for those who haven't seen it, here's a gif. of Houston Alexander getting KO'd last weekend by former NHL player Steve Bosse...

BOSSE2.gif

Sucks for Houston as he might have been 1 fight away from a UFC recall, but you gotta love standing elbows.

Bellator have signed Maiquel Falcao!

Awesome signing for them, the prospect of Lombard vs. Falcao is absolutely mouthwatering!

It's great news. Bellator's a great place for Falcao, so many potentially fun fights and a steady flow of opponents instead of just popping up on random shows here and there. I can see him making an impact in Bellator. Falcao vs Lombard would be nuts.

Couple of little quotes from BloodyElbow

Antonio McKee wants to vote Dana White out of the UFC

"I'm here for the sport. I've been getting a lot of static about the stuff I've been saying about the UFC, and how I've been blasting them, but, at the end of the day, everyone, whether they like me or dislike me, whether they are a UFC fan or not a UFC fan, one thing they will say, if they're honest, is that McKee is right. I've been bashing away at Dana White for the way he talks about fighters, calling them p*ssies, calling women c*nts, and F this and F that, calling unions a bunch of idiots. You're an icon of the sport. The last thing we need is an icon showing this type of behavior to people who are engaging in this sport and support it. We need somebody to step up, that has a little bit of integrity and a little bit of respect for fighters, whether they're good fighters or bad fighters, the fact that they're fighters, and just show a little bit more appreciation. I'd like to vote Dana White out of the UFC and bring in somebody that has a little bit more courtesy and common sense, because this guy's definitely smoking some dust."

And Matt Lindland reckons Anderson Silva is trying to 'weasel out' of the rematch with Chael Sonnen

Ok one last question if I may then; I'm sorry if it's a bit out of left field but I'd really like to get your take on this. Do you think Anderson Silva takes the Superbowl weekend fight with Chael Sonnen?

Haha. Anderson will to find a way to weasel out of that fight. I don't know what his contractual obligations are as far as who he has to fight as a champion but they're already laying the ground work; I mean look at the article that came out this morning on Bloody Elbow.

His manager Ed Soares is already making excuses for Anderson to not take that fight so yeah I think they're going to try to weasel out of it. I don't know what his obligations are contractually to the UFC but his obligations to the fans are that he needs to take that fight.

Everyone of the fans know that Chael's the number one contender and the guy that has a chance of beating him, can beat him and exposed his weaknesses in that fight. The fans want to see that fight and Anderson owes the fans that fight.

Perhaps a little off-topic, but did anyone see Kimbo Slice's boxing match from a few days ago? Fucking hell...

Yeah. He'll have the Klitschko's shitting themselves now

I doubt that, but it was an impressive KO.

Yeah, I wasn't exactly being serious. I'll put sarcasm tags in next time for you if you need

Anyone read John McCarthys book?

I thought it was a fantastic read and probably my favourite MMA book. He goes into alot of detail from his early life and LAPD aside from the massive amount of MMA stuff. There are loads of very cool stories in there and it is written so well. Pick it up if you haven't already.

Also, Bruce Buffer will be releasing a book next year. That should be awesome.

The Whip by Serengeti. It's an MMA inspired rap song that appears on his latest album Family & Friends. It's a song about what might have been. A song about how life might have turned out if only things had gone differently. I like it a lot.

You should listen to it. You might like it too.

Serengeti is one of the most intelligent rappers in the game. One of his best as well.

Thanks for the review. I've had a couple of family members asking what I fancy for Christmas so that might be an option.
