He should be fucked off just for hijacking the news cycle before the biggest show in history was even over. Everything that should be a victory lap for AEW has been swallowed up by the same old shit again.

To be honest this whole thing is so out of proportion it's mad. I'm sure this type of shit happens a lot. This isn't anywhere near the scale of what happened before. He's hardly hardly 'hijacked' it given nobody cares about Perry to be honest.

I'm not a Punk apologist but I do find the constant leaks ridiculous. If you don't like the bloke just stay away from him. Kenny and The Bucks seem to have managed it without further incident.

Also using real glass is dumb as hell.

  2. A lot of online sites seem to be trying to make this a huge thing but realistically nobody cares about Jack Perry enough for this to bother most people. Seems he was a bit of a shit and got taken down a peg or two. Punk has his issues, but he's a star and the fact is he will always be indulged more. You just have to look at the reaction last night to see it.

  3. Must say I must have avoided all the dickheads in my section. At the start there was 2 who  threatened to be but they got told to shut up and that was that from them for the rest of the night. Overall a lot of people having a laugh.

One thing though, is there were a lot of mullets. This haircut needs to be banished again

Still takes an hour and a half, which is still a bit of a shit, when you consider the usual route takes half that. Still, worth considering, so thanks for that.

Yeah took me 40 minutes to get to the station and to kings cross for the Victoria line. Must say though that was one of the best behaved crowds I have seen, especially at a big event like that

  5. Webb said that they could release the audio for contentious decisions, but I doubt for this one as it's so blatant a penalty anything those officials are saying will come across as ludicrous. The referee should have given it anyway.

It simply isn't good enough for this to still be happening. VAR clearly showed he took someone out. Even if the ref did miss it,you can tell him to take a look. EVERYONE saw that as a penalty. Once again it raises questions about the quality of these people on VAR. The fact they hired Mason back just shows it's jobs for the boys.

  6. Is Neil Gaiman a good writer though?

Series 2 was like one long fan fiction series. Tennant is also really grating these days for me. Michael Sheen as brilliant as ever

    The fuck he is!

Just because they haven't splashed massively this summer doesn't mean he isn't rebuilding. They had a brand new forward line really at times last season, that takes time to bed in. They'll add some midfielders I'm sure as well. As I said, I don't think they'll challenge this season. I think people are lazily thinking they'll just pop back up again, but I do think with time he'll get them competitive.

  8. Had William Saliba not got injured last season, Arsenal would have won the league. What a footballer. Getting him signed up again may be looked back upon as the best piece of business this summer.

Arsenal's squad is shaping up very nicely, especially when you consider Raya is probably now on the way as well. That back 4 and midfield (with the depth there) is genuinely quite something. I do think City/Arsenal will be the top 2 again this season (United don't convince me at all, Klopp is rebuilding, Chelsea will take at least a season) City still the favourites of course, but Arsenal are not that far behind. Maybe with a few outgoings another player in would put me very confident. Looking forward to the new season.

  9. I think Omega would have got the star treatment in WWE, but does he really want to go there and be restricted in what he can do? Cody was always more a 'WWE' wrestler.

Great they've all signed though. Having top guys in both companies is what makes it all work

It can never be understated the massive pair of ladyballs it took to rip up a picture of the pope on prime time TV and the uproar it caused in 1990s Ireland, just a fucking incredible move.

More in America really especially given the reaction of fellow artists. It utterly derailed her career over there. Kris Kristofferson deserves all the credit in the world for how he comforted her after they booed her off of the Dylan concert.

A wonderful voice. I was glad when her last two albums got all the praise. She was a true unique artist the likes of which we might never see again

I loved the episode, but I felt the fact that it was such a stacked cast slightly took me out.

I thought the same at first, I also thought it was too stagey. However, on a rewatch I really got it. Bob Odenkirk being basically Gene from Better Call Saul made me love it

Hope we see more of Jamie Lee-Curtis in the third.

I actually thought she was the worst thing in that episode.

FORKS from Season 2 in The Bear is an uplifting masterpiece. What a show

I don't think that's true. Stallone, Schwarzanegger and Willis were all big stars in the 80's and 90's, all of them also had massive flops released with them as the star name. Tom Cruise hit huge with Top Gun Maverick, but outside of Mission Impossible (and the latest of those opened soft and had the biggest 2nd week drop in the franchise since MI 2 thanks to Barbenheimer), he wasn't a draw with The Mummy, Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow all flopping (and at least 2 of those films were pretty good).

You get flops. That happens. But the name means they can bounce back. That doesn't happen anymore at all. Margot Robbie was being called potential box office poison there a while back but fortunately BARBIE has put that somewhat to bed BUT if her next film was marketed around her in a non IP role, would it hit? I doubt it now

What is the casual cinema goer going to do, pay to see it on the big screen, or wait 2 weeks to watch it for free on a streaming service they already pay for? Top Gun Maverick was famous for saying you want to see it, go to the Cinema because it won't stream for 6 months, and people went. People now have a choice of a short home release window.

Indeed, and it has self defeated the studios. But on the star thing, what has happened is you now have shit loads of straight to streaming movies that barely enter the public consciousness. Ryan Reynolds is really only known for Deadpool, yet has been in about 5 awful Netflix films. The 'star system' of Hollywood is fucked, and I doubt it returns.
