MungoChutney
Yeah, I know he's not El Espanacas anymore, but that's what the D2D tab on the spreadsheet was still telling me until just now. I had to alter a few people's names on the table before calculating last week's scores, but I didn't get round to the fixtures and other pages straight away. They should all be sorted now though. At least in steve's case, his D2D was out the way for he decided to get re-baptised by neil, which meant a bit less hassle for me. Back to normal with just the 10 matches this week. The card includes a rare trip to the States, which always pleases last year's runner-up no end: Premier League Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur (Sunday 4pm) 1-2 Stoke City v West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Swansea City v Sunderland 2-1 West Ham United v Manchester City (5:30pm) 0-3 Championship Barnsley v Middlesbrough w/Glenryck Pilchards 1-2 Millwall v Queen's Park Rangers 1-2 Scottish Premiership Aberdeen v Dundee United 2-1 Motherwell v Heart of Midlothian 1-0 Major League Soccer Colorado Rapids v Vancouver Whitecaps (11pm) 2-1 New England Revolution v Columbus Crew (Sunday 12:30am) 1-0 All games kick off on Saturday and at 3pm unless stated. Fog Dude
Sorry everyone, had an unusually busy weekend and have been playing catch-up for the past couple of days, so the final scores only went into the first post yesterday morning. The table was uploaded before the normal deadline of midnight last night, but that's no use to you lot without the link, so apologies again for that. Not only did Boro not win at Oakwell as Espanacas had said they would, they lost by the odd goal in five, which proved to be the result that ultimately cost Tony Mowbray his job. I believe this is the first time D2D has had such dire consequences beyond the FPL! That outcome was also not helpful for Mr Pilchards, as 12 of the other 22 participants - a majority - this time out rightly disagreed with him to claim their bonus points, although many of those only bet on a draw. Glenryck's score of 6 was on the low side for this round, but he nevertheless moves above Prince Nana and Shy Dad, who were this week's joint lowest scorers with a paltry 3 points each. There were 4 equal top scorers, two of whom were the leaders, so the gap at that end stays the same. Vegeta and Lawz also made it into double figures to stay in touch with the summit. At the bottom, hallicks outscores Mungo by one point to move ten clear of the wooden spoon spot. As for the other matches, most people got all 4 EPL results right, but nobody quite managed the exact score from The Liberty Stadium while, strangely in hindsight given what a turgid stalemate it was, everyone thought there'd be at least one goal in the clash at The Britannia! The two MLS meetings proved equally fruitful for correct results, but the exact scorelines eluded all players there as well. The two home wins in Scotland were useful for three-pointers, however. Lastly, in the all-London Championship tussle, few foresaw that promotion-chasing QPR would fail to win at struggling Millwall. All right, new card should be up very soon, because these updates are getting worryingly delayed lately.
