  1. I know there's a PWG thread somewhere but i thought i'd post this here. The line-up for this years BOLA (Battle of Los Angeles) tournament is shaping up nicely:

    1. Matt Sydal

    2. Drew Gulak

    3. Trevor Lee

    4. Chris Sabin

    5. Johnny Gargano

    6. Brian Myers (Curt Hawkins)

    7. Michael Elgin

    8. Biff Busick

    9. Kyle O'Reilly

    10. Brian Cage

    11. ACH

    12. Zack Sabre Jr

    13. Rich Swann

    14. Trent?

    15. Cedric Alexander

    16. AJ Styles

  2. That's what I've heard, too. Jamie Noble was buzzing about him. The excuse given for not signing him was the old AJ Styles excuse. That they've "already got people like him in developmental". Ricochet's arguably got more upside than Adrian Neville does. Better looking and isn't a Geordie.

Would alot of these guys (Cole, Ricochet, Elgin, Brian Cage....just the better indy guys) turn down TNA? I know guys wrestling regularly in Japan probably would but have TNA just not bothered? I know they turned Cage down, but there's guys on NXT and on main TV in WWE, that TNA could of offered contracts to sometimes years before they got there.

  3. I think Elgin's winning based on WWE and New Japan both telling Elgin they have no interest in him. He's gutted currently. I imagine they will be seeking some kind of moral booster for him by giving him the belt.

Any idea why neither are interested. I know he hasn't quite got the 'look' for WWE at least but i still think something could be done with him.

  4. For anyone that's interested the Calzaghe vs Kessler dvd is in Poundland atm. It's seems Poundland is pretty random as to what stores have what dvds but worth a look if you don't own it.

  5. One of the news sites reported that Sheamus had a fight with someone like Yoshi Tatsu before either of them were called up to the main roster, and Tatsu thoroughly destroyed him.

How true these things are we never know until someone discusses it, preferably someone at either side of a few punches.

That wouldn't be surprising - Tatsu's background is in boxing and ju-jutsu. Plus, he's a product of the dojo system.

I'm sure i read somewhere or heard in a shoot interview that Sheamus threw a tin or can of something at Tatsu, who then caught it one handed ninja style and beat that crap out of Sheamus. It sounds so unrealistic that i'm now thinking someone on here just wrote it.

  6. Im currently halfway through Bus 174:

Documentary depicts what happened in Rio de Janeiro on June 12th 2000, when bus 174 was taken by an armed young man, threatening to shoot all the passengers. Transmitted live on all Brazilian TV networks, this shocking and tragic-ending event became one of violence's most shocking portraits, and one of the scariest examples of police incompetence and abuse in recent years.

Very interesting and really good so far.

  7. Has anyone ever hit the Phoenix Splash in WWE? I've had a quick look on youtube and seen Jeff hardy as a jobber miss it and Seth Rollins miss it in NXT.

It would be a very cool occasional finisher for Seth Rollins or Adrian Neville (who hits an awesome one off the second turnbuckle).

  8. There was actually a big hullabaloo about the release being moved forward wasn't there? Im sure a cinema chain even tried to boycott its release. I remember it being discussed on the radio and everything. It led into the 'dual release on cinema and DVD' argument that has raised its head a few times.

It was Cineworld and maybe another to. I worked at a Cineworld at the time. They did announce they were boycotting its release but in the end came to some deal with Disney.

  9. Drake Younger has signed for WWE.

All Pro Wrestling is elated to announce that former APW World-Wide Internet Champion and current #1 Contender for the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship, Drake Younger was offered and has officially signed a contract with WWE.
