  2. Finally home in York just in time for the Extreme Rules kickoff (we did WCC also). But what a weekend it was in Preston. Just a great weekend from top to bottom. The Jarretts are lovely people to talk to, genuinely seem to love talking to the fans. Can't argue with PCW being on fire this year, they just go from strengh  to strengh. June 5th is going to be Cena in Hammerstein levels of hostile for AJ i think.

  3. Bray Wyatt has taken over as the WWE's only face of fear, stealing Undertaker's light show tricks. The Undertaker is seemingly just coming back to slap Wyatt about for being a cheeky bugger. Therefore it makes sense to me that the Taker we should be seeing on Sunday is the American Bad Ass. Just come down in jeans, t-shirt, bike and swagger and knock Bray about the arena for 10 minutes. I'll be in the minority but I'd love it if we got that version of Taker instead as a nice swerve.

Funny you should mention that, was chatting to a mate about that being a great idea just a few days ago. Wyatt's promos have all been about how the deadman is done and has nothing left etc etc. So the ABA turning up rather than the deadman would be completely unexpected by Wyatt. While regular Taker style mind games wouldn't shake him, turning up as the ABA would likely lead to Bray losing his shit. Would make for a great moment. While a lot of folks might argue against it, i dont think it's a bad idea at all. The more human ABA version of Taker is a more realistic option for the hall of fame ceremony also. As i figure he would have a match the night after his induction (next year as it's Texas?), and It just wouldn't work to see the deadman giving an acceptance speech and then going back to being spooky 24hrs later.

  4. Silver Vision had loads of these gifted from WWE as 'awards' for selling lots of particular titles (all VHS I think). They were all round the office. There should only be 1 of each in existence.

The next bit is a guess which Steve might know more about but they probably got sold after going into administration. The seller sounds like a wheeler dealer.

I found the wording odd as it says "'presented by Silver Vision" rather than "presented to". So thought this would a good place to ask about it.

  5. Back from Hammerfest/HRH United.. What a weekend! Stand outs for me had to be October File, Orange Goblin, Raging Speedhorn, Evil Scarecrow, Hardcore Superstar, and Angel Witch. Honorable mention to Hang the Bastard. Ended up having a natter with Orange Goblin after their set. Nice guys. Got the setlist signed by all too, which was a nice bonus.

  6. Raging Speedhorn, Godsized, Xerath, Trepallium and Villainy

    All added to Bloodstock 2015

Speedhorn make me very happy. Saw them at Damnation and they were firing on all cylinders. Just an awesome set. Seeing them at Hammerfest this week also.

  7. Why don't you split half and half. If you watch the first half of Delain in the tent then come out and catch the second half of Trivium will feature the bigger hits towards the end. I imagine it will be easier coming out of the tent rather the other way and trying to get in

Not a bad idea. The other headliners i'm set on, so this is the only clash i'm unsure about lol

  8. His music was dubbed over by some instrumental tune.

If Madoona runs her own twitter, as a lot of celebs don't, she seems to have totally ignored Grado.

Considering TNA knew a long time in advance they would have Grado vs Snow in Glasgow, plus the amount the time between filming ana airing the show, TNA have messed this up big style but at least Grado gets some publicity out of this.

What i don't get is why they didn't just dub it over with this version? As mentioned earlier in the thread, he uses this one a hell of a lot anyway, and i'm sure getting permission to use this would have been fairly simple given it's not a big name.

  9. Foo Fighters have been announced as Friday's Glastonbury headliner. I'm well happy with that as I've not had the chance to see them before.

Yeah, should be great. Better still i'm seeing them at the Stadium of Light this year also. Twice in a year will do me nicely!

  10. Superstar Billy Graham - in total BBFC wanted to take 15 minutes of footage out, and we thought that compromised the title too much so chose not to release it.

The mistake with the steel books is that initially they were sold at £2 more than the standard one, and with little in the way of extras people were tending towards the cheaper standard option or the extra filled Blu-ray. To be honest, releasing 3 versions of a non WrestleMania was too much for the market to handle, especially as collectors were getting fewer and fewer as the years went on. Customer behaviour seemed to change too - there was a time when Z amount of people would buy each and every release without question, but people became choosier as the years went on.

That's pretty true of my buying habits. In the VHS era i was buying every release without fail in release week. The same with DVD for quite some time, then more and more titles were getting released and it just wasn't realistic after a while. So i pretty much just bought the PPVs and select special releases. The steelbooks were a really nice gimmick, they were one of those things that was nice to hold. As down as i was about those being stolen, i was much more upset about the 2 WrestleMania XX limited edition boxsets i had stolen alongside them lol.

  11. There was relatively little we did away from what WWE released themselves, but the steel book PPV releases were an initiative the company took upon themselves. At the time we thought they'd be highly sought after  as collectible pieces, but in reality they cost a lot more to produce and we had returns in the thousands. The  steel book releases also went on far longer than they should have because we were tied into a deal with the production company to produce X number of steel book DVDs. I still have a bunch at home as we wouldn't even sell them all off for peanuts in the end, and places like CEX aren't interested in the few I've taken in. Maybe I'll give them away on here.

They really sold that badly? I had a bunch at the time as i thought they were pretty great. Sadly got stolen along with the rest of my wrestling collection back in 2011. I do miss Silver Vision, things haven't been anywhere near as good under Fremantle.

  12. I always saw early Goldust as a master of mind games. Rather than being homosexual, i always saw it as him using androgyny as a way to mess with his opponents and prevent them focusing on the match. The Razor thing especially. He did the love letter and all that stuff, which caused the very masculine Bad Guy to lose his shit so much he went nuclear and attacked him (the visual of them out in the snow was awesome). Then when the match for Razor's title rolls around at the Rumble, out comes Goldust with Marlena!! It was like changing all the questions when everyone thought they had the answers.

  13. Wwe got royally fucked by metallica when using enter sandman from my memory. It was said by someone in a shoot or podcast. Can't remember who but in 97 ish metalluca who were looking to promote a new album offered to play summerslam for free . Vince didn't know who they were and blew them off.

Forward some time and hey man insists they use enter sandman for ons so metallica ram the price up costing Vince a fuck ton of money.

I'm not sure how true it is as st anger was the summerslam song a few years before (unless that was the requested performance time) but that might have been a record company thing.

The St Anger music video was also on the home video release of that year's SummerSlam. So i can't see there being any bad blood there.
