lightningxlock Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Looking like a strangely awesome set of shows, I presume they're releasing them all?
Paid Members neil's bitch Posted May 5, 2011 Paid Members Posted May 5, 2011 Probably allready been posted, but here is pics of the IWGP IC belt! Â
mackie Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 The philly card looks like it could be really good but the other 2 look like an odd mix of really solid matches and matches that have been picked randomly
Dirty Eddie Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Who is Tama Tongo? Â Haku relative? Son of Tama from the islanders? None of these things? Â Thanks
cobystag Posted May 5, 2011 Author Posted May 5, 2011 Who is Tama Tongo? Haku relative? Son of Tama from the islanders? None of these things?  Thanks  He's Haku/Meng's adopted son according to Wiki.
jackhennessey Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 No Europe on the belt?! BUT Australia.. pretty sure that not even a continent lol  not to be super pedantic or arsey just noticed that. Other than that the belt plate and the design looks LOVELY woulda been a bit better gold but 'spose too many gold belts and its looses the appeal of the "main" belt etc  Im guessing this is gonna be competed mainly by gaijins overseas and then at important shows in Japan.... just an idea. Im gonna predict MVP as the winner of the tournament.

Im gonna predict MVP as the winner of the tournament.  Europe (well, Eurasia) is on the centre plate above the IWGP. The UK is under the "CO" in Intercontinental.  As for the winner, it's either MVP, Yano or Naito. It depends on if they want it to be a secondary singles title to build guys towards the main event.
jackhennessey Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 haha what a dunce didn't even notice Asia was missing too!
NBT Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Can't imagine how much of a trainwreck Dan Maff against Yano is going to be.
Snitsky's back acne Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Lost in the [justifiable] hype about the UK NOAH shows, NJPW staged their first US show last night at the Rec Centre in Rahway NJ.  Here are the results.....  Low Ki and Homicide beat Tiger Mask and Jushin Liger Satoshi Kojima pinned Kenny Omega Prince Devitt, Ryusuke Taguchi, Giant Bernard and Karl Anderson beat Gedo, Jado, Davey Richards and Shinsuke Nakamura Yujiro Takahashi beat Hideo Sato Tetsuya Naito beat Josh Daniels [sub for an injured Tama Tonga] Toru Yano defeated Dan Maff MVP pinned Kazuchika Okada Rhino and Charlie Haas beat Togi Makabe and Hiroshi Tanahashi  At the start of the show, a drum ceremony featuring ten children from the New Jersey Bi Wa N Ko [yes, thats how it's spelt], doing traditional drumming from Nagano Japan, was performed to welcome everyone and bless the tour.  Tonights show in New York is set to feature Charlie Haas v Hiroshi Tanahashi, Low Ki v Prince Devitt, MYP v Toru Yano and Tetsuya Naito v Yujiro Takahaski.
The Dart Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I read the show had 600 fans, but was announced as 1,800. I found that quite comical. Sounds good though.

Sixteen Degrees Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 The New York show seems to have been between 1000-1200 according to live reports. Low-Ki vs. Devitt is getting almost unanimously called match of the night. Â On the Philadelphia show tonight, after Bad Intentions (Giant Bernard & Karl Anderson) beat Satoshi Kojima & MVP, Lance Hoyt of all people attacked Kojima and MVP made the save.
