Fog Dude
The results went into the opening post last night, and the updated table was uploaded earlier today. In a low-scoring round, the average haul was just 4.8 points. MVP RULZ still leads by a whopping 31 points, but top scorer Glenryck Pilchards moves well away from the bottom as the only player into double figures this week. Stinky and Nana were joint worst performers this time out, and the latter slips to second last place, but he's nonetheless well clear of Zebra Kid Mark. The D2D involved hbk4life betting on Newport to win – which made a change from the last few turns – and for most of the match it looked like it'd pay off as the Welsh side had improved lately since a takeover and ditching of Terry Butcher. However, Brackley (which is apparently an actual place and not just a vehicle for 90s Football Italia commentator Peter Brackley) also have a Welsh link in that they're led by a former Wrexham manager, and duly stormed back to equalise in injury time. Strangely, only 5 of the other 19 participants took advantage of this slip to claim their bonuses. Elsewhere in the Cup, Barnsley's reverse at Altrincham caught out most pickers, but the score draw at Witton (The Drill Field in Northwich is alas no more) was useful for many as the less illustrious visitors snatched a draw against a team who currently find themselves 3 divisions below them through various misfortunes. Wigan's collapse at a team level on points with them in the League One play-off zone wasn't widely foreseen. Indeed, SNRN10 even went for the exact opposite scoreline! Away victories for Welling and Colchester proved fruitful, but only the former was any good for three-pointers. An equally crazy score at Balaídos only yielded a few one-pointers at best, whilst Madrid's reverse in Seville – much deserved after they got El Clásico moved to suit their own whims – produced a dud result. Closer to home, the drawn North London derby was better for a majority of people than the home win at the Britannia. I'm doing this earlier than normal because I want to get the next set of 10 up sometime tomorrow, since it's an international week next time and there are some big games on the Friday.
