  1. As penance for that fucking joke:

Half a soss, 3 "fish roulette" ie offcuts. Destroyed in about 8 seconds.

Not pictured:small round bread thing named locally to you as per the chart below.

less roasted stuff nowadays which I find too tart

Tartness and acidity comes from lower altitudes, not roast level.

For deep, chocolate roasts look to Colombian and Peruvian beans. Buy something with a 'roasted on' date, which is more honest than a year old 'best before' date. A really decent nationwide company has sprung up called Roastworks which combines availability with good ethics.

Fully plating up a huge serving of egg ready to beface,

This year's fashion is an egg mask.

Genuinely can't see how the Traitors can't win this one. It feels like they're editing towards Andrew taking it all without Harry but something pretty devastating has to happen for floppy army lad to throw it away...

takes a bit of the bitterness away

If it's bitter, buy better coffee. The hand grinder is a great start. When starting on the path to coffee noncery, 80% of your budget should be on the grinder. Always burr, never blades.

We went out at lunchtime today and I decided to have a coffee, now I'm all wired and feel like I've been on some crap drugs and I probably won't be able to sleep tonight. Worst thing is, it tastes shit so wasn't even worth it.

Anyone know how to get caffeine out of your system quickly?

Drink loads of water. Get your kidneys working to process it all. You'll be up and down to the loo all night which ironically, will keep you awake.

Imagine if that power expanded to your other tabs as long as you had their tab open?

Umm... This happens routinely. Except the tabs can be closed. Hence constantly insta-closing buttons that say "I use cookies!!!" in ever cheery and non threatening ways.

  7. Thanks. I've been a bit anti-ninja with how ubiquitous they are but I can't find anyone with anything negative to say about them, especially the two drawer jobby.

  8. Huge Drag Race fan. Daughter asked to watch it in 2022 and suddenly we'd binged everything ever. Went to DragCon last year, and again last week. If you're on the fence DragCon is hilarious fun - there's such an atmosphere of openness, silliness and people just happy to be themselves. Look, here's me chatting Essex with Cheryl Hole:

I also had photo ops with Trinity the Tuck and Jan (Sport). Met Cheddar Gorgeous last year and they were one of the smartest, most intelligent people I've ever met.

While the whole gameshow element is good fun in the way other elimination reality shows are, my favourite parts of the show are usually when they're putting makeup on, and they open up about some experience growing up. I think it's so important for other people to hear these stories, to know they're not alone, or to understand how other people live. I can see how it's not for everyone, but this particular bit of the show is great.

I see the Americans got their own theme tune as they couldn't get the rights to use that Dusty Rhodes theme the UK version borrowed.

Ironically in the UK reboot of Wheel of Fortune Stephen Fry is introduced to the strains of "Common Man".

  10. Excellent!

Now take your scales and complete your training! Come join the rest of us bell-ends and weigh your beans. You'll be right every time, and 4% lonelier.

I'd rather be late than miss out on my coffee.

@FelatioLips how's your journey into full-on coffee nonce coming along?

If you do get a Ninja, strongly recommend following the advice someone gave me on here (apologies to whomever it was that I can't remember, please don't kill me), and go directly to their website, as they offer the biggest discounts.

Thanks for the tip but I will be going to Amazon as I have gift cards to spend. Annoyingly it was at it's lowest ever price last week! Thanks for the advice both. I will keep looking.

  13. My beloved Tefal Actifry has died after 11 years service. I'm in the market for a new airfryer and the market is very different now. Which model do you have? Do you recommend it?

  14. I had a lovely time at the Majestic in King's Lynn some years back. As with many of these, an old converted theatre, quite small inside, with a bar on each of its 3 levels.

I contemplated cropping out the guy smashing a pasty into his face but it was too UKFF to remove.
