  1. Bryan Alvarez is a total berk. According to him, Daniel Bryan is dead and buried if he doesn't beat Randy on Sunday. He's pissed off because D-Bry has been beaten up every week on TV.

eh, that's not entirely fair. He's said he thinks Bryan has taken too many beatings that would lead you to believe he;s winning at the pay per view (8 times in a row, it's not totally unfair) and taking all of those is too much, but he's also said he loves Randy Orton as heel champion and he's sure it'll carry on past NOC. None of which is that unfair

Its a heel turn, by all accounts. I dont know if next week is her being a subtle heel, but its all leading to Dixie turning anyway. Brooke Hogan was meant to be the lead heel (really) going into BFG against Hulk. But Hulk and Brooke are on the outs. So instead they've been replaced by Dixie and AJ. You have to get a non-wrestler in these main event angles, you see. The world champion just isn't enough.

They've had the Dixie heel turn in their back pocket for a good 3 years now. I'm surprised she hasn't already done it. A Dixie and AJ Styles feud has the potential to be on another level of horrendous.

As long as Serg decks him again, I'm happy

  3. Not just that.

Spoiler for next week, but you really need to read this:

Dixie turns heel on AJ, stating if it wasn't for her, he wouldn't (lol) be "where he is today". So they are now doing the CM Punk vs Vince thing (leave with the belt, contract is up, shoot promos etc) and also they are doing the Daniel Bryan vs heel owner storyline. I hate the writers of this company so much. They are shamelessly uncreative.

Also AJ doesn't drop "pipe bombs". He drops "bombshells". TNA really is Poundland WWE. They even have the knockoff Hulk Hogan as their GM, who used to pop up in the pound shop. Everyone had a snide Hulkster as a kid.

is it really a heel turn? I sort of thought it was just more "shooting"

  4. What does everyone reckon about the return of all the insider stuff? There seems to be more references to antiqued internet rumours like Triple H not rating Jericho, Cena and Edge and the whole "solid B-plus" stuff and even throwing in the "stack of dimes neck" line (which Vince has been known to use about people with no traps). It seems like they are playing up to HHH's reputation as the devil on the internet and throwing in all this stuff from real life. They did all this in 2011 with CM Punk and it wasn't very good. I suppose it depends how far they go. As long as they don't reference Vanilla Midgets, it cant be as bad.

It's fine because the insider stuff isn't the core of the angle, but is being used to pepper the angle. The Jericho, edge, Cena stuff I didn't know about, but it doesn't matter because it was explained, and the stack of dimes neck comment (a jibe at randy Orton originally, according to meltz) was a one layer thing. It's not like bischoff telling sid he hasn't got any scissors

  5. Mike Knox was just following orders. Its not like its his fault for doing what he is told in a pre-recorded segment. No selling the hammer shot was in the script for some reason. I dont even know why Knox is employed. What a waste of money. Its a crying shame how Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have jobs and poor Mike Knox is sitting there eating sarnies on TV. He's about 6'7" and can move. When he had the mask on and nobody knew it was him, he was having class bouts on TV against the likes of Aries and Sting and Bully Ray. Now he's just a man on TV in a leather snooker waistcoat.

Yikes, how much better would the wyatt family be if it was gallows and Knox??

  6. Are you ever not a complete idiot?

Just because Austin's storyline was done one way, that's no reason to do it the same way every time they do a similar storyline. Bryan is a completely different personality - he's not a physically imposing bald nutter who looks like he could kill you with a sideways glance. He's a small-ish chap with unkempt facial hair. It's called building a storyline, something you clearly have no patience for, in which case I suggest you go and find something else that suits your minute attention span. And he absolutely does not desperately need to win the title at the next PPV. The fun is always in the chase.

So please explain to me what value DB got from looking like a jobber next to the Big Show? How did the Big Show's no selling of a former world champions offence in any way, shape or form build DB up for NOC? Please, I'm begging you to let me know how DB came out of this weeks RAW looking strong. It's not like previous weeks when the numbers game got the better of him! BS no sold his offence and swatted him down like a fly! Tell me that Sanka!

I'm all for the thrill of the chase, but at some point the Babyface needs to end at least one week on top. Each week that goes by erodes the fans confidence in his ability! The heels end up looking cool and the babyfaces look castrated! Ala NWO!

3 weeks is not the NWO. Terrible comparison.

  7. It's high time we had a 10th Wonder of the World. Who could qualify, though? Would you go for another giant bloke, freakish lady, super-built bloke, ultra-fast-and-flippy?

(I'm not seriously suggesting this, of course, but it would be fun trying to think of someone)

Big E Langston. Master of the Five Count. 2nd ever Nxt champion, 10th Wonder of the World. Got a ring to it.

  8. Stephanie was reminiscing with Show about him looking out for her backstage when she was twelve years old. So, 1988. Eleven years before Big Show went to the WWF, seven before he was even wrestling.

I thought that was a little strange. But that's what they're going with i guess.

Most of the modern audience will be none the wiser, but do they realise how many long term fans still watch?

I think they figure it's a fake story and it doesn't really matter that much.

  9. I tweeted Lagana asking why a certain match is potentially being done a second time when this is supposed to be a round robin and he said that it's never been advertised as a round robin this year and it's not a round robin. That was over a month ago.
Which isn't an answer to your question from that tweet. Even if it's not a round robin, people should get the same number of matches as each other
  10. Punk is a much, much better promo than Ziggler, and his ring style is absolutely fine as a baby face. Not a great comparison

Edit: it's worth saying that Ziggler had a great babyface match against del rio, and I'm not certain the matches were ever going to be the problem. It was always his facials, promos and general personality.

  11. I was trying to figure out though, is there anyone else in the storyline on the roster who Triple H would allow to be champion besides Orton? Everyone stood their looking like eunuchs.

I sincerely hope not. It wouldnt make storyline sense if there was, as half the point is that HHH hates Orton
