A decent one would be Red Bull Arena in New Jersey, but obviously only Summerslam would be feasible there. I watched the USA game the night before and it looked really impressive to be fair.

Have never watched a full Bret shoot before, but him doing a 1992 one sounds great.
Â
That sounds tremendous. 1992 is one of my favourite ever years (Many in Britain will probably say the same).

Thing is, they would have to do this sort of a thing if they actually acknowledged that their "contractors" were in fact employees. This way it's at their discretion and can be withdrawn, a bit like their medical care.
Â
Plus they'd have to pay decades of back taxes, fines and likely a few civil lawsuits from wrestlers and/or their families as well.
Â
Doesn't this weaken the argument that the wrestlers were contractors rather than employees?Â
I'm amazed that the big wrestling companies are still getting away with this to be honest.
Â
Why? The wrestlers that it would benefit don't have a pot to piss in and the one's that have the cash to challenge it don't give a fuck. The U.S Government don't seem particularly arsed about it either, judging by the results of their Post-Benoit investigation.
Â
Because they're blatantly employees that's why. There's a reason why John Cena can't turn up on Impact on his (rare) days off.

Some good backstage photos taken by The Kat around 99/00 on Jerry Lawler's site, this creepy pic of Pat Patterson is one of them.
Â
Creepier than this?

Didn't they tape a show in London during this tour where Andre hobbled down to ringside with the aid of a crutch. If so I can't imagine he worked a match, or even climbed into the ring at a house show.
Â
I think you're right. Wasn't it after Earthquake supposedly injured his knee with Jimmy Hart's megaphone?
-
Probably a long-shot, but does anyone know if this match in April 1991 actually happened? I've seen Andre the Giant matches from
, but I'd always been under the impression his last match with the WWF was at Wrestlemania 6.Â
According to this, Andr

I laughed!

Its crazy to think that such a huge venue has no value. Mind you, Pontiac in Michigan doesn't sound like a metropolis either.
-
I find that picture of the Silverdome incredibly sad even though I've never been there. The venue of the WWF's zenith really.

A young Iron Sheikh. Russia number 1, Iran number 1, USA haaaack ptooey!
-
The most annoying thing in that clip is the announcer swearing. Is it really necessary? I have nothing against swearing in real life or appropriate forms of entertainment, but in Wrestling it sounds so amateurish.
-
Also, I'm almost sure that Dixie stopped watching wrestling in the late 80's and judging from that logo, that's from 1996-97.
-
Even if that was Foley's original intention, you'd think two days was ample time to realise a) it isn't funny b) its embarassing and c) it makes his star fade even more.
-
Seeing as they are less dependant on PPV buys these days, due to the WWE Network, I imagine its a stronger possibility now than say this time last year.
Â
* I should add an average PPV, can't see a Wrestlemania happening on this side of the Atlantic.
-
Its quite sad to see really.

Nice touch of Barrett using the Bulldog's theme after his promo. Was that German commentator, Carsen Schaefer, the guy that done the ring announcing at both the Raw episode in Germany when the European title debuted and the One Night Only PPV in Birmingham?
Â
I enjoyed the fact they embraced Barrett being in his own country and didn't make him do a forced promo to try and get over as a heel. I hate it when they do that, just embrace the fact he'll be cheered.

Â
Never seen a match between these two teams to be honest. Nice little match from 1988.
-
Can't put over the 1984 Wrestling Timeline with Roddy Piper enough. I'm a sucker for that time period anyway, even though it's before my time. I have all the available TNT episodes and love that wacky shit they were putting on back then while trying to fine tune the 'sports entertainment' thing.
If every guest on WWF Timeline were this good, I'd buy the 50 year box set right now. Unlike many, he also seems to have a good memory of things.
Â
But without spoiling it for anyone out there, any idea on what he was alluding to when referring to a locker room incident with Pat Patterson? I know it was something a bit off but couldn't make it out.
-
Get on these quick because they'll most likely be taken down soon. YouTube channel with Lanny Poffo's Breaking Kayfabe, Ole Anderson's wonderful RF shoot and Billy Jack Haynes' fucking mental RF shoot.

Marc Mero was a fixture through the 90's and seems happy as larry.

To be honest, I find Steve Austin more guilty of that at times.

I'm surprised that so many of you dislike JR's podcast, its probably my favourite. Might be something to do with enjoying his broadcast style over the years.

Seeing that the first PPV I watched live was Wrestlemania 9, I've always had a soft spot for outdoor shows. I remember how drab the following week's WWF Superstars looked compared to Wrestlemania.
WCW were much better than the WWF in that regard when I was a kid. Bash at the Beach taking place on an actual beach was so cool when I was 10 years old.
