I think if used right, this is a good thing to have. Don’t they do this sort of thing in the US when a child goes missing or tornadoes are inbound?  Personally I’d like alerts as to when Pringles are

So I'd be fine if something happened Monday to Friday (a minute late), but if a nuke went off at the weekend while I'm out, the bomb would arrive before I'd got the alert.

At least the mass panic would be staggered with 20% of the population getting a message at 3:01 and slowly moving across the network, which the final 40% after the 4 minutes not even being aware
