Fog Dude Posted 16 hours ago Author Posted 16 hours ago The final scores went into the opening post on Sunday night, and I didn't miss or forget about a goal this time... at least I think I didn't. Nobody into double figures in this low-scoring round, but reigning champion Vegeta is beginning to re-assert himself as top scorer, which moves him comfortably into the top half of the table in the main competition. No outright worst performer this time out, but it does leave late picker Bent Wookie half a dozen adrift, while TildeGuy's lead is cut for the first time in a while, albeit only by a single point so it still stands at a clear ten points. With so many equal scores, we unsurprisingly had our first draw in the FPL Cup, which was still enough to guarantee Tilde progression. MVP RULZ is well placed to top the other group, while the two players remaining on zero need to win next time or else hope other results go for them in order to avoid elimination. One of those is Gooner, who somehow stays in second place above Rory by the skin of his teeth, saved by the randomly selected "wildcard" game which was match #5 at Anfield, where nobody got the exact scoreline and just two managed the correct outcome. It also helped Bent Wookie avoid an even worse result, as they were very lucky the randomiser ended up landing on a Sunday game. Elsewhere, not great to be honest. Victories for Bournemouth, Brentford and Rapid Vienna were generally good for one-pointers, but guesses for the Italian matches and the EPL tussles at Cov and The Circle were all over the place, while a score draw in the Klassiker and progress for Hibs in the League Cup caught most participants out. The FPL Cup is now taking a break for a week as we get another D2D out of the way this weekend, in a card dominated by the men's FA Cup which should appear in the original post very soon indeed.
