  1. Got the email about that this morning. We’re in London during its opening week, but I don’t know if I’m going to be able to convince the wife to see it as we’re already booked doing a bunch of things. Hopefully it tours at some point.

Something that seemed to fly under the radar when it was announced, Hulu are going to be streaming the Spirited Away stage adaptation on July 3rd and 4th, the final two dates of the show’s Japan tour from Nagoya. I would expect it to appear in the usual internet places a day or so later

  2. I would imagine that it’s due to Download and other acts having to honour existing contracts from when 2020 and 2021 were cancelled. While there are others scattered around the bill, System Of A Down are probably the only major act from the 2020 bill to have not been rebooked.

Its hard to tell with Metallica whether or not they’ll ever be back. I’m sure if the money was right they will be, but they can probably make more from running their own stadium shows.
Slipknot were due to run the first UK Knotfest in 2020, but seem to still have a strong relationship with Download as they haven’t broken out into doing stadiums yet like how Metallica, Rammstein or My Chemical Romance have

As for anything relating to Brexit, I doubt an act of their respective size are going to suffer from new regulations. It’s your lower level bands getting to gigs in a mates van that are going to suffer long term.

I saw today that the man himself is appearing at something called MegaCon on 20th May and amongst charging $229 for an autograph ($249 if it's on a title belt) he's also refusing to sign items such as event tickets and trading cards. He's also charging an extra $99 if you want HOF 22 next to his signature.

Now maybe you could give the benefit of the doubt and suggest that perhaps he's sick of signing things only for them to be put on eBay however firstly...he isn't signing it in an airport lobby...he's BEING PAID MINIMUM $229 per one. On top of that he's refusing to personalise anything...when doing so would drastically reduce the chances/value of resale.

For me it's the latest in a long line of examples that "The Deadman" is a twat.

There’s far bigger reasons to think he’s a twat rather than fleecing superfans. If they want to part with $229 (minimum) for his autograph then that’s on them, nobody is making that happen other than themselves. Not everyone’s going to fork over an extra $99 for the added ‘HOF 22’, but there are some that will.
It’s like how KISS allow people to pay to watch them soundcheck. If people are willing to pay for it, then of course he’s going to take their money, same as the vast majority of us would

Those morons that complain to the TV channels about absolutely anything. The latest, the other day, being that Holly Willoughby hadn’t quite done all her buttons up when presenting The Games. Some of the “strippers” comments etc make me wonder just who exactly these sad bastards are. Do they have nothing better to do? It’s not as if she actually had her tits hanging out. Next they’ll be complaining there’s too much ankle on show during Strictly. Pathetic.

You should check out the Pointless Letters twitter account

Those superfan experiences look ok and might not be too expensive.

Yeah, they’re definitely not about fleecing the super fans for as much as they possibly can at every opportunity

Hotel packages/meet and greets sound pretty expensive

It probably won’t be much more expensive than if you were to book everything individually yourself. For a small upswing they’re essentially just taking the hassle out of you having to do that.

  6. So apparently the Tories are going to get away with their rule breaking, a “none story” according to Captain Cuntacular JRM, because the rules may have been “too restricted” to begin with.

    Fuck this shit

I genuinely think this place is the only corner of the internet where you can actually have a constructive discussion around wrestling (well, constructive in a wrestling sense), the replies to this tweet are like two sets of rival football fans going back and forth.

I’ll admit I didn’t get too far in those comments before wanting to get out, but I always love it when you get one like “people are switching off because of the awful booking”, which of course they don’t provide a single example of.

The demo talk is past the point of tedium, but surely an 840,000 average has to be considered good considering they’re up against the NBA Play-Offs

I just clocked spangly jacket lass and cowboy hat cunt. They looked devastated when Hook shook Danhausen's hand. Delightful.

They were on last week too being equally as fucking irritating.

Dynamite is in Texas next week whereas they’ve been in the North East for the last couple of weeks, so hopefully that’s the end of them

Didn’t Miz do exactly that with Lashley and then Cashing in on Drew just last year?

Similar. Miz wasn’t anywhere near on running out time to cash in, he’d won the briefcase from Otis somehow towards the end of the year before, so even if he just picked up Otis’ time he still has the better part of 6 months left

Whats the longest they’ve gone with someone holding the briefcase before cashing in? Was it that first year that Edge won it? He won it at Wrestlemania 22 then cashed in at New Years Revolution, which would’ve been around 9 months later. Have they ever come close to going that long since?

  10. Jesus Christ. I can’t even get my head around the pain he must be in. They say no parent should have to bury their child, but to have to do it twice is incomprehensible.

Also just announced is that DR Congo international Jody Lukoki, who started his career at Ajax as well as playing in Bulgaria and Turkey, has passed away at just 29 years of age
