After receiving it for Christmas, I've made a start on The Gunslinger by Stephen King.

 

Only 50 pages in so far, and not sure if its good or not. I'm enjoying the general plot, although the way it's written and the 'place' its set is very jarring. It may take a little while to get used to.

Just started Modern Family , [another thing I've seemingly completely missed], which so far is pretty funny. 

Urgh, is it really that bad?

 

I liked the look of the trailer due to the whole "why did they wake up thing", although I ended up getting that spoiled for me recently. Still thought it might be "OK", but I've heard nothing but bad things.

Extra kudos for using a Triple H burying talent joke that would have suited 2003 but now is totally misplaced for the advocat of NXT.

whilst it raised a smile upon reading about it, it's only because "thats a thing I 'member" , rather than it actually happens. Triple H has been nothing but a put over machine in terms of physically wrestling people and then with the whole NXT stuff as well, it's old news. 

 

The next joke will be about how he's only in charge because he's married to the bosses daughter, because you know....lulz

I had heard a small rumor that the Jr tag belts were going to be sacked off, and them focus on the other tag belts, although I haven't seen any evidence of this in the product itself.

 

Otherwise, I don't mind the westerners. Guys like Omega, are to me at least, full time Japan anyway. He's been there for years hasn't he? Although building more Japanese stars should be on the cards for them.

For the first time ever, I watched National Lampoons Christmas Vacation on the weekend. I wouldn't say its amazing or anything, but it did make me laugh out loud in certain places.

 

This scene made me laugh a lot, even though it's probably not that funny all in all.

...she again brought up people who I may or may not fancy and I just told her straight up that I liked her and would like to get to know her. Her reply was that was flattered. Nothing has really moved on from this, still friendly and the odd text - - not sure if I should just leave it or just ask her out... However, not sure I want to do that and be turned down when we work together.

 

If shes asking you about who you like in the office, did you ask her who shes likes? It sounds like one of those things people only ask you about, because they want then to be asked about it in return. If she says "Oh man I want to be railed by Dave from accounting", you know where you stand.

 

And also, maybe she thought you were joking? Like shes says "oh who do you like" and your response is "you", with you two being good friends, maybe she didn't take it seriously?

I recently played the Batman Love Letter game, which is very quick and easy to pick up/play. I'll be honest as say I have very little patience for games, (anything that takes longer that 10 minutes to explain just pisses me right off) but Love Letter is great. I haven't played as many games as I'd have liked to this year, but highlights have been: Boss Monster, Battlestar Galactica, Love Letter and Pandemic as well.

 

A bunch of my friends play D&D as well, although I've never ventured into that world of gaming yet. Is it any good?

Yeah, keep it shtum mate. if it wasn't anything intentional or you purposefully going out of the way to cheat on her, then I'd leave it out.

 

I also have anxiety issues, although have never done anything of that nature at all.

In total fairness, I watched films like Robocop and Terminator 2 as a kid......although I wouldn't let my kid watch anything like that, so each to their own.

 

From what I've heard rouge one is not suitable for kids at all, but up to you hah.

I would argue that Rollins is in fact great, BUT he personally think's he's better than everybody else, so doesn't try as hard....because he just presumes by doing what he does, he's instantly the best.

 

I only get this from some of the promo stuff that showed up from the Shield doc, where he mentions about practically arguing his was into a WWE contract (calling Jon Laurenitis out about signing him) and then acting like a massive arse in development.

Yeah, generally, it's not for me.

 

Barring the odd Action figure and T-shirt of somebody I like, I wouldn't make use of half the stuff that comes inside, but I'll keep my eyes on the shop for random individual bits I could pick up in the future hah.

 

Totally love the whole idea of these crates though, and if I was a still a teen and really heavily into wrestling (as I used to be) I would have been all over this ha.

There was a recent promo with Sami Zayn and Mick Foley. I hadn't seen this until very recently, and in reading: "...And Foley's teeth fell out", I presumed that was some sort of analogy to him fluffing his lines.  I saw the promo over the weekend, and was surprised to see his actual teeth did indeed fall out of his mouth. 

 

I didn't even know he had dentures.

Is the whole title switch idea for Sasha/Charlotte to build the "Charlotte has never lost on PPV"? Just wondering if they realise she doesn't have to lose on TV either to make that a thing.

Ah, thats pretty cool.

 

I do like some of the stuff that comes in the WrestleCrates, although I'm not really a big enough fan of *most* of the companies (Like Progress/other UK companies etc) or would have the space for a lot of the other items hah.

The VOD won't be worth it, when you can get almost every impact for free on YouTube each week....and the fact TNA as a whole just aren't worth the money.

Total nonstop deletion was an absolute masterpiece well worth checking out if you get the chance

The in ring stuff looked cheap as hell. It only picked up when the "normal" deletion stuff kicked off....and it wasn't as good as last two. I kind of agree with Batista on this one, he's gone and jumped the shark already. If this had stayed as a short segment on a regular program you'd get away with it, but because its a whole episode of the same stuff, its not really that funny.

 

The only thing I will say is that Spud is great.
