pryko
Matt Mitrione pic from his twitter. This has to be a photoshop. Right? He's been on the Dolce Diet recently but fuck me..surely that pic isn't real.He does look immense, I get the feeling though he is just one of those people that has the body type to get into that sort of shape so it shouldn't really come as a suprise.Maybe he's working towards the Tito Ortiz fight

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 6, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted October 6, 2011 Yeah I just saw that If not Bones vs Suga then what else? Maybe they could get Machida in and do Jones vs Machida? I'd like to see that. Machida's got nowt else going on, he's probably sitting there phone in one hand, mug of piss in the other waiting for Joe Silva's call right now. If not that then I'm sticking with my Randy Couture theory
Paid Members Snake Plissken Posted October 6, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted October 6, 2011 It's going to be Jones Vs. machida apparently.

Shane O' Mac Version 2
Good time to do it, they can hype Machida retiring Couture going into this fight. Jones is one hell of an active fighter, 4 fights in one year? Gotta respect that, most of the top tier guys only fight 2.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 6, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted October 6, 2011 Yeah good point. And look at the 4 he'll have fought in just one year. Bader, Shogun, Rampage and Machida. That's some of the toughest opposition he could face and he's beat the first 3 with ease. Jesus christ.

If he lost to Machida, would the first three wins still make him Fighter of the Year or would Anderson Silva take it?

Of all the champs none are dominating in such a flashy and impressive way as Silva and Jones. I would say if Jones lost to Machida then Anderson would be my Fighter of 2011 just because he'd be unbeaten in 2011. The Belfort KO was a more shocking and amazing finish than any of Bones' wins this year for me aswell.
Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted October 6, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted October 6, 2011 Yeah it's crazy to think how much of an amazing year Jones has had. If he beats Machida and adds another name to the 2011 list of destruction, then that would be something indeed. On the other side of this Rashad Evans misses out again. Poor fucker. Paid Members Snake Plissken Posted October 6, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted October 6, 2011 Rashad/Jones is almost like an old school wrestling angle with the heel getting counted out until they finally meet at the Big PPV. The hype for this will be insane by the time they finally meet which as this point might not be until UFC 150.

Cool.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted October 6, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted October 6, 2011 if Jones beats Machida, it'll be without doubt one of the most impressive years by an MMA fighter ever. I think in recent months due to the general shift in people feelings for Jones, people may have just forgotten just how special the guy is. Incredible year.As for the new matchup...Although ive been saying for a while that i think Evans stands the best chance of beating Jones, i think Lyoto Machida is the kind of guy that offers that unique kind of style that makes this a very intersting fight. I aint sure if Jones will attempt to do his flashy striking against a unique kind of striker like Machida (although that battle would be fascinating). I see Jones turning this into a wrestling contest. In a way i'm happy because it means the Evans/Jones fight will have even more time to build. If Jones gets through Machida, a Evans/Jones fight around March next year would be even bigger...and if Machida beats Jones we have Evans/Machida II. It always works out.
