R.I.P Chyna

I'm more shocked at this than I thought I would be considering her lifestyle.

That tweet Kurt angle done with the picture of her and Eddie together saying I been waiting for you mamacita was such a nice pic.

Not sure if it's been posted, but Triple H has spoken to the UK media regarding Chyna's death;

"It is obviously tragic and clearly my well-wishes go out to her friends and family.

"Brilliance sometimes, and that ability to push barriers and boundaries and be a pioneer, is often connected closely with other things that aren't so positive sometimes, and demons, and unfortunately that is the case.

"Man, [she was] just a great person, an amazing talent, a ground breaking pioneer, that was never afraid to go out on a limb and blaze her own trail through life.

"She never took, and when you're choosing a path [you can say] 'hey here is a path let's go down that one' or you can blaze your own path and burn it up and create something for others to follow, and that's what she did, and that star shone bright, but unfortunately burned out way too fast."

The New York native was a founding member of the acclaimed 'Attitude Era' faction D-Generation X with HHH and Shawn Michaels.

However, she was also known outside the ring for posing nude, a sex tape, a career in porn and problems with substance abuse.

She had been pushing to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but her former boyfriend previously said this was unlikely, despite her many worthy achievements.

In 2014, he said Chyna's history was an issue in case young fans researched who she was online.

Asked today if he would like to see Chyna posthumously inducted, Triple H told the Mirror she 'definitely warranted' a place.

WWE's executive vice president of talent, live events and creative said: "You know it's not my decision, but I definitely think, as I have said before, that what she did in her life certainly warrants it.

"There was never anybody like her before her, and there will never be anybody like her after.

"It's certainly warranted and I'm sure at some point when the time is right, hopefully, that could happen."

Chyna reportedly died from a possible overdose, although a cause of death is yet to be officially confirmed.

She was found in her California apartment by a friend on Wednesday.

Chyna was released from her WWE contract in 2001 and for many years alleged that Triple H was responsible.

According to Chyna, she was forced out of the door after her then boyfriend - real name Paul Levesque - began dating Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of WWE owner Vince McMahon, to whom he is now married.

Triple H and WWE have always denied these claims. WWE say they couldn't agree on terms when Chyna was renewing her contract.

Very sad although unfortunately not surprising considering she was dealing with personal issues. It's tragic that her life unraveled after leaving WWE and really that is the catalyst to her fall which she sadly never recovered from. Breaking up with Hunter was something I'm guessing she never really got over and I'd imagine she got addicted to drugs to numb her pain. Despite some bad words about her guys like Vinny Russo, Cactus making others have said nice things about her and Russo especially seems broken up by the news. I think behind the super heroine esque Chyna character she was just Joanie and I remember reading in her book she had facial reconstruction surgery to look more feminine because of some folks harsh opinions about her. So she not only had issues with family, but with her body and wanting to become more attractive. She became a sex symbol and a Playboy centrefold which resulted in the great angle with Eddie and his Mamacita and in the process proved her doubters wrong. The days after the WWE with the controversy and such seemed to me to be sad attention seeking behaviour. I'd imagine she needed a helping hand but her friends were few and far between and she was essentially blackballed from WWE. When she went over to Japan it seemed she was getting her life together and exorcising her personal demons. Sadly it seems in the end they got the better of her in the end. WWE seem highly hypocritical now singing her praises especially Stephanie and Hunter which I think is a crock. They have had ample opportunity to help her yet they didn't. I think we'll see a Hall of Fame induction now and really they need someone to accept and publicly tell the truth. If there's any solace to this news I hope shes at peace now. Behind her Chyna persona you can see she was just Joanie and sadly she became a broken soul because life took such a toll on her. As they say there's no cure for a brokenheart and her relationship with HHH going south would have been the icing on the cake of her other personal problems. Wrestling has its snakes but she's one of the good ones despite the anti Chyna propaganda they put out. She was a huge part of DX, a trail blazer for women's wrestlers, essentially creating the modern day Divas division, but most of all despite whats been said by some she was a down to earth and like everyone had issues. Sadly she could never deal with hers but she succeeded in a predominately male industry and for that she should be applauded.

R.I.P. Joanie Laurer :(
