David
I'm kinda hoping that neither is the aggressor and we do see a dance-off for 25 minutes just to see Dana losing his shit at the post-fight presser.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted January 13, 2016 Â Â Â Anyone else worried that we just end up seeing 25 minutes of two guys Irish jigging and throwing the odd punch? Â Totally. Not sure if even they can do that for 5 full rounds, though. Â Cruz has done in plenty of times in the past. Â Â Against someone else doing the same thing? One of them will have to become the aggressor eventually. Â Dillashaw is aggressive though, he utilises a lot of footwork but he's aggressive in doing so. Cruz is by far the more elusive of the two, he isn't going to get aggressive if his stick and move type tactics are working.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted January 13, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted January 13, 2016 Yeah I think Dillashaw is the more dangerous of the two. His strikes seem to have a bit more venom to them. It'll be really interesting to see how Dillashaw looks though, when he's in there with someone as crafty and tricky as Cruz. If TJ starts missing and hitting nothing but air for a bit, will he start getting frustrated? Cruz is a master at that. Â It's a fascinating fight, it really is. I'm not even expecting it to be particularly good. Chances are this won't be a fight that'll get many rewatches. But I can't wait to see how it goes and who gets the upper hand as the rounds go by. Â I'm assuming Faber gets the winner, right?
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted January 13, 2016 yeh Faber makes sense for either guy. I'm gonna lay down some money on Cruz this weekend but Dillashaw/Faber is the fight i want to see coming out of it though.
METAL ON METAL
So Mitrione had to do the media day interviews today barefoot, as he was wearing branded shoes that weren't Reebok. Plus he got a Reebok jacket forced onto him because his 'non-compliant' polo shirt had a tiny logo on it.

I'm assuming he knows the score?
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 15, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2016 Yeh i dont feel sympathy for Mitrione here. I you're at work you have to wear the uniform, it doesn't matter what you think of Reebok you have to wear what you're told to wear when you're on official UFC business. Â People blew up about the Cerrone thing a few weeks ago when he sewed a patch onto his shorts which was a tribute to hiw nan. Nice story and all but it's tough shit, it's against the rules. These guys signed contracts telling them what they can or can't do, they need to abide by them.

Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 15, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2016 yeh, they did sign contracts. That was the main reason Brendan Schaub walked away from the UFC, i think he might have been the only guy who actually refused to sign the contract. Paid Members Carbomb Posted January 15, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2016 It's very odd - surely there's nothing the UFC could've done to force them to sign new contracts without them walking away as the only alternative?
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted January 15, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2016 Cruz 13 - Dillashaw 3 in the poll as of now. I know I've kept banging on but I am very surprised how one sided that poll has been. I am pretty stumped as to who's going to win the fight, to be honest. Slightly leaning towards TJ but it's as close to a tossup as you can get IMO. Â Pettis vs Alvarez and Cruickshank vs Felder are going to be brilliant. Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 15, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2016 ive put my treble down (Cruz, Saunders, Some Fucker). It feels wrong that im gonna have to find myself rooting for Cruz though, he's come off as a right prick in the buildup.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted January 15, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2016 Nah fuck TJ. I'm Team Cruz all the way. Â Where's Cruz come off as a prick? I haven't followed the build-up to this one much at all. Are you talking about that Counterpunch thing or something else?
