Fog Dude
The final scores went into the opening post early on Monday morning, and the latest table was uploaded shortly afterwards, but this write-up is late because I've been hastily sorting out a move to Sussex the past couple of days. For this reason I might not have a connection at home for a few weeks as of this Friday, but unlike my trips to the continent (which shouldn't happen again until at least May or - ideally- June), I'm not expecting it to cause any major disruption. It just means that updates and new FPL threads won't be posted last thing at night or first thing in the morning, since I'll have to access this place from uni computers in Falmer. Anyway, let's not stray into personal blog territory too much. You'll notice that hallicks no longer appears in the standings as he asked to be taken out before being disqualified for missing too many weeks. Doing badly last year and starting this season terribly must be disheartening, but it also sounds like he keeps forgetting to make his picks in time because he's ridiculously busy at the moment, and doesn't rule out having another crack in a future campaign if he's got more spare time. For those still in, it was a low-scoring week. Glenryck Pilchards managed to move into second place by being the only player to make it into double figures, but The Ratt and TildeGuy were joint next best performers on 8 apiece, along with Zebra Kid Mark. He finally got an exact score, but remains in last place, a full 5 points behind equal worst participants this time out, Seph and Two-Face. They and SNRN10 were the only people to incorrectly agree with MVP RULZ, as the reigning champion continued his poor run of form by getting his D2D wrong - the 6th in a row to do that now. Many took a point from the eventual stalemate at the Reebok, with Reading's win over hapless Fulham proving more fruitful than Wigan's reverse at Ewood Park in the other Championship results, but three-pointers were hard to come by once more. Over in Germany, some of you had clearly paid attention to Hamburg's decline as Sunday's loss at Hannover proved to be Mirko Slomka's last game in charge. That said, few could foresee Chelsea-bound Schalke succumbing at Gladbach the previous evening. Closer to home, it was slim pickings in the Prem, but Newcastle's slump at St Mary's was probably the least surprising outcome, even if nobody quite went for that margin of victory. Leicester's triumph at the Britannia was, conversely, the opposite end of the spectrum: a near-dud. That'll do, methinks. New thread coming up straight away. Prince Nana
Fog Dude it appears you have deprived me of my correct score in the Hamburg game, which means my total this week should be 8.
