And his reviews are just fine.Anyways, I bought Evolution on DVD the other day and it really is a hidden gem. Most people haven't seen it but it's a fucking brilliant comedy with David Duchovney(sp) showing the huge abilities he has as a comedic actor. The only real downside is with Julianne Moore's character in that they attempted to give her a clumsly splapstick edge which doesn't come even remotely close to working. Plus, Dan Akyroyd is in it~.

I would have enjoyed I, Robot more if it wasn't for the shameless product placement. Rio BravoI've recently gone on a Western rampage and am finding some classics that I have never even thought of watching before and this is one of them. A fucking marvelous movie. John Wayne is John Wayne so ofcourse is completely awesome. His sidekick is a well-acted recovering alcoholic and a great character. The romantic interest is played by a ridiculously hot woman whose name I can't remember and unlike most westerns the supporting cast is actually good. Highly recommended.

I watched Japanese horror Pulse last night. It had a good creepy atmosphere, and some freaky-ass bits in it but unfortunately was let down by the plot being extremely confusing and a ton of plot holes. And not plot holes in the cool Ringu way of "fill in the gaps yourself" but in a "we can't be fucked to write a plot" way.

There's a Ghibli season on Film 4 at the moment, so I took the opportunity to watch 'My Neighbour Tortoro' again. Fuck you, Disney, that's how you make a children's film. The scene at the bus stop > All of Snow White.

Agreed. Studio Ghibli can make very simple scenes feel like the most magical thing you've seen in your whole life.

I think Joe and Davey would make a great team. There'd be pretty similar to Davey/Dragon but that would be a good thing and if built properly they would be huge and have some great matches, plus Davey gets a huge rub and there's always the inevitable break-up fued to look forward to as Joe/Davey had a match in PWG that was excellent.

It's a shame due to the ROH/CZW storyline and Super Dragons other commitments (like PWG) that they couldn't have brought Davey in with Dragon as their tag team in PWG was soooo fucking good.

Heads up on Jason Goes To Hell, it is completely insane...and not in a good way.

This week I have watched The Searchers, Apocolypse Now and Unforgiven for the first time and I loved them all. 3 fucking amazing movies.

Good to see you enjoyed the 100th show main event, Lantern. It's my favorite match I've seen this year. It's one of those matches which is just perfectly booked. The story of how it goes from an even brawl at the start to ROH destroying the CZW guys to CZW slowly getting the upperhand and then the ROH side slowly falling apart as Super Dragon murders BJ, they knock out the ROH ref and Pearce is bleeding to death and then the fantastic Claudio turn.It's just a shame the brawl from Weekend Of Champions Night One sucks though. Mainly because Claudio ain't no brawler, Joe barely features, no Chris Hero, Colt Cabana has an off-night and Ace Steele is a complete retard. The Super Dragon/Whitmer match from Night 2 is an awesome match though.

Requiem For A DreamThis movie made me cringe so much that I nearly turned it off. Slightly better than Pi and with the Connely. I really felt for the mother most of all and the scene in the hospital made me want to be sick. Plus girl-on-girl action~

I don't see how anyone could enjoy that lesbian scene.

I thought Wolfcreek was shit. There was no tension in the first or second half. It felt disjointed and the violence occured with little to no relevance.

This man is correct.The very fact that for the film to be scary you have to be afraid of a fat old Australian man is ridiculous. The characters have nothing to them and the atcing is shit. The build-up isn't tense or mood-setting...it's dull. And the fact that the film tries to ocme off as super-realistic but then goes for all the usual horror cliches makes it even worse than it already is.

Nick Berk? He sucked so bad even CZW got rid of him. That's how bad he is.

Also Cornette continued tarnishing his good promos with homophobic insults by calling Homicide "Homocide".Seriously, Cornette is one of the best promo guys out there but this hwole CZW/ROH fued he just uses constant gay jokes which makes him come across as a idiotic red-neck bigot.

Eddie Kingston in ROH makes me happy.

I dunno....I liked Narc but I wouldn't ever class it as essential. Oldboy is essential. The Shawshank Redemption is essential. Narc...entertaining, well-acted but not essential.

ROH appear to have big plans for Davey. They've already had him beat Jimmy Rave twice, gone toe-to-toe with Joe, has match with AJ pretty soon and now the Kenta match is supposed to put him even higher.I don't know how his ROH matches have been but reports have been VERY positive.

If you like wrestlers who are super intense and kick people really hard then you'll like Davey.

Strange as I have seen both and I thought the remake was much better. I didn't really like the original as I thought it was too low budget to look convincing and the cannibals were pretty stupid.

I thought it was alright. It'd be much better if it was 30 minutes longer and actually turned into like a psychological mystery rather than just the cop-out ending it actually had which kind of rendered the film entirely pointless.
