I'm going to the Southampton gig on Sunday.
Â
I've seen both bands before but i think i'm more excited about seeing Decapitated. Plus i might miss some of Lamb of God cos the last ferry back to the Island is at 2250!

I don't care what the Observer statement says, Davey Richards is shite. I've seen more than enough of his matches to know for sure. They've already got a short guy who goes loads of kicks and dives and he's also one of the best wrestlers in the whole world who is over and sells loads of t-shirts. What the fuck do they need Davey Richards for? NXT is full of better workers than Richards...Bo Dallas for example. He doesn't do all the flips and head drops Davey Richards does but he has a character, knows how to play it and people will pay money to see him get his head kicked in.
Â
I'm not really defending Davey Richards here, i think he's alright but nothing else. But who's to say given the right character, Davey Richards couldn't do the same? Even if he rarely shows it he does have charisma (as seen on commentary for PWG events).
Â
I don't think WWE have missed the boat with Richards but i'd like to have seen what he could of done on NXT at least. If he goes TNA i don't think he would change his routine at all.
Â
Edit: Also everyone seems to have forget about Eddie Edwards. Who is actually not that small, 6ft, so i don't see that being the reason they weren't signed.

Joey Jordison leaving Slipknot seems to be a bit strange Says he did not quit

I totally get why a Spud is on TV, and actually think he's pretty good in the role. But why the fuck did they put him in it as "Rockstar Spud"? His current gimmick couldn't be any less of a rock star. Does the name really have that much goodwill attached to it?
Â
I guess the explaination would be that he still thinks he's a rockstar. He even busted out a song when searching for AJ Styles in a bar. The commentators seemed to be just caling him Spud though, so maybe i'm giving TNA too much credit.
-
I hope i'm wrong but doesn't IANdrewDiceClays's post above have a spoiler for UK pace TNA viewers like myself?
-
I overheard two kids in a newsagents yesterday, probably aged 11/12, and they were chatting about who would win the Royal Rumble. Both were confident Ryback was going to win! So not all WWE fans have lost hope in him!

SikTh are back together?
Â
Here's an interview with the guitarist clicky
Â
In short, it's just a one-off for now, but there will be new music from Sikth in the future.

Brian Cage's move or 'spot' when he catches his opponent straight into a suplex position is so awesome.
Â
For those who haven't seen it (probably most) it's hard to describe. His opponent is on the top rope and jumps towards him, and he catches them in a vertical suplex position, without their feet touching the floor and then hits a suplex or more recently a jackhammer. I can't find it on youtube unfortunately.

What did everyone think of Paul Burchill's run in WWE? I thought the Pirate gimmick was decent for what it was and whoever came up with the incest idea with Katie Lea(Probably Vince) was exceptionally stupid.
Â
Katie Lea came up with it (I think)
Â
I listened to the Katie Lea podcast with Colt Cabana recently and i think you're right. Although she said the original ideas for the storyline were very different to how it panned out on TV.

Funny little video from Impact365 thing about a returning wrestler for the Turning Point Impact show.

Wasn't sure where to post this but for anyone that's watched a film in Imax 3D, how good is it? Compared to say just general 3D at the cinema.
Â
I want to go and see Gravity but the nearest Imax is in Southampton, so ticket price plus ferry cost is gonna be at least

Unsurprising but a bit of a shame. Hero as a goofy dick heel is a thing of beauty. He's not great at anything else though really. He's a big goof and he doesn't really offer anything unique that WWE couldn't get from someone else on the roster. No idea what he'll do with himself now, can't see him being happy with going back to PWG, ROH etc.
Â
I know i'm in the minority on here but i like Hero, mainly due to his PWG performances. I'd like to see him in TNA.
Â
He has already been announced though for PWG's All Star Weekend.

Would it work if a big wrestling company did TV shows like the major ones in America atm? As in having 'seasons', maybe 3 months on TV plus 3 pay-per-views, and then say 2 months off TV where they tour and do house shows.
Â
There's probably a million reasons this couldn't happen but just came into my head after watching some Breaking Bad
-
I haven't started season three yet but almost certainly not.
Â
There's no connection between season one or two, character or storyline wise.
-
Yeah, he's got a hell of a look. Is he any good?
Â
His style is quite 'indy' if that makes sense, but a few months in WWE's training facility and i reckon he'd be great.
Â
He's always been in great shape but got even bigger lately due to competing in some bodybuilding competitions. And it has made him a bit less agile in the ring. He has been known to hit a pretty great looking springboard moonsault. He wrestled on TNA's Gutcheck vs Jay Bradley.
-
I thought maybe Brian Cage (the guy with Steiner) only looked quite as big as he does because he fights alot of smaller guys on the indies but the photo suggests otherwise.

Question is doing my head in. What film features a zombie fighting with a doped up shark (under the sea, obviously)? I'm sure it was one of those sleazy Italian horrors. Thanks a lot!
Zombie Flesh eaters i think. Pretty good film.
-
I'm probably forgetting some people but what's the card gonna look like? This is what i can think of as possibilities after the recent TV:
Â
AJ Styles vs Bully Ray
Â
Magnus vs Bobby Roode (No.1 Contender?)
Â
Kaz and Daniels vs Joe and Sting
Â
Jeff Hardy vs Sabin vs Manik
Â
Chavo/Hernandez vs Brisco/Bischoff vs Gunner/Storm
Â
I guess Aries is the most notable miss here, plus a Knockouts match. And with my second edit i've remembered Kurt Angle. I'd just have him and Aries wrestle. Find a reason and the match will be great whatever.

New gimmick for Rob terry?
-
If, for some reason, anyone needed an incentive to go see Lamb of God on tour early next year. Then, Decapitated have just been announced as support!
-
I met Sabu yesterday at Cardiff Comic Con. There was no queue at all towards the end of the day so i decided to get his autograph.
He was really quiet, to the point that i was leaning in to hear what he said and i still struggled to hear him. He also came across very humble and polite. I had no idea what to expect because i hadn't seen a shoot interview of his or anything outside of character based stuff.

So, basically this dragon-like sea creature has been washed up on one of our beaches here. The authorities have no clue what it is, as it's too badly decomposed to identify it at the moment.
Â
Â
Â
Hopefully further testing will reveal all.
Â
So apparently it's a shark: NBCnews link
Â
Reading the article got me looking up giant oarfish though and other weird creatures.

There's plenty of great indy guys out there. If they can choose the right ones AND keep the bigger names they have in, Angle, Hardy, Sting, etc things could be good. But i'm not too hopeful.
