But he's never worth the risk of a prolonged push in a good spot, long term.

Agree and I'm not saying he should be way up the card. But there's some really good inbuilt story and pathos with Jeff that could be really interesting.

Oh, absolutely. I've noticed that in my limited online reading, people seem to be focusing on who knew and why they didn't pipe up rather than addressing those (reportedly) directly involved.

I suppose that's for a few reasons. Firstly that Vince being a scumbag sleaze was at least known to the wider wrestling fan base. Not to this level of course, but morally I don't think anyone thought he was a good guy. Secondly due to the nature of him supposedly sharing this information with others in the organisation and carrying on with employees it brings into sharp focus the culture at WWE. Were their complaints and how were they deal with etc? And lastly, because Vince is gone. Bar a legal case, we no doubt will only hear the horrible shit he was up to. Therefore the head has been cut off, but people want to know what happens to those that aid and facilitate monsters like this.

You would expect anyone who genuinely didn't know to want a full investigation into it all. If Triple H is genuinely in the dark then he should be demanding one and fucking reading the lawsuit

IF that was true, why the fuck hasn't one of these so called 'journalists' reported anything?

Hacks, that would either lose their meal ticket to fame if they leaked something like that or as usual, they don't know as much as they hope they do.

A lot of people knew things about Harvey Weinstein. There were NDAs, reports that were started and then fell apart etc. There were also people who heard things. The issue with journalism is it takes a lot of time, money and bravery to nail one of these people.

If you read the two main the books on the Weinstein reporting, you can see just how difficult it is. The women they interviewed that wouldn't go on record for a variety of reasons. The NDA legal problems they faced. Hell the Times story on him was only first concentrating on the NDAs and they had to be meticulously fact checked. Throw in financial pressure and legal threatening and it isn't as easy as saying 'why didn't they report it?'

We all know Vince had NDAs, we all knew about Rita Chatterton or the sex abuse scandal in the 90s. We knew this. So did journalists who reported on it. I imagine their are a lot of journalists in mainstream media now looking at this. It's a big story. Perhaps now more women or employees feel they can come forward. We can only hope.

  4. Big shame for him. Always been a fan of the guy, and while I think his WWE run so far promo wise has been below par, I was looking forward to him getting his teeth into a proper feud and finally getting his Mania moment.

He was looking weary in his last AEW run, but he could still pull off the old magic at times. It just seems though that bar maybe One off matches, he just doesn't have the ability anymore to 'go' for a while.

How long does McIntyre have left on his contract? Because he only just turned heel and they're actually using him in a way he seems comfortable with now. 6 to 12 months ago I could see him leaving, but not now.

The cynic in me suggests that's exactly why he's being used right now. Ever since the AEW stuff reared its head they've done really well with him. Obviously a big benefit of having another company around that can offer guys like Drew another option. Can't see him leaving now, especially with the Punk stuff obviously leading to something if and when Punk gets fit.

  6. Hunter had 3 days to work something out to say. Instead he did a stupid pop at AEW and gave the shittest answers to those questions imaginable. I mean it was shameful. He's saying the questions were 'killing the vibe' just sums it up. Maybe acknowledge that the company will investigate thoroughly. Don't mention it was a great week just say you will strive to make sure any person in the company feels safe. Say something!. You could literally have got a lawyer to shape your answers while avoiding specifics. The arrogance is astounding.

How's he also claiming he found out in real time ha. Is he serious?

At least Cody did a politician's answer and he had fuck all to do with the company for years, probably shouldn't have even be asked.

I said the praise is getting is insane, not that people couldn't enjoy it. But the discourse on X is like it was the second coming of promos when both Punk and Cody (especially with Roman last year) already have had better ones

Yeah I don't know if people are just starved off stuff when they think that's great. I also think it's been overhyped due to the tribal nonsense on social media. Already seen the inevitable AEW WASTED THESE TWO. I didn't hate the segment but both can do better. Absolutely nothing was original in that segment.  Heyman did the Dusty stuff 100 times better.

  8. I saw a load of love online for the Punk/Cody segment and so eagerly watched it. Was that it or am I missing something with it? I mean it was...OK but I think I put in here last week that those two together really interested me given the connections. I know they can't mention a lot of stuff, but fucking hell heat it up a bit.

A couple of fairly Ok lines which didn't really make a lot of sense. Punk's biggest selling point to me was always his ability to get me engaged in his feuds and matches. I don't think I particularly care about anything leading into the Rumble.

Hopefully when he goes full heel we'll get the best of him, but it still all seems so flat.

I barely know anything about him but what little I do know says that he must be a better fit for AEW. Omega's there, he'll be immediately treated as one of their biggest stars, and they'll wrestle the style that suits him.

Yup that's my point. People saying 'Oh but theres more possibilities in WWE' are really missing that those probably wont happen. He'll be on NXT, mainly so Triple H can try and get one up on AEW (he's petty, I admire it) AJ Styles is the only 'outside guy' who's ever come in with fanfare. WWE will look to establish him and get an audience knowing who he is. That's not a bad idea as Okada coming out and confronting Lesnar say would pop the hardcore, but most WWE fans wont be watching NJPW. In AEW he gets the full star treatment.

  10. I think he goes to AEW. Tony will want him and that crowd will be absolutely rabid for him. Huge match at Wembley in the summer V Danielson possibly?

I know WWE is a different beast now, but I'm less interested in seeing him there as no doubt they'll just have Seth Rollins come out and whine at him.

  11. Just rewatched Joe V Hook. Just brilliant TV wrestling. Joe as champion is one of the best things AEW has done. Letting him be a destroyer as well while holding the belt reminded me why I loved him back in the day in ROH. Just superb. Props to the commentary on the match as well. Taz was fantastic.

  12. The Bucks are great fun. Their heel run a few years ago was utterly superb. Their matches are always entertaining and if you show it to a casual or someone who doesn't particularly like wrestling, they love it. Never got the criticism really.

  13. If it's not Cody this year then I don't see when it is. I was never a Cody fan but he really had a helluva run last year and the crowd were all over him. I didn't agree with not having him winning it last year, I thought it was the type of shit that Vince used to do BUT if the storyline was a redemption arc win then if told well it could be great. To just go 'Oh Now it's The Rock' might pop a few buys from lapsed fans (I have my doubts) but could pretty much derail one of the only true babyfaces out there. It seems weird.

Also Roman has gone incredibly stale. I don't want to see 4 or so months of 'You don't have it old man' type monotonous promos

  14. Personally I could do without the Doctor being in any way sexualised or fancying people.  It was one of my annoyances with RTD era. I don't care about him being in love. They even foisted in Jodie's tenure. Can we just do away with it? The only 'Doctor in Love' story they ever got right was The Girl In The Fireplace. Absolutely perfect. That's all you need.

I can really do with never seeing Catherine Tate shouting on my screen again as well.

  15. Yeah they could have just had Flair show up for the final match, there is absolutely no need for him to ever be on TV again.

Christian/Copeland segment was fucking awesome. These two finally getting the feud that they deserved all those years back. It's the most interesting not(Edge) has been since he came back.

Enjoyed the show. I always like Dynamite, it's just a fun watch really.

It’s a matter of internal investigations innit. If the club received the allegations and just dismissed them without any investigations, that’s shite. I mean, show them your DMs at least.

That's ultimately why the United situation was so ridiculous as he wasn't charged but the evidence was incredibly overwhelming and they were trying to downplay it as 'new evidence had emerged' which was incredibly vague.
