  1. anyone seen/heard thew new Limp Bizkit video. Band have mentioned that they wanna go back towards a rawer, unpolished kind of sound that would work as a sequel to their Unquestionable Truth record (which is criminally underrated) and i think it sounds f'n great, Limp Bizkit have fallen into that kind of category where they are a listed a guilty pleasure for many people, but regardless the new tune is quality.

I'll give this a listen later. I don't think i've ever listened to Unquestionable Truth but i thought Gold Cobra was a really good album.

  2. Just finished watching Pride Grand Prix 2003. The last 2 fights are great.

Cro Cop kinda destroys Nogueira in the first round and then the ending is just so awesome. I had no idea who wins any of the fights before watching and totally wasn't expecting it.

And then the final was kinda brutal. Ref probably should of stopped it earlier, Rampage ate alot of hard knees and the kicks when he was on the ground were horrible looking. Kinda glad that's not in UFC.

  3. He's 29. Has he really lost weight? Going by the PWG dvds i watch he keeps putting it on!He usually does commentary on 2 matches in PWG events and him and the other commentator Excalibur, obviously get on well and just have lots of fun. Steen comes across well.

  4. I've been watching some of the dvds I got. The first disc of ufc best of 2011 is a bit annoying as it's mainly highlights and not full matches. Plus some 'highlights' are 20 seconds of literally nothing happening lolI'm enjoying the first Pride one so far. But the situation when two guys on the ground grappling and end up in the ropes, so the ref moves them to the middle of the ring in the same position. It looks so weird and just kinda awkward. I understand why it's done but it's definetly a downfall of using a ring.

  5. After watching Money in the Bank 2011 today. Why didn't Vince just cancel the Cena/Punk match if he didn't want Punk to leave with the belt?

I expect this was explained in the build-up but i just kinda keep up to date with WWE results and watch occasional matches.

Also my Cena hating friend claimed to me that during Punks year long + title reign he only main evented 1 or 2 PPV's cos Cena always did. Is this anywhere near to the truth?

Do you mean in the storylines or in terms of the backstage issues? Storyline wise Vince did want to but Cena threatend to leave to and even made a "brother" comment to make an inside joke about jumping to TNA, which of course scared vince into the match happening.

If you mean backstage issues, then Punk would have happily done the job if he was leaving and asked to

Yeah i meant storyline wise. Thanks, i thought it might be something along those lines.

  7. Clearvision have lots of cheap ufc and pride dvds atm. Including buy 2 get 1 free.

So what are the best events to get? I only own UFC's yearly best of's and I generally just keep up to date with results and watch occasional fights on youtube.

So any help would be appreciated.

  8. Didn't Foley push hard for him and Punk after his stint in ROH and they considering using Joe for the Umaga gimmick?

I don't think he was ever considered for the Umaga role but in the Punk/Joe shoot interview they talk about the idea Foley put forward to Vince for bringing them in. Iirc it didn't go any further than that though.

  9. They were shite, but they were only young. If they slowed down, learned some psychology, hit the gym, bought some boots with lifts, and got a tan... they'd be ok.

I thought in-ring wise they were fine in TNA. Although i know im in the minority. IIRC they even had an entertaining last match vs Eric Young and Shark Boy!

Maybe they just don't really work in TNA cos in PWG they have been amazing for 3 years or so now.

  10. Spartacus started pretty badly with over the top cgi blood unneccesary nudity and cringe worthy juvenille dialouge. However it improved greatly around the fourth episode of the first season and hasn't stopped improving since. Spartacus:Vengeance was the most exciting hour of the week for me and took the show into the "must watch" territory for me, the trailers for the next and sadly final season lool completely epic and it should go out on a high.

While GOT is better acted and produced Spartacus has far more action and is more exciting in a week to week basis.

I might give Spartacus another go then, cos after catching the 1st 2 or 3 episodes on tv, i wasn't massively impressed.

I bought the 1st season of Game of Thrones yesterday, so i look forward to starting it, without knowing much about it.

And for whoever asked about American Horror Story, i really liked the first season and after only seeing 2 episodes of the 2nd season (which is completely unrelated to the 1st) i think its gonna be alot better if it continues as its started.

  11. Anyone heard of a band called The Rotted?

Got their album on now, quite enjoying. Reminds me a bit of Satyricon mixed with Discharge.

I've seen them live a couple of times, pretty good. They were called Gorerotted for a long time before, if that name rings any bells.

  12. When's the pure love album out?

I was never a big Gallows fan but ive always had an interest in what Carter has to say.

I didn't like Gallows at all but saw Pure Love support Lostprophets on Friday and they were great. Here's a really good frontman, spent most the set in the middle of the crowd singing. Albums not out til February though.
