  1. Knucklehead: Well what can i say other than i can't belive i just sat through all of that, really really poor.. Show just didn't come over very well in and spent a lot of it crying.. The Chaperone was spot on and a flick i know my kids would enjoy, I doubt they'd sit through knucklehead and other than maybe 2-3 moments in the flick, i doubt they'd laugh at it.. I heard show was meant to be decent at the acting lark and expected a lot better from him. Especially as he comes across as a naturally funny guy (his dressing up phase showed he has great comedy timing).. I'd definatly throw this on the list of poor WWE films rather than the good ones..

  2. Just watched The Chaperone and it's not half as bad as it's been made out to be. Sure it's not a classic, but i think it delivers exactly what it set out to deliver. Reminds me a lot of the flicks i used to watch when i was a kiddy and as that's the PG audience WWE are aiming it at, it's spot on i think. I won't watch it again like, but it being trashed as much as it has been seems unfair (there's a hell of a lot worse films wise on TV weekly). Triple H is a lot better in this role than he was in Blade Trinity as far as his acting goes, he's not quite there yet, but he's definatly growing as an actor. With a little bit of improvement in the editing, his performance would have come over a lot better (not that it was bad though, it was above average for this type of flick). The voice of Lisa Simpson was a nice addition to the cast, as was the young las who played his kid. Overall it's not to shabby for what it is.

  3. This week i've had a break from the wrestling habit and caught up on my studies and managed to fit in the following..

    - The A-Team: A lot of my friends didn't like this, but i really enjoyed it. It was just the right mix of humor and REALLY over the top action i was hoping for. If it took itself seriously i doubt i'd have enjoyed it at all, but it really doesnt in the slightest. Lots of fun and worth a watch.

    - RED: The best film i've watched in a while for sure, another decent action/comedy flick, but a world apart from others of the genre. Great showings by Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren (she was awesome). Mary-Louise Parker is a cute bit of fluff and not bad in her roll either (wouldn't have put her at 45 as she was while filming it though). Had me LOLing throughout and not a lot of flicks have that kind of effect on me normally.

    - Battle of Los Angeles: Utter crap made for TV movie (financed by SyFy i believe), not to be confused with the other 2011 flick 'Battle: Los Angeles' which i'm hoping to watch this week. Avoid this one like the plague, it's just low rent sci-fi not done very well.

    - Resident Evil: Degeneration: Fun animated film for fans of the game, i say that as without knowing a fair bit of the background it won't be half as interesting to watch. It's pretty much what you'd expect from a Resident Evil animation, it looks like it should and retains a lot more of the game's character than the live action series does. Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy are 2 of the main characters.

  4. Ok, a couple of random questions im sure someone will be able to help with..

    - Is the Inoki/Saito Island Death Match available in it's entirity?

    - How much footage exists in circulation of Stu Hart wrestling?

  5. John Lister - Turning the Tables: One of my favourite wrestling books and a great read if youre a fan of or want to learn more about the original ECW. sadly my copy was burgled along with my DVD collection.

Dustin Rhodes - Cross Rhodes: An interesting look at what its like to grow up as a second generation star. The book also gives a lot of time to Dustin's substance issues and is extremely open about it in a way you dont often see. My only complaint is the book is too short.

Missy Hyatt - The First Lady of Wrestling: Not a book loved by a lot of folk, but i found it to be a fun read as its as outrageous as youd expect. Not deep and definatly a case of airing her laundry in public..

I just got 5 new wrestling books through the mail, still havent decided what to read first.. Bret's autobiography or Pain and Passion i think..

  6. Shadow Assault/Tenchu on XBox 360.. Its the first time ive loaded it up in about 2 years and i forgot just how good it is. I remember buying it the day it came out on XBLA as a spur of the moment buy and loving it, but like a lot of XBLA games.. once its had a month or 2 of play it ends up in the back of your head and you dont play it forever.. If youve not played it before id recommend it, it's NOT like a conventional Tenchu game.. Its more like Bomberman with ninjas (odd description i know).. Worth a look for sure..

  7. The series ROH did (i forget the name of the series) that had Cornette and Pringle basically just shooting the shit and interviewing each other was awesome.. Theres not one of those i didnt love..

Tammy Sytch's one from a few years back (RF i think) was decent (on her own, not the one with Missy).. She talks about Chris, his death and their relationship over the years, it was during this shoot she talked about her relationship with HBK while she was in WWE.. Its real interesting stuff from the original diva..

The KC guest booker series is awesome from the ones ive seen, then again KC seem to take a little pride in what they do unlike RF and come up with some great concepts.. has anyone seen the Valentine/Santana shoot they did where they recap their feud together? I could use some reviews as it sounds awesome..

  8. Just finished up 'Portal: Still Alive' again ahead of next weeks sequel, must be the 5th time ive completed thr XBLA version, did the 'Orange Box' version a few times too.. Other that that im enjoying some retro goodness with Sonic 2 (just 100%'d all the achievements for Sonic 1) and a little ground and pound with 'UFC Undisputed 2010'..
