The Natural
 This woman.. is incredible  Aye!  I'm trying to piece together the UK's coverage of the UFC and I've come up with the following:  UFC on Sky: Briefly in 2002. UFC on Bravo: January 2005 to December 2007. UFC on Setanta Sports: January 2008 to June 2009 (UFC 99). UFC 100 airs on a different channel so UK fans won't miss it because Setanta Sports goes into administration. UFC on ESPN: August 2009 to present day.  I think I've got Bravo right as I remember the first PPV event was UFC 51 and the last I remember watching was UFC 79. If I'm wrong on any, please correct me!

If I'm wrong on any, please correct me!  You're right for most of that. On Bravo though, the last one they aired was the TUF 7 finale in June 08 with Evan Tanner's last fight vs Kendall Grove. Setanta was airing the UK UFCs live at that point and the US PPVs were still on 24 hour delay on Bravo.  I think the full Setanta deal was done in early 08 but wouldn't kick in until the summer. The deal properly started in July 08 and the first US UFC PPV we got live on Setanta was UFC 86: Rampage vs Forrest Griffin.  So it went like  Dec 2007 - UFC 79 (Bravo) Jan 2008 - UFC 80 in Newcastle (Setanta Live) & Fight Night 12 (Bravo) Feb 2008 - UFC 81 (Bravo) Mar 2008 - UFC 82 (Bravo) Apr 2008 - UFC 83 (Bravo) & Fight Night 13 (Bravo) May 2008 - UFC 84 (Bravo) Jun 2008 - UFC 85 in London (Setanta Live) and TUF 7 Finale (Bravo) Jul 2008 - UFC 86 & Fight Night 14 (Setanta Live)  and from then on everything was live on Setanta until UFC 100 in Jul 2009.  And of course even with the current ESPN deal the shows are all over the place with some airing on FX or Premier Sports and some old stuff on Five. TUF 10 was on 5USA aswell if I remember right.

I don't remember watching the others at all on Bravo heh.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted December 5, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2011 Haha yeah I remember trying to avoid the results for Wanderlei vs Jardine at UFC 84 was hell. Worth the wait in the end though.
David
According to ESPN UK UFC podcast John Anik will be doing trial runs on commentary tonight and 140 with different people. He will debut on commentary officially on UFC on FX Is anyone else getting sick of Joe Rogan's commentary? A new team would be the breath of fresh air the product needs I reckon. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted December 5, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2011 I like Rogan for the most part but I have found him increasingly irritating lately. Â He's been biased in a lot of fights the last few months. Listening to him during Aldo/Florian you'd swear Florian was winning. Thought he was pretty annoying in the Edwards/Ferguson fight too. His hard on for guys who use leg kicks and omaplatas grates sometimes aswell. He'll call for leg kicks even when the guy is fighting a wrestler and leg kicks would open him up to the risk of takedowns. Â And he was fine with the Dodson/TJ stoppage but Wand vs Cung Le was a bad stoppage? Maybe he needs a break. Â Still prefer him to Goldberg though. If I hear 'slips and rips' one more time I'm gonna choke someone.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's because I watch a lot of baseball & NFL, but I simply can't wait for the day when the UFC finally bring in some real quality sports announcers. Jon Anik seems a move in the right direction, with maybe a former fighter such as Randy Couture beside him.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted December 5, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2011 There's screenshots of Mayhem Miller's model for Undisputed 3 online now. He's the first of the pre-order exclusives they've shown so far.  People are moaning about how he looks. He does look weird   but not so bad here   I hope they get Nick Diaz right. Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted December 5, 2011 Moderators Share Posted December 5, 2011 Stick me on the fed up if Goldberg-Rogan list. Â I'm not fed up with them, per se, just bored of the requisite lines that open and close every. single. fight. dopper
Maybe to get more out of them other than the usual catchphrases and stuff, adding a fighter as a third voice whenever possible would be the way to go. Â Kenny Florian always does a decent job and I've heard fighters like Couture, Sherk, and Mir doing it on odd occasions. As there are always a few fighters in the crowd, you would think chucking one of them a few quid to do even a couple of fights would be achievable on most shows? Â Having someone for Goldberg and Rogan to bounce off other than eachother would freshen things up.
Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted December 5, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2011 I want them to keep Rogan. Yes he's become a little grating lately, but he's really intuitive when it comes to technical side and provides great insight. A few other fighters could do his job, but their not gonna do it full time. Â I'd love them to replace Goldberg with Anik though. I reckon Anik could do a fine job in that role. Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted December 5, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2011 Anyone watching the MMA Hour today? They've moved studios and Ariel has a new crew and there are a few teething problems to say the least. A ridiculous amount of things going wrong constantly and Ariel getting visibly upset as it goes on. Excitedly introducing Dan Henderson and then realising he was speaking to Dan Miller who's in the hospital with his child was cringeworthy. You could see him go white. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted December 5, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2011 Haha yeah I was watching that, well trying. Ariel was pissed off.  Just seen this quote from Nik Lentz on MMAMania  "I did roll with him one time and number one, it was really gross because the dude sweats like a ridiculous amount so I was just covered in Brock Lesnar sweat, like just dripping in his own sweat but then he was kinda messing around and I jumped on a guillotine and I wound up eventually tapping him out and then he actually got kinda angry and the next time that we started, he just picked me up above his head WWE-style and like threw me across the room so that was the end of my training with Brock. I got him one time."
