  1. As cool as that is, if he was in that area then heā€™s missed on out Steeleā€™s chippy in Cleethorpes. Proper chippy experience, served by old dears in pinnies and every fish & chips is accompanied by a pot of tea and sliced white bread.Ā

I suppose the better question would be why shouldn't it be in there?Ā  Would be a bit strange to exclude.

Because Iā€™ve never considered asexuals to be an oppressed or marginalised group needing championing, do people in to BDSM get their own letter or are they in with the pluses?

Seems a bit Triple H/DX to me.

  3. What does I and A stand for in this context?

Indifferent and Apathetic? Like how I feel about the ever growing list of shit I am supposed to be concerned about.Ā

(talking about my general nihilistic view these days, not LGBT+ issues)

  4. I assume the Nuremberg style trial that Brown is bumping his stupid looking Droopy face about will also be looking in to the war crimes committed by his Government? Would take a blowtorch to mark their necks.Ā

  5. Sorry for your loss, Jazzy. Sounds like an awful experience.

Hope Iā€™m not being insensitive by posting this but I was pretty pleased with this pic I managed to take, mainly because sheā€™s never at peace for more than a second.

This is the very essence of publicity whoring, only saying shit to stay in people's minds, not because it would even remotely happen.Ā

Putin's a well-known practitioner of judo, he's a former operative for the USSR government so he's probably trained up for combat, and there've been rumours he's been on steroids as well. It'd be like a Rottweiler and his chew toy.

Judging by older pictures of him heā€™s definitely got some moon face going now, very common side effect of some steroids. Question is, is he bulking or is it being used to treat an illness?

  7. Thought it might be a bit uncouth to pop it in Comedy News Stories but stuff like this really needs to fuck off. Looking forward to ordering Beijing Duck or Lamb Chennai sometime soon. Thereā€™s little worse than big business and their ā€œIā€™m helpingā€ bullshit.Ā

  8. Damien Rice was the worst for this. Paid a fortune to see him in Edinburgh and he spent the majority of the gig mumbling in to the microphone in the densest Irish accent youā€™ve ever heard, he might as well have been speaking in tongues. Couldnā€™t even get pissed to make up for it as the pretentious twat banned alcohol from being drunk during the performance, or so he thought, we went for a fag and jumped across to the offy and stuck two bottles of wine in my mates handbag.Ā

  9. People who park about 6ft away from the petrol pump, especially if using the one closest to the exit, meaning itā€™s a squeeze for whoever is behind to get past, if they can at all.Ā

I wasn't Adrians closest friend by a long shot, and geography but reading that yesterday made me put the 'believe' t-shirt on for work today. I think bringing his name into it was low class and has had me in a somewhat weird funk all day.Ā  Anyways onwards and upwards.

Because the opening poster is Jay Phoenix, a weirdo nonce, and heā€™s trying to get your sympathy.Ā

  11. Just finished working with a Ukrainian Captain who Iā€™ve got to know fairlyĀ well over the last few years. Heā€™s signing off his vessel tomorrow to fly to Bucharest then drive to Odessa to collect his family and take them to the Romanian border, knowing he wonā€™t be able to cross it with them. My heart was breaking for him, it looked like he hadnā€™t slept for days. šŸ˜¢

  12. I had no idea Putin and his Oligarchs were so noble that they would happily be absorbing all of these sanctions themselves and not passing any of their losses on to the general population. Can we have them as our leaders?

  13. Well, yeah, obviously but that wasnā€™t my point. Without context that video might be showing, in whatā€™s probably a very tense environment, border guards seeing men of a certain age approach and have prevented them from crossing, the probably didnā€™t think to ask what theyā€™re undergrad was in. By all accounts, the Polish have been head and shoulders above everyone else in offering all kinds of support. Our Government have said Ukrainians can come here, as long as they can fill out the online form and agree to pick fruit. Letā€™s not lose sight of whoā€™s doing what.

I'm seeing multiple reports of Indians, Nigerians and other people of colour being denied entry into Poland by both Poland and Ukraine.

Iā€™m not excusing what could be pretty heinous behaviour but isnā€™t it true that itā€™s only women, children and elderly that are being encouraged to flee? Iā€™ve read that men of fighting age are being instructed to stay in Ukraine.Ā

  15. After putting off Mad Men for years I finally made a start to it the other week. Iā€™m struggling. Almost finished the first season and Iā€™m just not interested in anything thatā€™s happening. I donā€™t care whoā€™s shagging who, I think her from Handmaidā€™s Tale is supposed to be a central character but hasnā€™t really done anything except shag the manchild and Iā€™m getting a bit bored of watching groups of men sit around making sexist jokes.Ā
The other half tells me I should stick with it because it improves but with this type of show if youā€™ve not hooked the audience within an episode or two I donā€™t think you really deserve perseverance. Am I missing something?

  16. Itā€™s the 7 pieces of chopped chives that do it for me. Like the cook started to garnish the plate then thought ā€œahh,Ā whatā€™s the point?ā€

  17. Seems like the Paedo Prince has settled out of court but heā€™s definitely not guilty and has nothing to hide. So we not only prop up this family of inbred racists lavish lifestyle, we bail the dirty buggers out when theyā€™re found out.Ā
Still, best get the bunting out for Lizzyā€™s platinum jubilee and pretend like none of this ever happened.

Yeah, but the Ā£250,000 is simply the punishment handed out by his employer. As I said, we've not seen any further action brought forth by the RSPCA yet. It's at that point I imagine we'll see further action taken, although that could simply be the Ā£5,000 you mentioned.

The issue is, if we change the punishment not only to fit the crime, but to fit the size of the offenders pockets, we'd see a lot of questionable decisions made, and even worse, we'd need to ask who exactly decides what a suitable punishment is for someone who earns Ā£20,000 per year compared to someone who earns Ā£150,000 per year or even more?Ā

It would be opening a can of worms that could cause more problems, as it would then need to be a system applied to every crime. Should someone caught illegally parked who owns a Ferrari receive a higher parking ticket fine than someone who owns a Ford Capri?Ā

Where I begin to really question the motives of some people is when I hear about demands that he be removed from his job, banned from football, and so on. I legitimately wonder if they were asking the same questions when Hazard kicked a ballboy? Or if they were equally up in arms when Joey Barton was welcomed back into football following being jailed for driving his car into a pedestrian in Liverpool City Centre and receiving a four-month suspended term after admitting assault?

I'm sure there's a lot of animal lovers who are really upset by what Zouma did, but I'm fairly certain that the witch hunt against him at the moment is also being driven by other factors.

Fines which are proportional to income are pretty common throughout Europe, day fines I think theyā€™re called, and I can see the logic. Why should someone on benefits pay a Ā£60 parking fine for what could be an oversight when some City knobhead can park where they like because the fine is small change to them? Bit off topic though, sorry.Ā

No doubt thereā€™s other attitudes at play here, and rightly or wrongly, I think Zouma will be hounded for this for the rest of his career.Ā
