Ahh, that's shit news. I know it's a cliche, but I was literally just listening to him yesterday. I mentioned the other day about my dad listening to R A The Rugged Man. I asked him what he'd liked best and one of his favourites was Freedom Form Flowing.
Blazing Arrow was big with me and my friends back in our sixth from days too. Make You Feel That Way was a favourite of mine and the first girl I properly loved. We used to listen to it all the time.Â
One of my best festival memories is us watching Blackalicious at Reading. Like @Chest Rockwell this has hit hard. Lot of memories.

Don't know whether to post this here or in the Today I Learnt thread. But my 62 year old dad messaged me today to tell me he's recently been getting into R A The Rugged Man.

So sorry to hear that @ElCece. As you say, heartbreaking.

Similar to this is anything that tells you something and then follows with:
Did you know?Â
And then tells you a really uninteresting fact that nobody would ever care about or know.
See Garth Crooks’s Team of the Week.

Nearly the same thing, but anyone who starts a YouTube comment with "Fun fact ..." can fuck right off.

I'm not one for shilling or over exaggerating. But @Astro Hollywood's patreon is one of the only things that genuinely makes me laugh out loud. His latest video about Saturday Superstore is some of his best work. The line "looking like a glam rock Fred West" being one of my personal favourites. If you've got the money spare, I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Based on the beak thats an oystercatcher I believe! We get them occasionally at work too but I think they are pretty rare. Is there a lake near your office or even the sea?
Just did a quick bit of reading up about oystercatchers, seems like a good shout. I reckon you've cracked it. I work on a holiday park, about a mile from the sea, with a river running behind, and the start of the Norfolk broads out the front. So that would make sense. Cheers for solving that mystery.

I get more excited for pet birthdays than most human ones.Â
This isn't technically a pet, but this seemed like the best thread to ask. I keep seeing these birds at work. They're really friendly and I'm a bit obsessed with them. I spend more time following them around than working. I'm not much of an authority on birds though and have no idea what species it is. Hoping the big brains of the ukff can help me identify it.

Are gimmicky CVs a thing now? My brother in law has been interviewing people recently. One person had a big #READYTOWORK at the bottom of theirs and another had a YouTube link to a music video they'd made, in with their address and phone number. It was for a waiting job in a restaurant.

This is amazing. Even more so with the reactions of the original members sitting in the crowd

Lost count of how many times I've watched this. I always lose it when the screen comes up and the choir are all wearing bowler hats. Really felt like John was playing through Jason.

I'd be tempted to put all of Pet Sounds. And for the longest time I'd have gone with God Only Knows if I had to pick just one track. But lately You Still Believe In Me has taken the top spot. Just lay in a dark room and let it surround you.

Robert Englund sang backing vocals on Can You Feel The Love Tonight. I thought my mate made that up. But apparently it's true.

I've got that calendar hanging up right now. Best ÂŁ13 I spent.

Had my second dose on Tuesday. Hate to break with tradition, but I had a slush puppie afterwards.

Sorry to hear that @DEF. Your dad sounds like a boss and I bet you're so proud of him. The world would be a better place with more people like him in it.Â

If he locked them in a chest like they do a bearded Glenn Close in Hook, then yeah, that would creep me out as a kid.

Couple of short videos of the babies. Couldn't work out how to embed them so they were viewable on here. If anyone else can, feel free.

Thanks for the kind words guys, means a lot. Picked up Lu from the pet crematorium today, so she's back home for good. The babies are adorable and seem to be doing well, the vets going to give them the once over this week. They're all feeding well and getting bigger.
The dog keeps going out to Luellas hutch and looking for her though, it's heartbreaking watching him so confused at her not being there.
