Cor, Roman Reigns is shit at everything that isn't actually wrtestling, isn't he?!

He managed to brag about his dick and then be homophobic in about 6 seconds. He's about as likeable as Piers Morgan, with absolutely zero wit or intelligence.

At least with Cena, through it all, you always got the impression he was a good guy who had a sense of fun. Roman just comes across as a brickheaded, arrogant jock.

    I hope Cena beats him.

Bang on. That is why the notion that it's the same type of booing that Cena gets is utter nonsense. People Boo Cena cos it's now part of the show and it's like "c'mon we are all in on it let's have some fun" but in reality I reckon 95% of the people that boo him would miss him if he weren't around and know the WWE is much better for him.

On the other hand I absolutely think a certain section of people hate Reigns, as in I don't want or need you on my TV. He is not likeable in any way, the sort of prick that openly hits on your missus in front of you, schoolyard bully type. He is terrible on the mic and at times has looked like he might start crying in the last 2 weeks, he needs to step up to the mark and quick.

  2. I found Strowmans promo really confusing, why was he whining about being in a cage match? Surely to god his character don't do that. I was half asleep as I watched it so have I misjudged the tone or did he turn into Seth Rollins/Kevin Owens/Dolph Ziggler/Jinder and ALL of WWE's heels during that promo?

That Ref is a better promo than half the roster.

I'm now at a point with Bray to see how long I last before I tune out, it's down to about 8 seconds at the minute.

  3. Came away with £660 profit on this so it all went absolutely perfectly as far as I'm concerned, played out exactly as I saw it in my head in the days leading up, except Conor lasted maybe 2 rounds more than I thought. Printing money.

  4. Cracking little episode I thought this week. Heavy Machinery are my favourite tag team in WWE, and Dozovic is something quite special. Probably my favourite Roode match in WWE so far against Strong in the main event and a continuation of the Cole/ROH invasion storyline. It's been said before but Regal is so brilliant in this NXT role, he adds a new dimension to the Authority figure, it's been done to death and is STILL being done on the main roster but in my opinion this is the best version of an Authority role I have seen.

  5. The only thing that "feels" big in the whole WWE spectrum is the Universal title picture. Those 4 chaps have turned the perception of that belt around so much. If you think back to the joke it was with Owens it's totally flipped now.

Anyway on 205, i have got into a pattern of fast forwarding to about 20 mins left to see the last thing on the show now, i cant spend any minutes of my life watching a re run of nese/cedric/swann/metalik/daivari. Great main event though this week.

  6. I have to say i didn't like Cena at all Tonight. I'm a big fan but his demeanor tonight really annoyed me, i found it to be almost disrespectful, to the point i actually thought is he trying to sabotage Reigns in some way. It was all way too cute for me, surely he should be selling the gravitas of being in the same ring opposite Reigns, for what is clearly step 1 of a long term programme.

As i say maybe just a personal taste but something rubbed me wrong about it.

  7. Re Bullet Club, I think they have just overstayed their welcome, with the sub factions within the group itself it's all becoming a bit daft. Also, the emergence of other groups have relegated them in my eyes to 3rd place, Los Ingobernables are a clear number 1, they actually come across like a true unit, a group of guys in it together. Then Suzuki Gun also, with the addition of Sabre Jr. as some kind of Suzuki protégé, and the return of the Killer Elite Squad.

When I think of Bullet Club now I think of two bob guys like Hangman Page and Chase Owens, all the soul seems to have drained out of the group. I was interested in the Cody/Omega throwing in the towel stuff but who knows if that will lead anywhere fast.

  8. Yeah Omega played a part in Callis landing the job, also they have some kind of history family wise, maybe Callis knew Omega's old man or uncle or something from back in the Canadian Territories, sorry I can't remember specifics but I read that somewhere. This is what I was saying about Callis calling Omega matches, you can tell they are friends and it's coming from a real place. I think Callis is terrific in New Japan, another bit I particularly enjoy is him selling the danger of Suzuki, like he literally shits himself every time he walks around the ringside area and his yell of "JESUS CHRIST" when a big forearm goes in tickles me.

  9. The Blonde haired security guy took a tremendous bump in that melee, got clubbed around the back and did a fucking Flair into the turnbuckle and flip over the top rope to the floor type bump!!! Popped me big time that did.

Bray Wyatt is the absolute worst.

  10. Absolutely stupid of TNA to get involved, they deserve everything they get in this situation. Who the fuck touches someone like Del Rio in his current mind set and mental state. To me it's utterly ridiculous that someone of power could look at that and go "yep, positives outweigh the negatives, let's take the risk". Every week for about 2 years he is seemingly on Periscope or Twitter or Snapchat or whatever bollocks calling Triple H big nose, offering Xavier Woods a fight or saying everyone in WWE is a pussy. He is a ticking time bomb and TNA now have yet more stink on them with the whole thing, after the Broken gimmick stuff in which fans are against them (even though legally they are in the right). They just lurch from one PR nightmare to the next, the upside to Del Rio is so miniscule compared to the potential problems he brings that again, it's mind boggling.

  11. I'd like to take a second to mention the commentary, Kevin Kelly and Don Callis have tremendous chemistry, Callis has been one of my stand outs of the year within Wrestling for his work on New Japan. His unwavering support of Omega is just brilliant, so reminiscent of Heenan and Flair in the WWF, you can tell it comes from a very genuine place. Even Romero gatecrashing the final few nights worked out ok, didn't hear as much of Callis but certainly Romero did his bit.

Now it's all said and done, I think my top 3 matches in no order are Okada/Suzuki, Okada/Omega and Naito/Ibushi. Evil was my standout performer outside the main few guys, boy did he grasp the opportunity, his STO finisher is fucking brilliant.

  12. Mate you just spoke in a foreign language, I have no idea what that is.

Sanada basically gets them face down arse up and wraps the arms underneath and behind the ankles, it's ridiculous and could be escaped in 3 seconds but looks pretty cool.

  13. Yano is brilliant. He always comes along at the perfect time to break the intensity and hard hitting nature of these cards. My top 3 Yano moments are the hair pulling spot with Omega, tying Juice's braids to the guard rail for a 19 count and best one getting put in the paradise lock by Sanada and just being stuck up on the ramp for fucking ages and losing!!!

  14. Okada is unbelievable, if you have not yet, check out his match with Kojima, just look at that damn match. The storytelling, in the build up to G1 Okada has been saying in the press that the old guard shouldn't be in it - Kojima, Nagata etc and saying he could beat Kojima in under 5 minutes. Knowing that if you watch the match it is an absolute work of art, the facials from both men, Okada going ever so slightly heel as the crowd roared Kojima on. It ended up going between 15 and 20 minutes and Okada sold it so well after, like "jesus that was harder than I imagined" whilst Kojima had the look of he gave it everything he had but just came up short.

What a tournament it's been so far, it makes me happy I watch Wrestling, nothing gets stale, if you just watch the G1 matches it's maybe 1hr 45mins and done. Everybody has a storyline, every match feels meaningful. Personal highlights for me so far are Omega/Suzuki - Omega not looking in to Suzuki's eyes for about the first 5 minutes of the match. Evil/Sanada....both have stepped up big time, particularly Evil who has been tremendous and has one of my favourite finishers going. Bad Luck Fale continuing to improve and be such a beast. Omega/Yano with their comedy match. Omega vs Elgin in a classic. The rise of Juice Robinson, what a fantastic babyface he is.

I could go on and on. Brilliant stuff.

  15. I think he's simply checked out. Waiting to cash his chips in and get back to Japan. Let's face it it's been a disaster, he didn't draw crowds in NXT and is flat as fuck on the main roster. The logic behind it all is absolutely baffling, make him WWE's version of Pee Wee Herman with his quips and one liners, have him going 20 minute 50/50 matches with Ziggler and losing to Corbin THEN stick him in with Cena. It's been an abomination really and the people involved in writing for him should get the fuck out of Wrestling.

Let me say, I loved him in Japan, but I think he's getting a pass on here because he's Nakamura, call it like it is.
