Well he'll be waiting a long time then.
I'm not sure I like the happiness that some are displaying towards the demise of TNA. Sure, it's been a horribly run company, but its the only one that's come anywhere national level in the USA since WCW shut down.
As things stand, what else is there on the table? ROH?
I hope another company comes to the forefront, but at present, Wrestling is much poorer without it.

Strange point to raise really. If anything, I'd rather listen to Butch and Ian rip the piss out of shitty 1995 WWF gimmicks or 2000 WCW if that's the route you're going down. There's plenty of wrestlecrap in every promotion that's ever been. Its too easy now to be all triumphant and 'lets all laugh at TNA LOLZ'.

Â
Apparently Spike wants to keep wrestling on the network. They just dont want TNA. They've apparently spoke to two groups.
Â
Might not even be active promotions. It might be a case that someone has said "if there's a timeslot available, we can get something together". The hardest problem in starting up is getting a timeslot on a network. If there is one up for grabs, there's surely someone out there.
Â
You know, given his partnership with Jason Hervey and contacts in the TV industry, that might not be such a bad call.
Double J isn't allowed to speak with Spike TV as per terms of his release is he?
-
Who'd have thought it eh? Russo's rumbled and TNA is cancelled. Jim Cornette obviously runs Spike TV.
-
Instead, ratings are still in the same area that they've been since 2006. Spike gave them two hours, helped them sign Hogan, Bischoff, etc and moved them to Mondays, all of which were supposed to "take them to the next level" and all failed miserably. Spike have obviously identified Russo as a reason for this and asked Dixie to keep him away, and she flat out lied to them about it.
Â
It's a real shame but what on earth was Dixie expecting?
Â
Â
Can't argue with any of that to be honest. Its a shame for Professional Wrestling but there you go, Dixie Carter made her own bed.

Hero to the local bakery's accountant.
-
Looking forward to seeing Tajiri back on telly. The Wrestle-1 relationship is a big boost at the moment, especially with the thin roster.
-
nearly every fucker here and in Canada who wants it has already got it.
Â
Nah, I don't think that's true. I imagine there are many in my situation who will give the network a go when it launches, but not enough to want to faff about with the settings etc.
-
It wouldn't be the end of the world to have a live Pay per view shown live early afternoon in the states and then again on tape delay in prime time. Sunday afternoon isn't the worst time to be sat indoors after all.

The Dixie bump:
Â
The first TNA chant I've heard in quite some time.
-
Cant believe in 2014 the tapings are built around a middle aged woman getting put through a table by Bubba Ray Dudley.
Â
Yeah, but i'm still intrigued to see it though. I want to start watching TNA again now after reading about these recent shows, which is surely a good thing.
Usually taping beforehand is not a positive but if word gets out that these are unmissable shows, it might boost the ratings and get people talking about the company again. As, lets be honest, almost no-one here has been watching TNA for a few months beforehand.
-
Fair play for at least trying something different I suppose. I'll be intrigued as to the look etc.
-
Is this week's Raw worth watching? I'm really struggling to find the time to watch much wrestling at the moment, what with being busy and watching as much World Cup as I can possibly cram in so I'm debating intentionally reading spoilers for the first time in god knows how long.
Â
I doubt you're the only one in that situation. I'd like to watch TNA Slammiversary as the reviews have been good, but I can't see myself being able to watch it until there's a gap in the World Cup fixtures around the quarter finals or so.
Â
It must be having an effect on WWE (and probably TNA's) worldwide TV ratings in the same way a big NFL or NBA game has on Raw's ratings in America.
-
I'd find a couple of cheap gimmicks like the old Mike Sanders deal that allow them to bring in a different legend every week and also a recognisable free agent. Something that, for little outlay, gets people talking, checking out TNA (even if one segment on Youtube) and creates a bit of positivity.
Â
That's an excellent point. The roster is thin at best, so its a way of bringing fresh new faces to the screen every week too.
Â
Its funny though, only TNA could claim to try and be different to WWE by bringing back the six sided ring on the same day they announce the Hardy Boyz and the Dudleys are reforming.Â
Haven't the Dudley Boys been with TNA longer than their WWE run by now though?
-
That will be an interesting reception from the ROH fans!
Â
If they make a fuss then they're just children. No-one is making enough money in ROH (or TNA) to be in a position to refuse outside bookings if they become available.
-
Yoshi Tatsu for Japan would have been another.
-
I don't think Regal's ever said he hates football, just that he doesn't have much of an interest in it. I remember him tweeting a few times about Blackpool when they were in the Premier League.
I suppose it depends who they had in the studio at the time, there are a load they could have used really. Adam Rose, Lana etc.
Â
edit: Adam Rose if South Africa would have even qualified of course....
-
I can't imagine Vince liking football at all given he is a bit of a right wing loony, but WWE wrestlers discussing the World Cup brought a smile to my face anyway.

He's going to have to get a loyalty contract for Jarrett after the campaign to get him back in charge at TNA a while ago. I actually wouldn't mind if GFW is all of the old TNA roster from 2006/07. Steiner, AJ, Kaz, Daniels, Don West. Dig Monty Brown up if they can find him.
Â
Jarrett should be handing over his left bollock to get this guy back. He'll make him some $$$ if nothing else.
Â
Mind you, not sure about the blonde barnet he's sporting these days.

Still some really good seats left for the PPV. Floor seems sold out though. Guess this won't be totally identical to the baseball stadium. Absolutely no where near to the crowd achieved two years ago, then again. Slammiversary 2012 might be their best PPV ever so.
Â
I agree, I loved that show and watched it back in its entirety twice. I actually thought TNA had a chance and genuinely much preferred the TNA product over WWE at the time. Its gone to the shits now though.
Â
Could Eric Young not be the inductee? He's been there for donkey's years by now.
-
Look at that geek in the wrestling t-shirt. Compare that to Mr cool on the left in his Man Utd treble winning shirt!
-
I gave up when all the proper stars left. Being able to watch Hulk Hogan and Sting etc on a weekly basis was what kept me in, but now even the up-and-comers aren't even as good as those on NXT so I just can't see the point any more. Its genuinely now, the dregs that the WWE doesn't want.
-
It's a shame, really. A couple of years ago it did feel like the company had a bit of momentum and Impact was better than Raw, most weeks.
Â
Impact could be better than Raw right now but none of us would know it.
-
Seeing that the first PPV I watched live was Wrestlemania 9, I've always had a soft spot for outdoor shows. I remember how drab the following week's WWF Superstars looked compared to Wrestlemania.
WCW were much better than the WWF in that regard when I was a kid. Bash at the Beach taking place on an actual beach was so cool when I was 10 years old.

Great find!
Would love to see the whole show.
