Kate Beckinsale sacked them off and they got someone else in, then she returned, so they probably just ignore those ones.

I shouldn't know this but I think she ony 'missed' the third one but was kinda of in it anyway with flashbacks.  She was back for 4 & 5. The Underworld films are alright if you know exactly what you're getting. Pretty watchable.

I've got a PS2 so can play all these games anyway, but I really want this. I wanted the SNES mini but I have a Pi so I wasn't too concerned but I'll grab one in a few years when they're dirt cheap and inhabiting every GAME bargain bin.

But PS1 games are quite difficult (still) to emulate and some of the games fetch mighty high prices on eBay and the like, so I'll be grabbing one of these on release. Same goes for any other post-SNES console; Saturn, Dreamcast, N64, the lot.

Same goes for me with all these. Anything post SNES and I'm going to be interested.

Really depends on the games here. I doubt Bishi Bashi Special is gonna make the cut. But if there's a Tekken, Wipeout,  Ridge Racer/Gran Turismo/some sports games. I'm assuming no Capcom games will be included??

  3. I've recently been having Kerrang radio on in the background at home and heard Iron Maiden - Wrathchild which I only knew before cos of the Sikth cover. Anyway Maiden are a band I've never really liked the 'hits' by, do they have lots of songs similar to Wrathchild in style??? I quite liked it.

Also, Kerrang has about 5 bad songs for every good one so can anyone recommend a better rock/metal radio station. Can be an online one. Preferably with a mix of new and old songs.

  4. I think I'm a bit behind with this news but Pitchshifter are touring in November. I'm not a huge fan of theirs but earthtone9 are supporting! I absolutely love them and they should have been way more popular than they ever were.

  5. If there's anyone in the South of England, I recently went to Game Over in Portsmouth.  It's basically a retro gaming cafe (no internet), with a lot of retro games all the way up to Xbox 360.  First time I'd been to anything like this and I loved it.  It was chilled, staff were helpful, busy but not too much and the choice of consoles and games is massive.  £5 for two hours was reasonable I thought.  They also do nights where you can bring your own beer and order takeaway in.  I'll be going again soon.

Metallica aren't rumoured for the 3rd, the smart money is on Guns & Roses. Yes, most people go for the headliners, that's why festivals put the majority of promotion behind the top acts.

Maybe it's just the majority of my friends wanting Metallica then. It's always been about the whole line-up for me and I'm sure some festivals would sell well even without announcing headliners

  7. It seems Avenged Sevenfold are second headliner at Download. With Metallica rumoured for the third. Do people still go festivals just for the headliners?

Those three do nothing for me (I don't mind Ozzy but seen him before) but I'd never decide if I was going based on that.

  8. I got a Switch a few weeks ago, just with Mario Kart and FIFA pre-ordered and I'm happy with that until Mario Odyssey at Christmas. If you go through every Grand Prix on Mario Kart it's a good chunk of time and that's not including multi-player and online play.

If you don't mind waiting, good deals do come around. I saved about £100 with mine. I haven't played any demos or other games yet but there's meant to be a lot of good downloadable games on it to.

I bought Get Out at the weekend and watched it last night. It's even better on second viewing. Everything seems to be hinting at where the story is going, the characters dialogue, the acting (the dinner party scene especially!), even posters on the wall in the bedroom. The first line in the film after the prologue is "stay woke"! It's clear a lot of thought has gone into the script and the direction - please go and watch it if you haven't already.

The blu ray had an alternate ending which was -

Chris continues to choke Rose until she dies. The police car turns up, but its not his mate, its two white cops who arrest him and take him away. It then cuts to a scene with Chris in prison being visited by his mate who is trying to get names and details from Chris to clear his name. Chris looks tired and downbeat, says to his friend "I can't remember.... at least I stopped them" and is then carted back off to his cell

I haven't listened to it yet but apparently the commentary with the director is great. He also did the movie crypt podcast recently which is well worth a listen.

I'm glad they didn't go with that alternate ending. Much prefer the one they went with.

  10. I could be wrong but from memory, AJ Styles and Kevin Owens didn't wrestle each other much on the indies at all. Owens became a more popular and more booked wrestler when Styles was in TNA. I don't think they crossed paths much in ROH. They wrestled in PWG a couple of times but it was a long time ago. Maybe on some smaller independent shows.

  11. Like Steve Justice I'm having issues with Playstation games at the moment.  N64 games are really easy to set-up but I have had issues with certain games (Wetrix picture doesn't fit right on the screen, Yoshi's Story shows a blank screen except for Yoshi) but these might be the ROM's I've downloaded. Plenty of other games work perfectly.  As well as Wii64, there's Not64 which I've found better for linking to different controllers.

  12.

Ben Chaplin was far better a Matthew than Neil Stuke though. It just adds an extra dimension when this mentally ill orphaned arsehole has good looks to go with his financial comfort. Kind of a "He has it all, but has nothing" thing.

THANK YOU, everyone normally goes with Neil Stuke as the best Matthew. Chaplin's Matthew just dripped in coolness and machismo. I think it's aged well, although some of the racial-themed jokes wouldn't make it onto sitcoms these days in the same context. The best insults came from Game On when I was at school. Girly shirt-lifting tosspiece.

The first episode of Mad Dogs is worth watching alone for Ben Chaplin practically bringing Matthew back to life for an hour.

I'll agree with all that.  Me and my brother used 'girl shirt-lifting tosspiece way too much when we were kids.  I remember reading an interview with Simon Pegg about Spaced being a reaction to shows like Game On that were written by older people but i love Game On.  I still watch anything Ben Chaplin is in just because of the show.

  13. Few boys i know are going to Hellfest and are trying to convince me to go. The appeal really is to just goto a European Festival but im reluctant to fork out the cash as well as going to Bloodstock.

    Anyone been? Hows the experience?

I haven't been to Hellfest but European festivals definitely have a different atmosphere.  I've been Brutal Assault, Metal Camp and Sziget, aswell as a few very small ones.  And loved all of them.

  14. Does anyone else listen to the Movie Crypt podcast?

It's Adam green (director of Hatchet, Frozen) and Joe Lynch (director of Knights of Badassdom, Wrong Turn 2) with a different guest each week.  They just talk about mainly horror films.  But they talk alot about the making of movies and behind the scenes stuff.  If you're a budding film maker or just interested in that kind of stuff it's really great.  They also do a bit each show where they pick a tweet and have five minutes to come up with a movie based on it.

  15. After recently watching the PWG event 11 and seeing Chris Hero vs Kyle O'Reily, i actually think Hero's weight gain could be worked as a positive.  With his beard, he just looks like a big tough guy who like to hurt people.  A change of gimmick and ring attire would help.  His ring style is hard-hitting and would only need a slight tweak.  On the indies, a gimmick change would be hard i guess, if he was still on NXT a 'mans man' Regal type gimmick or a lumberjack gimmick might work.

  16. I'm liking the new Slipknot song.  Official single out in a few weeks to.

I see they're keeping quiet on who the drummer is for some reason.  There were some rumours that playing on that track at least, is the Lamb of God drummer.

  17. Continuing with PWG's BOLA tournament this year. The line-up is now (in spoiler tag cos it's a big list):
