I'll write about it more after i've watched this weeks Impact but i can't be the only person that enjoys Impact each week? I'm not saying it's the greatest show ever but there's plenty of good things and some good wrestlers and i just happily watch it every week.

That's what I've heard, too. Jamie Noble was buzzing about him. The excuse given for not signing him was the old AJ Styles excuse. That they've "already got people like him in developmental". Ricochet's arguably got more upside than Adrian Neville does. Better looking and isn't a Geordie.
Â
Would alot of these guys (Cole, Ricochet, Elgin, Brian Cage....just the better indy guys) turn down TNA? I know guys wrestling regularly in Japan probably would but have TNA just not bothered? I know they turned Cage down, but there's guys on NXT and on main TV in WWE, that TNA could of offered contracts to sometimes years before they got there.

I think Elgin's winning based on WWE and New Japan both telling Elgin they have no interest in him. He's gutted currently. I imagine they will be seeking some kind of moral booster for him by giving him the belt.
Â
Any idea why neither are interested. I know he hasn't quite got the 'look' for WWE at least but i still think something could be done with him.

For anyone that's interested the Calzaghe vs Kessler dvd is in Poundland atm. It's seems Poundland is pretty random as to what stores have what dvds but worth a look if you don't own it.

So Buff Bagwell decided to attempt a Canadian Destroyer this weekend:
Â
Â
Pretty impressive.
Â
And his fucking shitarse opponent kicks out of it. Dickhead.
Â
Surely it's not the opponents fault? I assume they had a planned finish and that wasn't it.

One of the news sites reported that Sheamus had a fight with someone like Yoshi Tatsu before either of them were called up to the main roster, and Tatsu thoroughly destroyed him.
Â
How true these things are we never know until someone discusses it, preferably someone at either side of a few punches.
Â
That wouldn't be surprising - Tatsu's background is in boxing and ju-jutsu. Plus, he's a product of the dojo system.
Â
I'm sure i read somewhere or heard in a shoot interview that Sheamus threw a tin or can of something at Tatsu, who then caught it one handed ninja style and beat that crap out of Sheamus. It sounds so unrealistic that i'm now thinking someone on here just wrote it.

Im currently halfway through Bus 174:
Â
Documentary depicts what happened in Rio de Janeiro on June 12th 2000, when bus 174 was taken by an armed young man, threatening to shoot all the passengers. Transmitted live on all Brazilian TV networks, this shocking and tragic-ending event became one of violence's most shocking portraits, and one of the scariest examples of police incompetence and abuse in recent years.Â
Very interesting and really good so far.

So, the 'rock' day of the British Summer Time festival at Hyde Park isn't bad is it?
Â
Black Sabbath, Soundgarden and Faith No More! Plus Soulfly, Motorhead and a few others.

Has anyone ever hit the Phoenix Splash in WWE? I've had a quick look on youtube and seen Jeff hardy as a jobber miss it and Seth Rollins miss it in NXT.
Â
It would be a very cool occasional finisher for Seth Rollins or Adrian Neville (who hits an awesome one off the second turnbuckle).

There was actually a big hullabaloo about the release being moved forward wasn't there? Im sure a cinema chain even tried to boycott its release. I remember it being discussed on the radio and everything. It led into the 'dual release on cinema and DVD' argument that has raised its head a few times.
Â
It was Cineworld and maybe another to. I worked at a Cineworld at the time. They did announce they were boycotting its release but in the end came to some deal with Disney.

I'm giving Alt-Fest a go. I like going to festivals i've never been to, and the line-up looks good.
Â
Probably the only festival i'll do this year, looking forward to it.

To be fair, i thought at Lockdown it was pretty obvious Tenay and Tazz were making out they knew who Willow was. Tazz's line about the tattoo's looking familiar was the moment it was clear they weren't trying to pretend it wasn't Jeff Hardy.

I just noticed on Twitter that wcw was trending. I thought maybe the WWE Network was the reason for this but looked it up. Apparently it stands for Women Crush Wednesday. Where people just post pictures of women they like.

Cool 10 minute interview with Sami Zayn that hopefully hasn't been posted before. First time i've heard him talk outside of promos. He talks about the performance center, Daniel Bryan and Seth Rogan. He just comes across unsurprisingly, as a super nice guy.

Has anyone read The Last Wrestlers: A Far Flung Journey In Search of a Manly Art ?
Â
I saw it in Poundland earlier. I guess it shows how cheap i am that i didn't just buy it!
-
Â
That looks all kinds of amazing!
-
I'd say they did 'make it'. They were never going to get any bigger than they got.
Â
I could be wrong but i think they were the first UK metal band to get in the Top 40 since Maiden (with The Gush).
-
Will definitely be checking out the Lamb of God documentary.
Â
In other news, Raging Speedhorn are back! For Damnation Festival click here!

The Breakfast Club is my favourite movie of all time. I love it and have watched it so many times. It does have alot of scenes that shouldn't work or wouldn't in other similar films but it all seems to just fit. The dance montage being the prime example.

From the Observer:While it

Samuel Shaw is awesome, if they get the gimmick right it could be one of the best they've done in years.
Â
The gimmick has been done really well so far. Made him so much more interesting.
Â
I enjoyed the show overall. I'm glad it was MVP in the end, even if it was obvious. He is maybe a little overused atm but i thought Spud was great in the Wolves segment.

So Chas and Dave are at Sonisphere lol

Along with Limp Bizkit, Anthrax, Devin Townsend Project, Carnifex, Dropkick Murphys, The Sisters Of Mercy, Silverstein, The Virginmarys, Voodoo Six
