vince screwing up any NXT call ups, its more a certain anti-NXT producer getting in the old man's ear to make Triple H look bad cos he knows that when Vince retires, he's out the door

As for Raw last night, it was an ok show. Cena has to turn heel now, I wouldn't have had any issue if Ryback, Dolph and Rowan had turned round and smacked the crap out of the golden boy. Week on week they go on about his mantra but where was he when his 3 fired teammates had the odds against them earlier in the night (not 30 mins in Ryback's case)

  14. Anyone catch Foley on the Daily Show the other night? He's made a documentary about people who pretend to be / think they are Santa.

The doc is up on Netflix if you have Hola or any region unlocked, its actually pretty good

  15. They'll find a way for most of the big names to appear on both shows, they could easily jig around the line ups to put the main events (which have been Cena/Rollins in a street fight and Ambrose v Kane and Wyatt) on earlier to have them appear on TV. Personally, even though I haven't watched it fully in a while, I'm looking forward to Smackdown on Tuesday no matter who's on, mainly to watch Main Event as I've not watched an episode of it since the first few. Also the chance to see a couple of the NXT guys live (mainly Neville and Zayn) is appealing to me as is the fact that Jericho's advertised, presumably for the dark main event

  16. Curse of Chucky was tonight's treat. Bit of a step back to the more serious tone of the first couple of movies which was surprising as I was expecting more of a comedy horror. Not a bad slasher, with a couple of plot twists. Worth watching if nothing better is on. The lead woman is played by Brad Douriffs daughter.

Yeah I enjoyed Curse as well, particularly the moment when

the lead's sister peels off the plastic on Chucky's face to reveal that he's still in his stitched up form from Bride and Seed

  17. Watched 4 horror films this afternoon/evening

Slumber Party Massacre - fun little 80's slasher, the killer only reveals himself in the last 10 minutes

Drive In Massacre - complete and utter shite with a bullshit ending

Slaughter High - another fun 80's slasher, Caroline Munroe plays a bitchy high schooler (even though she was 36 when this was made) and one of her cohorts was none other than Terry Woods from Emmerdale

Carrie (remake) - actually enjoyed this, not a patch on the Brian De Palma classic from the 70's but certainly better than both the TV movie and The Rage : Carrie 2. Julianne Moore is terrifying as Carrie's god fearing mother, Chloe Moretz plays the Carrie role well, the pig's blood/freakout sequences were well put together and the ending was a decent aternative to the original. The alternate ending was good as well, fits in with the whole film
