  1. Plus everyone on the internet that isn't at the live shows slating him, that's a good majority of the fan base.
That's not true though. The internet makes up a miniscule population of the fan base, and the crowds at a few raws (and it has only been a few) don't necessarily represent a majority at all. It's a tens of thousands versus millions.

I don't know the ratings either, I must admit, but people booing at shows doesn't mean a huge amount. It can become a huge amount if the TV audience start to associate him with that stuff, but it doesn't yet

  2. Undertaker v Lesnar is the biggest match.

No idea what they will do with Batista v Orton but if they want Bryan in there then they have to start presenting him a bit better. Right now he is nothing more than an annoying wee loser who gets what he wants by whining and moaning,

Batisata/Orton is the Main Event, thus it'll be what the show will close with.

Batista vs Orton closing Wrestlemania 30 is the least sensible idea since Princess Di decided she didn't require a seat belt

    Swing and a miss.

  3. Why? Why reboot? They had a decent cast for the last two.

Never heard of Guardians Of The Galaxy, but any film that has Duane Benzie in is good with me.

They'd have to, at the very least, recast johnny storm and the first two films were so rubbish.

Wouldn't be too worried about it being based on ultimate universe. That probably just means, like all the current marvel crop, that they'll take some ideas from it.

I really like the ultimates, for the record

  4. Has anyone managed to make Del Rio interesting or upped his stock though? He's worked with people like Cena and Punk and he's always been a total bore. Swagger has had less opportunities at the top, but he's also always been as dull as shit on his own too.

He was brilliant booting Ziggler in the head over and over again while ostensibly still a babyface, and then coming out and cutting that coy tweener promo immediately after. I proper loved all that, and I don't usually like either of them.

Either side of that match he's be a fucking drain in every feud he's had for years.

For sure. That match was absolutely brilliant. Loved it.

  5. So basically part of undertakers gimmick?

Not so much, as even in the gimmick's more toned down form, Taker still has a supernatural element to him. I mean in a more real, no-nonsense bad-ass who doesn't have to rant and rave. He's quiet, almost stoic, but his calm and control are what make him intimidating. I feel you could slot Reigns into that role easily enough and he's be fantastic.

Indeed, that's why I said part of. If you take away the supernatural thing, that's exactly who taker is. Don't they even compare him to Clint Eastwood on tv?

Not saying this is a bad thing, mind

reigns is the new Austin/goldberg/Batista style guy. He's not the hero, he's the lancer. His dress should be more restrained than Big E whoever the next John Cena is.

  6. I'm not a fan of dark, brooding types. I'd like him to be quiet like the man sitting at the end of the bar who when he talks it carries real gravitas and weight, and can fuck up everyone in there when they cross him.

I like this idea a lot, and it sits well with his character thus far. Man of few words, a bit Clint Eastwood, actions speak louder than words sorta type. That way it doesn't matter what he wears if he has the aura of being a bad ass, he'll carry it off regardless.

So basically part of undertakers gimmick?

  7. I really wish they'd tell Batista to stop using the spear, granted he used it long before Reigns, but his version looks utter shit in comparison and slightly undermines the impact of Reigns hitting it when you've seen Batista do it earlier in the show.

I dunno, I liked at the rumble when batista hit his rubbish one then reigns hit his real one

  8. I think Reigns needs something more substantial then a 'charging' finisher.

Goldberg had a jackhammer, Austin a stunner, Cena has the F-U, Lesnar an F-5 and so on. Both his potential finishers seem more like pre-finishers/set ups than actual finishers. Plenty of time yet for the lad though.

Disagree. It's part of his powerhouse style and looks amazing. Finishers like that do well, Sweet Chin Music and Big Show's Punch You Inna Face have got over big. both Spear and Superman punch have the important finisher characteristics of being able to be hit out of nowhere and on anyone.

Plus when he pumps his forearm like it's a shot gun it makes me want to put a poster of him up on my wall

  9. The connotation that it's a community of people on benefits? That's the whole point of the show

Exactly. The whole point is not to show a 'community' it is is too jump on the Benefit Bashing Bandwagon that is present in out current climate. The fact they've put the word in the title means they know exactly what they're trying to do.

Did you watch it? There seemed to be a pretty prevalent community to me.

  10. Raw averaged 4.20 million viewers for all three hours, compared to 4.86 million on Jan. 20 (Batista's return, Rumble go home show) and 4.71 million on Jan. 27 (Rumble fallout show). Here's the hourly breakdown for this week:

    Hour one: 4.43 million

    Hour two: 4.22 million

    Hour three: 3.98 million

When Batista returned he shifted the numbers big style. His return segment (which is the one Ian was talking about) was the biggest one and people immediately tuned out afterwards majorly.

I'm pretty sure hour three is always the lowest hour on the show these days, no?
