  1. This Vic Joseph fella on 205, fucking monotone nasally cunt. "WHOOAAAAAA"...."OHHHHHHHH", it's like he constantly shocked, he saw Cedric do the same flip the week before, and the week before that, and every single bastard match. If he's the next commentating robot off the production line then the next 5 years are going to be real bad.

  2. Think Angle said "the cops have been called off" at some point, like it's an option, "999 what's your emergency"....."yeah my husband has just hit me with a brick".....calls back....."he's going mad that I've rang you so don't come ok. see ya"

    Fucking mess.

  3. I dunno tbh, just gives off a bad vibe when talking about her in particular, constantly reminding us that announcing isn't her passion, it's his, but not hers. She wants to do music but aint really good enough so does WWE instead. I just didn't like the tone of the book at all.

Can't recall anything about an arrest in the UK, but to be honest about half way through I mentally checked out, once the he mentioned how hard the travel was for the 33rd time I'd had it.

  4. Instantly like Rollins more, that move is over as fuck with me. Said it before, you have something cool like that you can't just strip it away and expect it not to matter, a Wrestler is a package, that includes music, look, charisma, moves etc etc etc and they took a big piece of him away by stopping him do that. Graves said something about Fin got a Blackout? Something like that, I wonder if that is what they are calling it, the Blackout, little nod to his previous persona.

  5. Yeah I read Roberts book before JR's, and to be honest it might be a reason I enjoyed JR's so much, because it was coming off the back of the Roberts effort. I just didn't like it at all, it was ok up to half way, i.e. his journey into Wrestling, his fandom etc, all relatable stuff, however from WWE onwards I just hated it more as each chapter went by. I was reading it and he was describing this 'horrible' stuff that was happening to him and I'm sat thinking "is that it, grow fucking up", which I guess wasn't what I was supposed to feel. To me he just came across as whiny mardarse, the constant complaints about travel, 3 chapters ago it was his dream and something he'd have done anything to attain. The passive aggressive tone to his writing when talking about Lillian Garcia etc. By the time I reached the last few chapters I almost gave up and just sacked it off but I wanted to finish it just for completest reasons.

  6. For anybody on the fence or unsure, Jim Ross book is absolutely brilliant, best Wrestling book I have read for a long time. Got Pillman next up so that might be short lived but I enjoyed the hell out of good old JR's.

  7. I can't be doing with Corny's podcast ventures anymore, he spends half of it bashing Trump and half bashing Kenny Omega. On the other Hand Dutch Mantell had a very promising start, first episode focused on him coming in a few years ago and managing Swagger, he is one I could listen to all day to be honest.

  8. I think if Jericho sticks around for another feud Naito would be tremendous, am I right in saying Naito has been a bit outspoken in that he feels he and Okada are THE main event, as in the biggest match, whilst Jericho is obviously tooting his own horn in all this as he tends to do. After what happened a few years with Naito at WK and now this year where the perception could be he is again not getting the moment he deserves I reckon that feud would be brilliant.

  9. hahaha Elias seriously is brilliant, what a character, great timing with his one liners and more charisma than any bastard on the show. His reactions are growing by the week.

Steph wearing her 11 inch heels again so she's taller than all the Women (and half the Male) Wrestlers. Cunt.

  10. I give it a week before they advertise Braun, "come see 205 live, AND NOW as a special attraction watch Braun Strowman, the MONSTER AMONG MEN IN ACTION". Yeah nice one, so it's essentially a Raw house show then. The arrogance of those within the company to think 205 could draw as a touring brand is absolutely beyond ridiculous.

  11. Anybody still listening to Sean Mooney? Duggan pissed off and he does it alone now and has guests, it's way better as he has some people on I've not really heard on any of my other weekly listens, had Mene Gene on, Tugboat Ottman and this week Brian Knobbs. Best one though was 2 weeks ago, he had Koko fucking B Ware on, I'm almost certain he'd been drinking, give it a listen!!

  12. So Final Battle is Tonight, and they have some pretty good stuff on the show. The Bully/Dreamer vs Briscoe's street fight which has been built tremendously and has turned in to one of my favourite angles of the year. Jay Briscoe in particular has been so good as a vile cretin prodding and mocking Bully Ray.

Main event is Cody defending the world title against Dalton Castle, again a good build for this one, say what you want about Cody on the indies but it's been a roaring success overall, he brings something totally different to the table in ROH and I enjoy watching him. Castle is over with the crowd and it should be a good match.

  13. Getting away from specific Wrestlers, to me the root of the problem is they just aren't cool, it's not THE place to be, in fact it's miles from it. That is what I meant when I said 500 million to spare, they need an injection of something that makes people go "Jesus I didn't see that coming". Everything they do and everybody they have is so vanilla.

New Japan is cool, ROH has the Bullet Club and Cody which have given them a shot in the arm, companies like PWG attract bloody Hollywood celebs and MMA fighters, the British scene is bubbling, all these places just frankly take the piss out of TNA in terms of buzz and cool factor. Unless they can pay the money that attracts a mega star I don't see how it changes, they will keep guys like OVE in a job and fans will look at them and think "those guys look homeless why would I watch". No stars, no reason to watch.

  14. Yeah unless they have 500 million or a magic wand it's in the shitter. It's as bad now as I've seen it, Eli Drake is absolutely dreadful, he is beyond mid card indie, his fucking gear isn't even consistent which really bugs me, looks like he forgot his stuff and got changed in lost property, fucking macho man wrist tape on just one hand, one elbow pad, shit facial hair. Morrison is the worst promo in the business. Lashley is the only ace in the pack and he is stuck in this MMA vs TNA feud that's been going on roughly 14 years. The commentary is the worst in Wrestling, Borash has zero range in his voice, he sounds the same as he does ordering a Chinese as when someone gets slammed on thumb tacks, it's terrible.

It's got too much of a stink on it I'm afraid.

  15. Liam Todd Martin has done an in depth review on his PWTorch podcast with wade keller this week. He does all the book reviews for the site so i tweeted him a few weeks back and told him it was out and to get on it, he gives it a massive thumbs up and highly recommends.

  16. Also, how brilliant is Regal, the opening to this week's show was so simple yet effective, it only lasted a couple of minutes but in a few sentences he explained where Drew is and what is happening in his absence in such a charming way. You are straight away drawn into the product and you accept what he's telling you and go "ok yeah that makes sense".
