  1. Are there many more random moments in WWE history than Diesel, unprovoked, dragging Mad Dog Vachon out of the front row at Good Friends, Better Enemies and then pulling his false leg off to twat HBK with? A tremendously surreal confirmation of a heel turn right there.

Wasn't that a rib on Vachon? I'm sure i heard somewhere that they didnt tell him about it before hand.

  2. But without a 'rise', or point of significant interest to a lot of people, it'd just be a 'how a slightly profitable company which nobody watched became a company that shat money away. And still, nobody watched.' DVD.

I still feel it would be interesting in the sense that they threw everything they could think at it and it didn't work. No matter who they brought in both management and talent wise, it didn't make a difference. It'd be like train wreck viewing, but so was the Ultimate Warrior release. That was basically a doc on a guy who couldn't work, got pushed to the moon and was a cock. So i don't see why Vince and co wouldn't do a TNA release. I could see a WWE produced TNA doc selling out of nothing more than morbid curiosity, especially if they got all the talking heads i think they could. It has to beat some of the DVD ideas they've surveyed lately lol.

  3. Although there is a lot of garbage in the archives, there is still some good stuff with the likes of Angle over the years WWE could put on some of their releases. If nothing more, i think they'd use some of the footage on docs about guys like Sting (who you would assume would do a short term WWE run and HOF for sure if TNA folded, if not before), Angle, Goldust (it was a bad time for Dustin, but it's part of his story and recovery. So i think it's relevant) and Jeff Hardy.

As I said, for anyone important, a TNA stint is just an embarrassing footnote. A Sting DVD should gloss over the years after WCW or stop there anyway. It would make him look worse for including footage of how he spent a decade arsing around in joke leagues. Jeff Hardy or Hulk Hogan, if they did a self-destruction DVD, it could work to show how bad things got. Same with Kurt Angle, but given his perpetual proximity to death, they probably don't want to do a DVD either laughing at his drugs problem or celebrating our Olympic hero being off his tits and doing stupid stunts in slum promotions. Clips of TNA would just serve the same purpose as that stock footage of pills being poured out that they always use for "I was a druggie in them days, aye" parts of documentaries.

While i agree for the most part, there have been many stand out matches over the course of TNA's history alongside the terrible. Angle for sure has had some great matches during his time in TNA, despite his issues. So i feel these would be of some value for comps WWE puts out. They put that XWF match between Hogan and Hennig on a comp, so i don't see why they wouldn't use a good quality match that happened in TNA. While Sting's work hasnt been at the standard of his previous work, it could easily be edited into a video of him being the centre piece of a fledgling promotion for use on a WWE comp, to bridge the gap between his WCW and WWE days.

Hell, a rise and fall style doc on TNA would be great if they could get the right talking heads. Jerry is on great terms with Vince so that's one, and i'm sure a lot of the talent would be willing.

For them to do that documentary, TNA would have to have a rise first, and if that happens, speculation about WWE buying it out is years off.

I did say 'rise and fall style' as TNA obviously have never risen. But they have, for lack of competition, been the #2 promotion for the past 10 years. And i feel a documentry of a similar style telling the story of how they started out and grew to a point they couldn't go beyond no matter how they tried would be interesting. If you get the likes of Russo, Jerry Jarrett, the talent, Brother Love etc involved it would make for interesting viewing. Hogan, Bischoff, Heyman etc would likely get involved too. If for no other purpose, it would show that WWE is an untouchable #1. Vince likes putting out docs about companies that couldn't beat him, so i don't see why this would be any different.

  4. There's little to no benefit to Vince McMahon buying TNA. As a company, it's worthless. As a videotape library, it's an embarrassment in the careers of anyone who matters. Unless they've got a Self-Destruction of Jeff Hardy DVD planned, there's no cause for TNA footage anywhere in a WWE release. I suppose they could buy it as filler for the network, mind.

  5. What's The Rock's 'The Rock Says...' book like? Seen it in a charity shop for 2.25, worth a read at that price?

It's a horrible book to read sadly. Half of it is in gimmick, half of it isnt, so it's more of a chore to read than anything else. If you can put up with the switching into gimmick stuff, there is some interesting content, but it definitely doesnt match up to a lot of the autobiographies out there.

  6. has anybody seen ovw when both Paul Heyman and Jim Cornete were bookers seperatly ?

OVW under Heyman was the best weekly TV show going at the time IMO. Albright feuding with Punk was a highlight for sure. But there wasa lot of great TV around that time. It was just fun to watch. The Cornette era was fun too, but defintiely felt different. A little like Cornette's old SMW promotion if anything.

  7. Currently enjoying Action Arcade Wrestlin 2 on the XBox. A great little arcade style wrestling game from an indie developer. 240 MS points well spent! Even made myself some CAWs! They look a little oddly shaped in the editor, but they look fine in game. I've made a few arenas also.

  8. The Spartacus legends free game in the PlayStation store that was talked about a couple of pages back. Is it available as for life of me I can't find it

I have it on Playstation, but could only find it on the US store. Havent managed to play it yet though as the servers are always down.

Just completed Machinarium last night. Fantastic game and would recomend it to all if you like puzzles and games that make you think. Completed Heavy Rain last week also, which was actually a lot more fun than i imagined. Will play it through again sometime but make different choices to see how it affects the story. It's basically a film you play, for want of a better description. But everything you say or do changes the outcome and the direction of the story.

  9. You can add the Nasty Boys to the WWF/WCW/TNA list as well.

Such a list is much easier than throwing ECW into the mix as well.
On the WWE/WCW/TNA/ECW list you can also add..Scott Hallim fairly certain both of the Steiners made at least appearance In ECW also, So theyd make the list too.
  10. Did they drop the ball with him? I've never seen his stuff outside of TNA, but the few times he was there he was bland and did nothing to warrant them handing him the ball in the first place.

The Haskins i saw this past weekend is a world away from the bland version that was on TNA TV.

  11. After attending all 3 of the Dragon Gate shows this weekend i'm left thinking just how much TNA dropped the ball with Mark Haskins. If they can't make a star out of Haskins, i don't hold out much hope for Spud. During his TNA run i wasn't really familiar with much of his work, but after seeing him this weekend i'm a fan. The guy has charisma and can go in the ring. Not to mention the fact he comes across as a class act when you meet him.

  12. They sell pirate downloads?

It's already been posted to watch for free anyway.

No. This was a one off based on the fact the show wasn't available and is labeled to reflect it's source. It was recorded directly from the legit live PPV stream rather than a version someone may have uploaded. The downloads they sell are all ISO format and are just digital copies of the actual discs they sell ,much like IVP has been doing for a while now. Only mentioned it as someone asked, not my business so i don't mind if he makes a sale or not lol
