  1. Wasn't he billed as the Dingo Warrior on those cards? I remember him actually bringing back the "Dingo" name when WWF stuck a cease and desist on him before his 1996 return.

If i remember rightly he was billed as The Warrior, with Herc billed as Hercules Hernandez. Jake Roberts was on the show also, amongst other names.

  2. Just bought Stick of Truth after reading all the praise on here. Between that and the shedload of games i bought in the 99c sale on the US PSN store this week, i should be set until EA's UFC game or The Witness come out.

  3. Warrior was one of a kind for sure. And he'll always be kind of special to me due to him being such a big name in 1991 when i got into wrestling, and featuring so heavily on all the tapes i collected as a kid. He was also a world apart from other stars in terms of his aura, the only 2 i ever though came close to being as 'big league' as him when i was a kid were Hogan and Savage. I was lucky enough to see Warrior facing Hercules in the main event of my first ever live show in Berlin, Germany in 93 or 94. He came out to Black Betty by Ram Jam.

  4. I'd go mainly for Babymetal to be honest, there are a few other bands (and Gary Numan) I like but they're spread too thinly around the three days. I'll wait and see if they do a normal gig or two.

Numan is at Alt-Fest, day tickets are now on sale.

  5. No Mercy 2007.

Triple H defeated Randy Orton for the WWE Championship.

Triple H defeated Umaga to retain the WWE Championship.

Randy Orton defeated Triple H for the WWE Championship in a last man standing match.

Could this be the only time a guy has had 3 title matches in a night?

On the May 8th 2000 Raw, Chris Jericho defended the Intercontinental title three times. He defeated Kurt Angle by submission and Big Show by count-out, then finally lost the title back to Chris Benoit when self-appointed special ref Triple H fucked him over.

Must have missed that one, will check it out.

  6. I know its not my internet connection as i have fibre optic broadband. So my issues definitely fall with the PS3 app itself. Iwatch stuff live on the network all the time, including the HOF ceremony and pre show for that on Saturday. Plus some of those WrestleMania Today shows and then obviously the entire Mania preshow itself. All of those were problem free, it was only once the PPV started, and i assume the service got severely hammered, that i started having the freezing and console crashing issues. And come 4am, once i assume the network service stopped getting hammered, it all started working fine again.

  7. I couldnt believe have good the live stream was through Safari on my Mac. Hd it linked through HDMI to the big screen in the living room and it was just like watching it on Sky Box Office. No buffering, stuttering or dropping out. Perfect! Cristal Clear HD too.

I had the sky remote on standby to order through box office as i wasnt holding my breath for it to work once the main show kicked off...

I tried running it through the laptop (HDMI to TV) after the issues with the PS3 app crashing my console repeatedly. The only problem was the 'play from begining' option on the site did nothing, and it just launched the stream live. And there was no way to rewind, so i had the option of waiting until it finished and then watching it, or missing the first 30 mins. Not a good night experience wise, not at all. Was worth staying up until 8am to see it all spoiler free though and i can't fault the Network 4am onward. Hardly the point though.

  8. Who's wrestled for the longest on a PPV then? I remember Benoit wrestled 3 times in one evening on PPV, that must have tallied up.

Hhh did 3 matches in that ppv when he faced orton and umaga and someone else for wwe title didnt he?

Btw did benoit ever face daniel bryan anywhere?

  9. The pre-show was playing fine for a while via the PS3 last night, then it started to struggle. quality drop, occasional freezing, pixel artifacts. So i started watchign it again, but not live. Instead watching it on a 2 min delay. Played perfectly from that point on, until the main show started. So tried the same with that. But it would play for a few minutes and then crash the PS3. Just freezing up the whole thing, so i had to hard reset the console. After this happened 5x and the show had been on 30 mins, i decided to fuck it off and watch it at 4am once the PPV finished up and the demand on the network had passed. A pain, but i got to watch the whole show play perfectly withouyt any fault at all. I'm not sure how bad the issues were for all PS3 users, but i think it's safe to say the network struggled with the demand. Luckily i didnt have to be anywhere today, so an 8am finish worked ok. I just logged out of all social media to avoid any spoilers and hit Netflix until 4am lol.

  10. Currently big into The Blacklist. Has been a fantastic show since it started in September and heading towards the season 1 finale. Recently finished up watching season 1 of Bates Motel. Great concept and much better than expected. And will be starting Hannibal season 2 this week! Some great shows around right now.

was put off The Blacklist from the trailer, i love Spader but the hot, young, intelligent CIA lady is such a cliche...i may get on it one day for the Spader factor.

Give it a go for sure, Spader is fantastic in it. Definitely the top show in our house since it started in September. Good ol' Hulu!

  12. So, the 'rock' day of the British Summer Time festival at Hyde Park isn't bad is it?

Black Sabbath, Soundgarden and Faith No More! Plus Soulfly, Motorhead and a few others.

Looks great, but clashes with Sonisphere.. Bad booking. If it had been on a date that didn't clash, we'd have attended.

  13. Saint Vitus have been confirmed for Damnation 2014 and will be performing the 'Born Too Late' album

Really hoping they add some dates around the date in Leeds as we can't make Damnation. Saw Vitus last year at HammerFest and they were epic, left with the setlist too. Good times!

  14. I'm giving Alt-Fest a go. I like going to festivals i've never been to, and the line-up looks good.

Probably the only festival i'll do this year, looking forward to it.

Should be a great weekend for sure. Will be a long week with Bloodstock the weekend before, but will be well worth it. At least i get to head home between the 2 festivals briefly, while i don't between Glastonbury and Sonisphere. That week and a half might finish me off lol.

  15. Me and the Mrs have had tickets for this since last August, but as the lineup is looking fantastic. I figured i'd post this in here. Also, you can sign up to the Alt-Fest e-team and maybe win free tickets or some free stuff by posting a few Facebook and Twitter statuses. Worth a punt if you fancy going but can't afford it. This event takes place a week after Bloodstock.

  16. Sonisphere is looking great this year, and with their setup meaning there'll be no clashes at all between the 2 main stages, it's not too shabby at all. The week after Glastonbury too, so a long fortnight for us lol.

  17. MRI scan has revealed Lionheart has a broken neck. We are looking at the best of a bad situation. He does not need surgery and he is sitting upright without a neck brace on. No nerve damage can be seen and hopefully just a clean break. As we said before he has good movement in his arms and legs.

Lionheart himself wanted me to tell you all about his neck and he said "tell them I got a broken neck cause it makes me look like a hard bastard".
