Paid Members eugenespeed Posted April 24, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted April 24, 2011 Watching an episode of World of Sport on Sky and it's a match between Steve Grey and Johnny Saint at The Hexagon in Reading. Â He's just had a go at the "journalists in the sleazy newspapers at the back of Fleet Street" and "they should come and try this". Â He actually sounded pretty angry, which was strange for Kent as he was usually a calm man. Any idea what he was referring to?
Big Rob
Probably just the general "oh, it's fake" dismissal of wrestling that you get from the media and most places. Incidently, that match was absolutely brilliant, probably the best match I've seen of either Saint or Grey.
britishwrestlinglegends
Kent Walton was incredibly loyal to wrestling, long after it was taken off TV. He was protecting the business & his friends within it. Kent was a real asset to British Wrestling, You will struggle to find anyone who has a bad word to say about him, including most recently McManus, Rocco & Walsh on Skys "Time of our Lifes". Â It maybe a little "Old School" to be overly protective, in this day & Age? I have no problem with anyone taking shots at wrestling, just as long as you do your homework & talk the truth in a constructive way.
The Dart
Only slighty off topic....I watched a bit of Rollerball Rocco vs. Mal Sanders on there yesterday. Tremendous stuff.
Snitsky's back acne
Shit, the decorators unplugged my Sky+ box today so World Of Sport didn't record. Denied.

Paid Members PunkStep Posted April 24, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted April 24, 2011 Is that the match that goes the distance? A ridiculous amount of rounds? If so, it was fucking immense. In fact, pretty much any match these two were involved with in those days was class. Two all-time greats in this country.
