Guest DJM
I'd like to know if any of the following (foreign) movies are any good;VersusAzumiMasters Of Horror - ImprintThese are all pretty good. I take it you are downloading Imprint (seeing as it is not available to buy anywhere yet) - you should like it if you liked Audition!Three ExtremesI only really liked 'Cut' from the three short-films on the DVD (the one done by Park Chan-wook!). That said I have only seen the shorter version of 'Dumplings'.Gabal (Aka: The Wig)It is meant to be like all the other "creepy ghost girl" movies available. If you like that kind of movie then it is probably worth checking out if you can find it cheap. Edited April 18, 2006 by DJM
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted April 18, 2006 Paid Members Share Posted April 18, 2006 I just finished watching Clockers for the first time in a long time. That film is a true hidden classic, it's so good.
Van_Dammer
Thanks, DJM. Â I had the chance to watch Van Wilder last night. It's a fairly decent comedy with a reasonable plot. However, the story is rather conventional and cliched at certain points, but I suppose that's to be expected. The film was enjoyable because it featured a couple of fantastic gross-out moments, some adult humour and a few genuinely funny moments. Additionally, Kal Penn and Ryan Reynolds were very good in their respective roles. Edited April 19, 2006 by Van_Dammer
aaron
Orgazmo I'm a huge fan of Matt Stone and Trey Parker (the creators of South Park) and, I may be in the minority, but I love this film. I watched it again last night just because it's been a while since I'd last seen it. Anyway, as Trey Parker plays a Mormon who is recruited to act in a porn movie, it features a lot of adult humour. The plot develops very well and there's a great range of characters that are used to maximum comedic value. In short, I think this movie is fucking hilarious. Â YES!! what a brilliant movie, when i first watched this i couldn't stopped laughing. Everyone started getting pissed of at me though when i started doing the Merry Chritmas bit to them. Â Yup, that film had me in stitches.

DJ Stevie C
I'd like to know if any of the following (foreign) movies are any good;Twilight SamuraiIf you want an all action samurai fighting boodthirsty movie, No. If you want a good 'people' story and a fairly realistic look at the period and the people that were around in those days then Yes. Though there are 2 sword fights that are both good
donnie420
slaughter house of the rising sun- wow what a shit film.... truely fucking terrible. me and some of my buddys love to rent low budget horror flicks like this, have a smoke and laugh like fuck at the cheesy lines, gore and acting. theres usually one or two hilarious characters in these kind of flicks aswell which keep us entertained through out the film (or at least until they are killed off by some axe wielding maniac waring a cool mask) anyway the film started off with some sort of midget porno being filmed so it looked like it had potential but as it went on it just got worse and worse what i can remember about the film is a blonde chick (who was fucking the midget at start) ends up in the desert and bumps into a bunch of hippys anyway 3 ghosts apear and make the midget fucker kill the hippys in boring lame ways. this is when it got switched off. none of the characters were funny, none of the deaths were gory, and the story was fucking stupid... utter rubbish. KRISProdigy
Lord of War  Wow, just a really great film that i didnt expect. Bridget Moynahan is the only slightly dissapointing thing about the movie as she just cant act well enough for the role she is playing. Brilliant story with a clever twist, reminded me alot of Goodfellas in the way it was told. Jared Leto plays an excellent character and the dialogue is very quick at times.  Definite Recommendation  Scary Movie 4 If you watch the trailer dont bother going to see the film, so many "i bang head on ceiling" gags

Twatters
Memento Mori  Well i think that's what it's called. In short it's about a lesbian relationship at an all girls school and what happens after one of them seemingly, commits suicide. I picked it up cheap a while ago, and ive only just got round to watching it. And, I really enjoyed it. I liked the way it was shot, and i actually found it quite scary in places.  4/

stingersplash
Saw II - got the DVD today from cd-wow, cost me 6 quid and i feel ripped off :(Nowhere near as good as the first one. The problem was unlike the original film that had the incredible twist ending, myself and my wife found ourselves knowing what was happening next it was that predictable.
