I've said it before on here, but I have no idea what Nakamura is supposed to be. I've never watched any Japanese wrestling, so barring small clips had never seen him before NXT, but all I hear is him called the "Rock Star", but no explanation of why he is a rock star. he doesn't sing, or act, like one and the only link is that he looks off his head all the time. He hasn't even got a rock music entrance theme, so I'm completely lost.
For me, he needs some vignettes or sit down interviews to explain his character to those of us that had no knowledge of him before he moved stateside....
I agree with this.
I think they heard him talk and thought shit, this guy really aint got good English. I keep hearing people in the Wrestling media and even guys like Jericho saying he CAN talk English, but I think it's awful. I honestly can only understand about a third of what he says and the fact they had him cut loads of promos early on with a fucking gum shield in, well. Since then we have seen promos consisting of witty one liners and quips that last about 10 seconds. Let me say this isn't me having a pop, There wouldn't be enough time left in my life to learn Japanese, I dropped French at School as I couldn't grasp it, he does English better than I do Japanese but it's still just not good enough in my opinion.

What's that mean??

Ishii vs Ibushi might be my favourite match of the tournament thus far, bloody hell. Ishii might honestly be my favourite guy to watch at present, I'm going to enjoy him whilst he lasts because at the rate he's going I give him 6 months.

Cass is up there for sure.
Kassius Ohno is number one for me - Looks homeless.
Kevin Owens - Just can't bear to see him get someone in a headlock, I imagine him smelling like onion.
Baron Corbin - Absolute fucking style disaster, he looks like Frank Worthington. Shit boots.
-
Said that a while back, a lot of them have a similar tone to them also, like moody brooding fuckers that spend 3hrs whining.
Has Cass finished beating down Big Show yet? Good lord.

I'm absolutely loving this Samson/Balor feud, it's a refreshing thing to see a guy who is seen as a top star sort of come down a tier and work a guy on the way up, meeting somewhere in the middle it benefits both of them. Samson is improving so much. And what happens, Bray fucking Wyatt has to spoil it. Twat.

Aye, he'd have been a tremendous addition to the Dynamic Dudes Alex Riley.
On Podcasts, Wade Keller is over a Podcast One now, he did an interview with Jack Swagger and a WWE Writer on Friday which I listened to last night, it was actually quite interesting.

Nakamura is the absolute drizzling fucking shits. Literally none of his offence even gets close to connecting, it's the most frustrating case for a while just how backwards he has gone. What the actual fuck is going on, is he being told his style won't fly on the main roster and so is holding back? Is it a personal choice he has made with a view to earning good money for a few years but saving his bump card for when he inevitably returns to Japan so he can put on great matches back home and does not burn out over here? I just need something, some kind of explanation, because by the show I give less and less of a toss about the guy.

He is a really interesting case Lorcan, there is something endearing about him, he's definitely a bit loopy. You can tell he gets into a "zone" before Wrestling, he literally bursts through the curtain and the look on his mug is like "This is fucking war let's go" as he storms to the ring looking like the last thing he did was a line of speed off the table in guerrilla.
He is very lucky he is in an era where I'd say a good percentage of the roster are happy to engage him in this you twat me, I will twat you style, they like to rough each other up. Imagine Oney Lorcan vs The Honky Tonk Man. That pre match chat would last about 45 seconds, consisting of Honky going "No kid we aint doing that".
-
Enjoyed that main event, similar to Joe/Brock, nothing flashy, just 2 big brutes having a hard hitting physical (but not dangerous) match. Dain really impressed me in this outing.
Oh, and Lorcan fucked someone else up!!! Proper mad bastard.

Can't help but agree on Dozovic, that guy is seriously becoming one of my favourite Wrestlers, not just tags, but in general. Did you see the way he belly to belly'd the AOP chap, fucking hell!!! I look at him and honestly think no feat of strength is beyond this man, he could suplex a horse.
Just thinking how far the AOP have come, they really do put on cracking matches. Black is still my guy, that is the best kick I've seen so far, Fish took it flush and sold it like he'd been shot.

It's certainly not Seth fucking Rollins, when he made that save this week, he looks like a child swimming the first time you take the armbands off.

Adam Cole is pretty bad for it.
I listened to I think it was Jim Cornette who said it's been around years, which actually for some reason shocked me as I always considered it a more recent thing. But, he said the difference is they do it now with every single kick, whether 1 minute or 20 minutes in to a match, where as it used to be done on say the last punch of an exchange late in the match to create a lot more drama, like "shit he finally landed the big shot".

They surely can't have Angle/Dixie having an affair. Especially after the documentary went out last night with Angles wife getting more air time than Dixie and talking about their relationship.
This is the WWE mate, the company that show Nia Jax on Breaking Ground being like a loveable Auntie and going over picking people up asking if they are ok after throwing them, then being a heel on TV. The company that put together that tremendous comeback special for Rollins that had him display more personality than all the years he'd been on TV, then had him come back as a whining heel. The company that for god knows how long has not acknowledged the NXT universe on Raw/Smackdown, so you get Triple H playing the caring Daddy figure and hero to full sail for giving them the real Wrestling, then being a knobhead with his missus on a Monday night. It's mental, the structure is mental. Anything that happens only matters in that moment, then they want you to forget it and swallow the next bit. Essentially it's like Men in Black.

FUCKING SAMOA JOE!!! My god how good is he, talk about the complete package. When he told Brock to look at him when he's speaking, and Brock bulled up to him, fucking goosebumps from me there.

Hasn't that moron War Machine got a load of crap tats. I remember seeing him in some porno or another and thinking he looked a right sap.

So shocked at the general reaction to Brock vs Joe. I fucking LOVED this match, 2 brutes, credible, believable. This was everything i love about Wrestling, i was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time with almost a nervous type feeling in my stomach, wondering how brutal is this gonna get? Is Brock going to lose his head at some point. Joe came out a star for me, Brocks selling was masterful.
Also the pace of the match, it kind of slowed a little after a blistering start, kind of reminiscent of many HW UFC fights, but even in it's slower pace its intriguing because anything can happen. I loved it.

Well that's cheered me right up, seeing a load of my old favourites that are now dead. Nice one Impact.

Sadly they won't get the buyrate for this show because of the long term damage done but they've done a very solid job with this show especially the work online.
Looking forward to it though, be interesting to see the direction moving forward.
I agree, they have done a very solid job on this. The main event has a big fight feel, 2 legit fighters, whilst in the main I can't really stand Del Rio he's been passable for me so far on impact.
The other main matches, EC3 has been great lately, and Storm seems somewhat motivated. They have some fun stuff on also, JB/Parks vs Steiner/Josh will be something to see, they have got the NFL player teaming with Moose, the mixed tag with Davey and Eddie and the wives.
Also, one I'm looking forward to, 2 out of 3 falls Low Ki vs Dutt for the X-Div title, a simple one on one match, no 6 or 8 man cluster. I'm pulling for them to do well with this show.

Right i'd like to talk to you about the Spud/Swoggle street fight, cos this has just about killed me.
So swoggle starts by throwing chalk at spud, they brawl on the ramp yeah, and swoggle turns to the crowd to celebrate and spud fucking LEVELS him with a garbage can😂 i literally burst out laughing, the fat shit went over i thought he was dead. Next thing spud argues with the guest ref - an indian midget, and spud pulls his kecks down so the lad tackles spud and swoggle returns the favour exposing spuds thong!! He then picks him up on his shoulders and the little ref comes off the top....fucking DOOMSDAY DEVICE!! Swoggle then picks up spud and samoan drops him through a table for the win.
Please go and watch it, most fun i have had with wrestling in a small while. Spud was great.

Oney Lorcan don't give a flying fuck does he, I swear he will have brain damage by 40.
-
I saw it during Heyman's in ring bit, it's towards the isle near the front!!!
-
That Enzo/Cass segment really was belting TV, great work by both men.
Also, the "Paul Heyman Is Sexy" sign I miss funny signs.
