Turnbucklepads Posted May 12, 2025 Posted May 12, 2025 Haven’t posted on here in so many years but so pleased to see it’s still going after all this time. I first found this forum back in 2004 and cannot believe it’s still active with members I remember back in the day like Tiger Rick and Supremo, JN lister. Not much point to this post and was equally shocked I remembered my old password to sign in. I have such fond memories of this place of tape trading and running my old website and trading list to gather such a great dvd collection (a collection I still have today) well done to everyone for keeping this going in a time where social media has almost killed forums. ? Don't post much thesedays as I only really watch a couple of full shows per year, but always nice to see an old name pop up. This is one of the few places that's still around from before social media destroyed the internet, and I have a ton of fond memories from the glory days of this place. Quote
Turnbucklepads Posted May 12, 2025 Author Posted May 12, 2025 Same! This place for me was the one place to go for news, amazing off topic chat that made me laugh so hard ?. Tape trading and even being threatened with copyright from WWE at times ?. The banter which was so savage. You couldn’t say anything without being picked apart. Glad to say I’ve matured massively now. Loved my tape trading days and the birth of DVDS and wrestling. Fond memories for sure. Quote

Unless my memory is deceiving me, I'm fairly sure I bought a fair few videos from you, back in the days of postal orders and cheques! Did you used to have a website? Quote

Did you used to have a website? I did indeed! Creatively named CTX Videos and specialising in WCW tapes/compilations (I seem to recall the Best of the Cruiserweights and the 3-Volume Raven in WCW series being the most popular) before WCW footage became so easy to access. Great times, although I ended up dumping my entire collection (literally a skip full, including every official WWF PPV release up to the WWE name change) around 15 years ago when my gran died and I had nowhere left to store them. They were pretty much obsolete by that point anyway, but was still sad to see them go! Quote

Funnily enough I was watching some lucha underground lastnight which was my last real posts on here and it seems my last avatar too. I am going to try get back into this forum if I can. It’s so great to see so many of the old timers still doing their thing. I can remember this place having 1000 members online at one time and it being a real place for Brit wrestling to promote events. IPWUK LDN and watching 1PW become so big they ended up promoting international talent like AJ Styles on their cards. What a time. ? Quote
