They blew it up! Those damn dirty apes!

Racist!

02.19 Reports in Chalk Farm from police of a man on a bike armed with an axe.

That kinda stuff seems to happen all the time in and around Glasgow. Most of the time people would just point and laugh at the guy as they would be pissed.

Just heard someone on the radio say they should use that dye paint as they would not be able to get it off for a few days then just round them up after lol.

01.50 Sources: A male looter, aged around 60, has been thrown through a shop window in Croydon.

They're running out of bollards, and he was willing.

Where did you read that? they are trained just that this week was when the training was to be re-done. Doubt they will need it with this crash course.

The woman on Sky News hairstyle makes her forehead look like Frankenstein's monster.

It was reported earlier that minimal levels of Officers are trained in Public Order, there are three levels of training too.

In this situation Level One is the ideal, looking more at the tactics involved IIRC

Level Two is one step down from that, with shit being thrown at you and petrol bombs etc

and Level Three (what I qualified to about 6 years ago and never got retrained) is the basics of shield work

Most Coppers out there are in normal uniform and holding a Baton, they're fucking brave as they have no defence and the MET are risking serious pay outs if any one of them were to get hurt out there.

A CSO where I lived had to call a local police officer to come & ask a lad to get off his bike while in the town, whats the point in CSO's.

They were the last Labour governments way of making it look like more police had been put on the streets of the UK, thus making it look like they had “fulfilled” one of their main election manifesto promises. Of course now when we need extra fully trained Police officers, we have a bunch of glorified traffic wardens instead.

Fucking right. These guys are going out there with bullseyes on their backs just for being out there.

I just want to quote a Terry PRatchett book here. The leader of the city, after riots (very much like these) suggests a memorial for the copper sthat held the line and suggests a plaque with "they did the job they had to". This is the chief of police's respone

"No. How dare you? How dare you! At this time! In this place! They did the job they didn't have to do, and they died doing it, and you can't give them anything. Do you understand? They fought for those who'd been abandoned, they fought for one another, and they were betrayed. Men like them always are "

The fact is, a lot of these boys are doing more than their jobs and I salute them.

Fucking hell, that's disgusting. Even the "it's society's fault they're like this" people would surely think bad of the scumbags after watching that.

Surely not. I don't think the human brain is capable of thinking bad of individual criminality, while also contemplating the wider societal problems that can lead to the entrenchment of said behaviour. We only have one brain each, you know! Maybe one day we'll evolve to be able to take on such complex, nuanced thinking, or more likely someone will find a way to weld two brains together. Until that day though, it's one brain each, one thought process each. Either "society's fault" or "scumbags". Pick one and stick to it.
