NJPW World have created a Playlist celebrating Inokiâs career. A lot of it is behind the sun paywall but thereâs a lot of stuff thatâs Free to view as well, including his Jan 4th 1996 against Vader from just before Vader arrived in the WWF.

If I remember right the Patterson/Slaughter match was released as part of the Falls Count Anywhere DVD/BluRay set a few years back, but I donât that sold very well so this is a good way for people to see it.
I like a lot of these collections. They omit some of the more obvious stuff to give some forgotten matches a new lease of life. This one has the HBK/Batista Stretcher Match from One Night Stand 2008 which Iâve just given a watch as I donât think Iâve seen since it happened and itâs a decent scrap.

There was a period during the COVID era were Jerry Lynn appeared on TV in some capacity for about 10 weeks in a row and I was convinced he was going to do one last match, but it never came to pass.Â
Iâm sure heâs still got one last match in him and this is as a good storyline to work that into as it could be. Doesnât have to anything epic, and nor should it be for two guys with a combined age of 110, but I bet you could get a good 10 minute match out of it -
I donât doubt that Labour may have opened up a lead in the polls, but I bet there are still a shitload of people that are voting Tory and not admitting to it

Despite Tony Sniffâs supposed stop to requested releases, it would appear as though Andrade is on his way out the door and not giving a single shot about it
Or heâs just pissing about and not actually going anywhere, you decide

Still watching but like others Iâm not exactly enamoured with it.
Being predominantly Targaryen focused works against it I fell, as in GoT you could chop & change between more characters and their stories, whereas here the scope seems a lot more narrow.
I didnât realise just how much time jumping there was going to be in it though. I get that theyâre adapting a single, albeit very large book, but thereâs a lot of âand then for a while nothing happened, untilâŚâ going on

Local Radio will be the death of Trussâ term
It didnât get any better half an hour later. Just listen to the terror in her voice
And it just gets worse

Iâll watch the full show later but that Saraya promo was the fucking pits.
âWhen they say âweâre going to make a changeâ, I promise you weâre going to make a changeâ- literally nothing to say so just say everything twice, say everything twice.
Toni Storm - âshe is the best champion AEW has ever seenâ
âBoooo!â, so thatâs her thrown under the bus. Absolutely no reaction to the the match being announced for the belt either.Britt starting off with the âwell, weâll, wellâ - having Joel Gertner come out wouldâve been better. His schtick is outdated as hell but at least the women couldâve got their heat by smacking a chauvinist.
âItâs nice to have a boss that listens to me!â- why would they when the best youâve got is âYour name rhymes with shitâ, fuck off you useless bint

Yeah, there was a trailer released a few weeks back.
Itâs going to be full of fantastic bullshit. The Wrestling equivalent of The Four Yorkshiremen.
âI beat Inoki in the Tokyo Dome, then flew over the international dateline and wrestled the previous dayâ.Â
âYou think thatâs something, I died in the ring that night and still went overâ -
Not this again

This is where we are now - a mid-budget comedy from a respected director and headed by Jon Hamm that nobody had heard of beforehand shoved out on DTV instead of being given a reasonable shot at the cinema. Which it should have got because it's really good. Hamm's much more engaging than Chevy Chase was in the role and the support cast are excellent. One of the best surprises of the year.
Â
I was reading something earlier today about Hamm handing back a little over half of his salary (the director also handed back some of his although not as much) so that they could film an extra 3 days after they struggled to get financing. I havenât seen it yet but Iâm looking forward to it, I like Jon Hamm and he seems a good egg. Well, apart from that Hazing Incident when he was at college

Is there anything particular special about TNA Turning Point 2009 in DVD?
I was in CEX earlier and they were selling a copy for 20 quid.Â
A look on Amazon and eBay and it's going for between 40 and 50.Â
I doubt that thereâs anything particularly special about the show itself (although it does feature one of those Styles/Daniels/Joe Triple Threats that were always raved about), more that itâll be out of print
