This card is so stacked. That placement of Paul Craig is crazy. He must have some enemies in the UFC match making team.

Just saw this interview with him. He comes across quite likeable, but he also says something that a thin-skinned twunt like Dana would probably want to make him pay for - he reckons that British fighters essentially are penalised for being based in the UK instead of moving to the U.S.

Here’s an interesting bit of trivia that hardly anyone knows. Molly McCann is a scouser.

I've long felt like we're back in the 80s - shitty Tory government with a shit female leader (for a while), problems with Europe, rise of nationalism and racism, tension with Russia, and now, to top it off - controversy surrounding a Russian called Volkov standing in the ring of a popular combat sport. Just need an Iranian dressed as an Arab to stand in there with him, and the circle is complete.

Shave Beneil Dariush’s head and give him curly boots and we’re set.

Lol.

I mean he’s like Conor in that they’re both absolute bellends but that’s where the comparison ends. He’s nowhere near as talented a fighter as Conor was on the climb in 2013-15 and I think the Conor who fought Poirier utterly spanks him as well. So while people being interested in his fights is obviously no bad thing, his ceiling is so much lower than Conor’s was that it’s pointless making any comparison like this. It’s hilarious reading social media this week, especially since the little round of handbags with Topuria. You can tell the people who’ve actually watched Pimblett fight a few times and those who are just getting swept up in his ‘lad’ waffle. He’s not a bad fighter, and I’m expecting him to beat Vargas on Saturday, but I think a lot of his new cringeball followers are gonna be very disappointed when he steps up a level.

I know this aint the UK MMA thread but if anyone's up for a decent UFC London primer, Cage Warriors have an event from the Indigo Arena at the o2 tomorrow evening live on Fight Pass.

The event's card has been decimated by pullouts and there's only 7 fights left. It lost its originally main event of Vucenic vs. Hughes II which was a big fight for Cage Warriors as well. Regardless, im on for this tomorrow evening, the venue is sold out with fans already in town for the UFC, so it should be a good night.

Think Sato may be a decent underdog pick over Nelson on Saturday night. Not sure what Nelson will have left in the tank at this stage.

Hooker seems fine, he was doing video stuff with the Mac-Life yesterday. Didn't look like a guy struggling with a weight cut. Sato however looks terrible, I take my pick back, Nelson wins.
