Paid Members Egg Shen Posted September 30, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted September 30, 2015 surprised at how little chat there was about last Saturday's show. Â Barnett/Hunt ended up being way better than i expected. Never would have imagined it going 5, and it was just a brutal fight. It wasn't fought at a belting pace but those two beat the fucking piss out of each other. Josh Barnett can inflict damage in so many ways, Nelson being so tough just made it a very long, painful night. Surely the damage that guy takes is gonna hinder him later in life? Â I'll take credit for the Hall win then i shouldn't really cause i would have bet on Mousasi winning all day, but knowing the skillset Hall possesses you can't really count him out of anything, he has the ability to beat anyone at 185. It'll be exciting to see if beating a guy will bring out the confidence in him. Surely one of the finishes of the year. Â Rest of the main card was so-so but i think the main and co. are worth peoples time. Â Super excited for the Dublin show, i wont get to watch it live as im at a wedding but it's gonna be a good one! Love how the european cards really stand out now with the regular fighters, top to bottom it's looking quality.
seanz25
Anyone know if BT are allowed to show this one live? Recall us seeing the last Dublin card live but not the Scotland show so who knows.. Â Should stick it on Showcase and let as many people as possible view it if they can

Virgin media customers don't get access to their apps streams.  Ah, that's a bit shit.  I've just subscribed to BT TV (plus broadband etc) and I've been impressed so far. The on demand UFC stuff is great and still has the entire year's fight night's and PPV avaialble to watch plus seasons of ultimate insider, ultimate knockouts etc etc.  I'm hoping that if it's not on TV that it will be available via the red button.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 16, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 16, 2015 With Miocic and Rothwell off the show, the main card's been reshuffled. Holohan vs Smolka is the co-main now.   FIGHT PASS MAIN CARD Dustin Poirier vs Joseph Duffy Paddy Holohan vs Louis Smolka Norman Parke vs Reza Madadi Nicolas Dalby vs Darren Till  FIGHT PASS PRELIMS Stevie Ray vs Mickael Lebout Neil Seery vs Jon Delos Reyes Scott Askham vs Krzysztof Jotko Aisling Daly vs Ericka Almeida Cathal Pendred vs Tom Breese Darren Elkins vs Robert Whiteford Bubba Bush vs Garreth McLellan Losing the heavyweights was a big hit to the card but it still looks decent and that main event more than makes up for it, I reckon.  Oh and this is in Dublin airport at the moment apparently;
d-d-d-dAz
For anyone wondering, the Dublin show is one that got booked after BT signed their contract and, because Danas a sly fuck who eventually wants some of that lovely sky sports subscription money, he's sold it to Sky who are putting it on Pick. Â Or at least it was on Pick, last I heard.
seanz25
Really don't think that currently the moment Sky's where you wanna be heading. BT's pissing all over them in-terms of major sporting rights and to be fair they do debenr coverage of the sport.
SNRN10
For anyone wondering, the Dublin show is one that got booked after BT signed their contract and, because Danas a sly fuck who eventually wants some of that lovely sky sports subscription money Or the fact he wants more fight pass subscriptions where it won't be blacked out   he's sold it to Sky who are putting it on Pick. Or at least it was on Pick, last I heard. It is on Pick TV (but tape delayed even though the main card Starts @ 21:00) @ 23:00 but this show was a Fight pass card form the beginning (meaning not part of the BT Deal) [other fight pass cards this year Nov 28 Korea & Dec 10 Vegas]

Whether it's PICK TV on delay or what. Dec 10th is VanZant vs Calderwood and Nov 28th has Bendo vs Alves, it has Cro Cop, it has Sexyama and it has BANG VS KUNTZ! Â I really don't want Fight Pass. I wouldn't bother with the library because I've pretty much got all the old stuff I want. And with the amount of shows they pump out now, I don't think I'd bother paying extra for Fight Pass, even if these shows become Fight Pass exclusive for us down the line. The PICK TV/delay thing isn't ideal, but it'll do for me.
seanz25
Why bother with pick TV IMO. Obscure, non-hd (for sports in this day an age!) channel that's only benefit is it's high on the epg. Even still I get the impression it's one you gloss over its schedule due to your expectancy of it only showing Dog the bounty hunter replays and shows based on police forces. d-d-d-dAz
It's freeview, which exponentially increases its reach. Â Sky Sports acquisitions have never, ever been convinced by UFC. They're quite conservative in that regard. They dipped their toes in the water with Cage Warriors, and that bombed. Now, with the increasing success of UFC on BT, they're just dipping their toes in again.

I'm talking my own selfish convenience though. Fuck what's good or bad for business. It suits me being on PICK just fine, even on delay and with crappy editing. Â Now I wouldn't be saying that if we went back to the Bravo days and PPVs and FOX shows were on delay on PICK, but I don't mind if it's just the odd Fight Pass show. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 20, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 20, 2015 Joe Duffy on a potential rematch with McGregor; Â "I believe I can take Conor out just as quickly. Everyone else has noticed Conor has greatly improved, and so am I. Everything Conor does, I feel can beat him at, he uses more kicks. I've been doing taekwondo since I was five. There's not an area I feel he can beat me." Obviously this fight is a while off yet, and Duffy has his hands full with Poirier this Saturday, but I'm mega excited at the prospect of Duffy vs McGregor 2 down the line. I think a lot of people will dismiss Duffy if the rematch gets booked, because McGregor has become a huge star and everyone will rightly say McGregor has improved a ton since the first fight. Duffy just seems like a proper legit fighter to me though. He mightn't have the gift of the gab like McGregor does but I think he's the real deal and will start proving that at a high level starting with Poirier. McGregor knows it as well. He'll belittle Duffy publicly but you know he's going to take that rematch very seriously if/when it happens. Â I'm fascinated by this whole scenario. McGregor becoming a massive deal and the silent assassin Duffy coming back to haunt him. It's a great fight style-wise as well. I hope they both keep winning and the fight happens at some point. It seems too obvious not to happen.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted October 20, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted October 20, 2015 Yeh its an interesting story. If Duffy keeps winning big the fight is just gonna build up momemtum and people will call for it. On the flipside if Duffy loses a couple he could then potentially act as that gateway to 155 for Conor. Â Im fucking pumped for Saturday, it really is gonna tell us a lot about how good Duffy really is.
