Shawn Dean, Lee Johnson or Pineapple Pete as even lower-card wrestlers, capable of picking up a win here or there.

You're absolutely right, they should, because they're all very good. Personally, I'd go for a proper Pineapple Pete run. He's fantastic.

But they're not signed. So they're not going to be presented in a way that puts them over.

There was one guy on Twitter, I don't recall his name, but appeared to make claim that AEW and WWE hadn't signed him because he's black. Let's be honest, if AEW suddenly strapped a rocket to Sonny Kiss and Big Swole, people would shit on them for pandering.

There are black wrestlers on their roster that you barely see - I'm pretty sure Sonny Kiss still hasn't wrestled on Dynamite outside of Battle Royals. Big Swole only seems to show up once in a blue moon.

Big Swole was gaining momentum before the pandemic, and with her Crohn's, you'd assume she wanted to stay safe.

Sonny Kiss is talented, and I'm a big fan, but very much in the same way I'm a big fan of Avalon. He's not going to win much, but he's entertaining and fun to watch.

Watching Dark, and while I might be in a minority, I've been really enjoying the Brandon Cutler/Librarian feud. I'm hoping it ends in a 'Someone Has To Win' match, where they both get counted out, so it restarts as a no-count-outs, and they both get DQ'd, and... so on and so forth.

One thing that's becoming a bit unavoidable - I get that they've been using local trainees a lot, but it's feeling like we're seeing a whole heap of black wrestlers losing to white wrestlers. It's becoming an awkward visual. They should work on that.

I agree with you on Cutler/Avalon. Their stuff on BTE has been innocent fun, too.

I disagree, however, with the black wrestlers thing. If the local trainees are black, and they're being paid to wrestle, I think that's cool. I don't think AEW necessarily need to put black trainees over white wrestlers just because of the BLM stuff that's going on right now. Does it make it better if a black trainee loses to a black wrestler? Or would you prefer the signed, contracted white wrestlers put the unsigned, uncontracted black wrestlers over?

There are some incredibly talented black wrestlers being featured on Dynamite and Dark recently, and maybe some of them will get signed, but as human, independent wrestlers, regardless of race, they're in a much better position than a lot of others, being paid to wrestle at a time where a lot of independent wrestlers are out of work.

Don't forget that he's going to undertake an unheard of schedule by defending his title in an open challenge.......... Yep, never been done before, nope....... If it has I haven't seen it......

You'd be hard pressed to find anything truly unique in wrestling, so if that's what you need, you might want to find something else to watch.

I don’t ever remember Kane looking that ginger in the early days of the gimmick. He’s got the full Mick Hucknall head going on there. The Big Simply Red Machine.

Because he always wore a mask with black hair attached?

Cage was signed in January and paid during his time getting surgery etc, Khan seems Really keen on him going by the post show media scrum.

He also announced Cage vs Moxley for the title at Fyter Fest. I'd love for Cage to win that one. He's a beast of a man, agile as hell, and far more entertaining in the ring than Moxley. He'd make a great champion.

I couldn’t believe it when Martha dug out the clip that was holding Owen. That flimsy piece of shit was supposed to take a man weighing, what, 210lbs? 220lbs tops. I wouldn’t have trusted it to hold a bag of shopping

I think he was said to be 240lbs.

He had a 52" chest, I read somewhere. Deceptively large man.

Who do we reckon for the mystery man? All the recent WWE releases are still in the 90 day no compete so it rules them out. Gulak is good to go though so he's a possible but I don't think a ladder match is the best place to debut a mat grappler. Outside of WWE I've heard a few mentions of Brian Cage who I think would be a really good roster addition (plus he might bring along Melissa Santos 😍). They need more big guys. Otherwise who else is out there who could slot in?

Also worth mentioning the best part of the recent no audience shows is Justin Roberts has fucked off. Hopefully that annoying twat stays home permanently. The current female announcer is good too.

Rey Mysterio is apparently nearing the end of his contract without re-signing. I'd like it to be him, if only for the big jump to a different company feel.

I'd go for Cage. He's a monster, and agile as hell too.

Gulak isn't exactly the biggest 'mystery man' name.

They hardly ever use DQ finishes for regular TV matches, they won’t use it for a tournament final to crown an inaugural champion

That's why it would be good.

They can push the fact that referee's occasionally show a little leniency and discretion when it comes to potentional DQ situations, and that emphasises that the match had gone too far, that Archer had gone too far, and there was nothing else the referee could do.

I made the suggestion of Archer getting DQd a few pages back and I still think it's the best option.

Have Jake not in his corner as he has f been for the last few weeks and have Archer just lose it and destroy Cody and get DQ'd. You either then can go like 3 different ways, have Archer hunt Cody for the belt, have Archer move onto someone else like Ambrose or even Omega or someone for a small story and that allows a host of heel challengers claim Cody doesn't deserve the belt as he won it by being beaten senseless.

You get the idea with Cody even though he's VP his character is always worried about living in the shadow of everyone else or that he's not seen as world class. So you get the fighting champion in him until he meets Archer again. Putting what is essentially a weekly TV belt on Archer is gonna take the shine off him real quick when he should just be appearing to squash people.

    I love all of this.

Yes, victims of harrassment always go to the police.

I get what you're saying but I mean, they went to Reddit? People on Reddit told them to go to the police. It was a one night DM conversation, not weeks or months or years of full on scary harassment.

Realistically, could the police not investigate based on the screenshots shared online?

  11. 31 minutes ago, Loki said:

It's certainly gone quiet on the Dream allegations though, hasn't it.

WWE haven't said anything. Dream said he didn't do anything wrong. If the screenshots were real, the accusers would have gone to the police by now and he'd surely have been arrested?

  12. 2 minutes ago, WyattSheepMask said:

If I recall correctly, the accuser asked for the charges to be dropped shortly before a trial could begin. There’s been suspicion that they were paid off for years, but I’d have to re-read about it to be certain.

Obviously, just because it didn’t go anywhere doesn’t show guilt or innocence either way, just that there wasn’t enough evidence to take it further

Yeah absolutely. I'd gamble that she was paid off. Unfortunately, I guess we'll never know.

  13. I watched an interview with Steve-O about how Jackass 4 came to be, this morning.

Jesus, he looks healthy. I'm willing to bet he and Knoxville are in the best shape of the bunch.

Also, not to be too morbid, but is Wee-Man alive? Dwarves have shorter life expectancy, no?

I'm sure if WWE treat this as a big issue, they will also imidietly remove Lawler from everything

I can't imagine a diference in treatment between a gay black man & a straight white man......

Does Jerry Lawler have a sending dick pics to underage girls and asking for nudes scandal?

    Serious question. I don't know.

It’s an hour long, he can find which part to listen to. Just like I found the part of vice doc which suggested he was talking bollocks.

I had a quick skim through it to see if I could find it, but I couldn't. It's definitely on there though, I listened to it a few months back. He's not talking bollocks, but I don't think it paints Darby as an actual cunt, just a little questionable in his decisions.

Edit - if you're a fan of Darby, the hour is worth it, to hear his story.

Might not be a minor story for long, but static seems to be forming about Velveteen sending nudes to underage boys. Innocent until proven guilty and all that, but the pic and one side of the story are swimming around...

I've just seen this on Twitter. The evidence is pretty damning.

As @Kamaras-Tash mentioned, it’s now on a 7 day delay in the UK, probably due to WWE’s deal with BT Sport. Until recently it was on a 2 day delay, which might still be in the case in the US, perhaps someone who watches via VPN can confirm that

I just used my VPN, and it still doesn't appear to be there.

No worries, I'll Watch through other means.

    Thanks for the responses.
