  1. Booked our first family holiday in 9 years last week, which is both exciting and strange at the same time as it will be the first without my dad. Booked a villa in Portugal which will be the first time I'll have experienced the country properly as I was only a few months old the last time we went there back in 1985. Its going to be me, my mum, my sister and her fiance, my baby niece, my cousin, her husband and their son who is like a nephew to me and my sister

  2.

Similarly to that Bacon I popped onto r/SquaredCircle the other day and read some of the comments for the Cena AJ match. They're usually amusing and you still get the "Cena can't wrestle so AJ must've called the match" stuff.

If I need a reality check that I'm not mental then that place is good reassurance. However, someone said in regard to the match, "That's how you chain" and I almost leg dropped my laptop.

Wrestling fans outside this place are the worst.

I'm quite pleased everyone called him out on his bullshit and he ended up deleting his account. Fuck him, and others with that attitude. This place definitely reaffirms with me sometimes that not all wrestling fans are deluded.

Tell me about it, I had to call out a fan on another forum on saying that Cena's buried AJ, because Cena wouldn't talk about or give AJ credit in the build up and made it about himself, even though it took him everything but the kichen sink to win the match

  3. Watching Styles Cena from the Rumble.

Cena busts out a pretty sweet version of a Canadian Destroyer.

    Cenadian Destroyer!

Wasn't a Canadian Destroyer it was a Code Red, probably the smoothest one Cena's hit yet

  4. Been working my way through the year 2000 on Nitro, starting with the reboot episode that started the New Blood/Millionaires Club feud that included the debut of Mike Awesome while under an ECW contract as World Champion, the stupid Goldberg Heel turn and the Sting/Vampiro feud not to mention DDP getting turned on on a regular basis by Kimberley, Arquette, Sid and finally Kanyon

Just hit the point now where Lance Storm has come in and in the space of a few weeks won the US, Hardcore and Cruiserweight titles and renamed them all, Booker T being World Champion (after the Hogan incident at Bash at the Beach), the Kanyon/Bagwell feud around Bagwell's mum and the genesis of the Natural Born Thrillers stable as well as Vamp joining forces with Muta, the Demon and ICP as the Dark Carnival

The things that are throwing me off a bit are the music edits, Jarrett has his Chosen One theme dubbed with a generic country song, The Cat has his James Brown style theme dubbed over badly (when it would have been easier using Somebody Call My Mama) and The M.I.A having their War soundalike dubbed with some dancey shite. The only edit I'm not having too much of an issue with is the Crow theme being used for Sting's entrance when at the time he was coming out to Seek and Destroy

  5. Picked up the Daniel Bryan DVD this morning from the Cash Converters near me (the YES YES YES 3 disc one), spotted it out the corner of my eye at the end of a shelf with a few other WWE discs that were marked at £1, there was no price on the outside slip cover so was expecting it to be in the £5-10 range, imagine my shock and delight then to see that it too was marked at £1. Took it over to the till along with another DVD (Blazin Saddles) thinking its probably a mistake, especially when the cashier goes and looks it up on Amazon after scanning it, but no it really was £1 which said cashier was non too pleased about judging by the snotty look he gave me as he bagged it up, the cunt

  6. I was doing the hat trick for Rogue One on Friday and I was a bit puzzled by a trailer for a new Spider-Man film this year, apparently under the Marvel films banner.

I thought Spidey films now sat with Sony hence the recent pointless reboots to renew their licence. I overhead somewhere Marvel were allowed to use him if he was in an Avengers film, but this new flick is clearly a solus arachnid adventure.

What's the deal here, comic film experts?

Basically Sony and Marvel came to a deal where Spidy can be part of the MCU but still have solo films produced by Sony with Marvel Studios input

  7.

I don't know who they had ring announcing this week but her voice was unbearable!

I think she's called Dasha - and yes, she's rotten.

She's been alternating with the bloke who did the CWC for the last few months and she is, in my opinion, the very worst of the women they've tried out as a ring announcer - and that's saying something.

(Caveat - I'm talking about ladies who have been presented as 'a ring announcer' rather than a 'diva doing a semi-regular guest ring announcer thing', because there have been some VERY horrible ones of those, Maria & Ashley Massaro springing to mind.)

Yeah it's a similar set up to when JoJo and Greg Hamilton were the NXT ring announcers before their main show call ups, they'd alternate the TV tapings (think Dasha also done some) and Greg would do Takeover. Now it's Dasha and Tony Rome alternating with Rome doing TO

  8. Tesco are doing the WWE Mighty Minis at 62 pence right now. I bought two and got The Rock and Triple H. They're pretty cool.

Seriously? Been waiting for a store to mark them down, might have to nip in there on my lunch at the weekend and grab a couple. Got some of the Batman ones and they are super tiny for the ridiculous £2.50 rrp

  9. Had a binge of Christmas films and specials today, started with the Miz and Paige's film Santas Little Helper which was actually pretty decent then I watched some animation in Frosty The SnowmanFrosty ReturnsThe SnowmanFather Christmas and lastly How The Grinch Stole Christmas. The Snowman was the first time in 20 years I've seen it, even though it's on the TV schedule every year and is still as heartwarming to watch as it was when I was 11, the two Frosty shorts I was watching for the very first time, liked the original but the sequel just didn't have the same feel to it. Father Christmas I vaguely remember from when I was younger, though that may have been the Kit Kat spoof ad they did, same way Irn Bru did their own version of the famous scene in the Snowman and the Grinch is a regular watch and a classic

  10. The bad

My cousin Lisa, utter bitch of a woman, cheated on her fella many times when they were younger yet still had two kids with him, got my uncle into trouble by bullshitting that he forced her into taking weed when it was her begging him for it, caused a ruckus outside my uncles when we went down for my cousin Angela's birthday over cab fare which saw my cousin Kate's now husband to get a bloodied lip and when she has a few is hideously nasty to her bipolar lesbian sister

Uncle Tom - youngest of my uncles, former YTS player at Tranmere Rovers, has two kids by two different women. Is pretty much the black sheep as he had a major drug problem for a few years which led him to be stabbed one year on Boxing Day at a hostel he was staying at. Had to move away from the city over to St Helens for his own safety and now only comes back for family occasions if someone drops him off/ takes him back (usually my uncle who also lives in Saints). Used to be someone I looked up to till I realised what a waste of space he is

    The Good

My Cousin Kate - treated like absolute shit by her dad after my aunt died, shunned from everything and made to buy her own food etc. Met her now husband through work and became very independent, survived major blood loss twice, first after giving birth to her son 5 years ago then again last year when she had a miscarriage, neither incidents her dad bothered with seeing how she was

My Mum - matriarch of her family after my nan died, always does a lot for me and my sister, showed unbelievable courage and strength after my dad died in March, inspite of her broken heart, planning the funeral and sorting out the legal issues

  11. Is that rumble doc the one that's on sale as an Asda exclusive next week?

Worth noting that the Asda exclusive is just the documentary itself, as a single disc, similar to when they re-released the Attitude Era vol 1, The John Cena Experience and The Best of Sting as single disc sets, the only extras i assume will be the bonus documentary segments

  12. Watched Straight Outta Compton earlier, really enjoyed it for the most  part but the ending really had me choked up covering Eazy E's death (I know the actual last scene is Dre pulling out of Death Row to start Aftermath which didn't go down well with Suge Knight but the movie could and should have ended with this). The montage of career highlights of the group over the credits was well put together too

  13. Had to avoid spoilers all day, stayed off all social media going to work, over my lunch and coming home from work, but it was totally worth it. The tag match was the match of the night by a country mile, DIY are one of my fave teams at present so was made up with the outcome. Mickie James looked incredible and was a worthy challenger to Asuka but the result was predictable. Bobby Roooooooo just has IT, great entrance and decent match with Tye. The Joe/Nakamura series looks far from done, better match than Brooklyn and very surprised to see Joe become 2x champ. The Dusty final was the only real weak match for me, TM61 haven't clicked with me yet and AOP still look a touch on the green side, can see them being the first challengers to DIY in San Antonio unless they do DIY/Revival part 3
