The Natural Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 The draw was made an hour ago and incredibly John Isner will play Nicholas Mahut in the first round. Last year they played each other in the first round at Wimbledon in the longest match in tennis history with the fifth set ending 70-68. Â Fancy Nadal to win the Men's Championship, not sure about the winner of the Women's tournament yet.
freaky Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 The draw was made an hour ago and incredibly John Isner will play Nicholas Mahut in the first round. NO FUCKING WAY. Â Good lord, this is going to be epic.
Kenny McBride Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 No it won't. It'll probably get a show court and end up 6-3 6-1 6-2 and be the most boring match of the whole tournament. Â I'm picking Murray to get to the final and then get hammered by Djokovic. Well, that's assuming Djokovic is in the other half of the draw. If they're in the same half, he goes out when he meets Djokovic.

Well, that's assuming Djokovic is in the other half of the draw. If they're in the same half, he goes out when he meets Djokovic. I think he's in the other half of the draw. Murray will be facing (most likely) the likes of Roddick in the quarters and Nadal in the semi if he gets through a couple of tricky third-round possibilities. I don't fancy Murray's chances this year unless Nadal gets injured.
Wrasslin Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I gotta go with Djokovic this year. He's in amazing form and it would just be nice to see the trophy go to someone other than Federer or Nadal.
Stylin_and_Profilin Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Don't think Federer getting runner up in Paris was enough to shift Djoko from #2 spot so i'd image it will be Nadal/Murray and Federer/Djokovic in respective sides of the draw. Â EDIT: Wouldn't make any difference actually as it would still be 1st and 4th / 2nd and 3rd on each half which ever way round Federer / Djokovic finished in the seedings.
hbk4life Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 My pick to win the men's is Federer. The women's is tougher to pick a winner, but i'm going for Kvitova. Lisicki and Stosur could have have good runs and no doubt Serena Williams will be there near the end as well.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted June 17, 2011 Paid Members Posted June 17, 2011 I think the only one that is capable of stopping Nadal this year is Djokovic. That's my pick for the final- but still going with Nadal to win.
Zpencee Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 i only gonna place my money on one thing: Wozniacki to choke again
Tommy Atkins Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Anyone else watching Isner vs Mahut? Going with serve so far, could be another long one.
The Natural Posted June 21, 2011 Author Posted June 21, 2011 Anyone else watching Isner vs Mahut? Going with serve so far, could be another long one. Â I'm watching. Missed them coming on, bet they got a great reception yes?
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted June 21, 2011 Paid Members Posted June 21, 2011 Why do Federer and Nadal never meet in the Semi-Final of a competition? Seems a bit odd.
The Curious Orange Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 It's explained a bit earlier in the talk of seedings. They'd either have to be seeded 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 to meet in the semis of a tournament, and for most part they've been 1 and 2 in the world.
