  1. According to them in the Jericho podcast, which is really worth a listen, theyre all good buddies and wanted to do something together because none of them were doing anything.

They were also pretty keen on avoiding the classic black stereotypes. That went well

  2. Thing is, drkopen, if that is your real name... You need to go back over the last few years and see the previous show threads, where countless promoters and others have tried to help Adam get his promotion running properly (usually at his bequest) and he never listens, makes a mockery of wrestling and of himself. Eventually, he's made himself a running joke and this is what comes of it. If he'd put half the effort into promoting his shows properly as he does arguing on this forum he'd be doing good business. Instead, he'll draw flies and learn no lessons, and six months after this show he'll be back doing it all again.

Now, back to the raffle. What prizes are on offer?

Yes and no. Things like this always go the same way. For a while its fairly light hearted and good fun, and more importantly, actually funny. Then the barnacles without their own sense of humour who don't know where the line is start posting continuously to try and get in with the lads and take it too far (the murderer thing? Come on) or aren't funny or both. Then it gets rubbish. This is boydy all over again
  3. An assumption he seemed to be working under, as I mentioned in my original post. If he wasn't, then I've misunderstood him and you're right, what I said isn't relevant. And I'm fairly comfortable about derailing the suggestion that the gospels don't corroborate each other. There was brevity and simplicity in what I said, to be sure, but that was in an effort not to derail a thread too far. In that same spirit, I'll leave it there.

  4. If you work on the assumption that they're written by who they say they are...

Matthew - one of the apostles

    Mark - Interviewed Peter

Luke - Interviewed at least Paul, probably more

John - one of the apostles

And, yeah, they corroborate each other. They corroborate each other so well that there's discussion about origin documents. Give them a read.

(I know, I know there's serious academic debate about authorship of the four, but nostalgia nonxe seemed to be talking about the "traditional" authors)

  5. To be fair A) I was doing what you were doing at the start of this thing, which was really the point and B) its not that its just some game I like, its Ocarina of Time, generally considered to be one of if not the best game of all time (for the record I don't think it is, but its miles better than wind waker if only for the lack of the treasure hunting). And gamesradar decided to not put it (or GoldenEye pr final fantasy 7) not only not in the top 10 or 5 or whatever, but in their top 100 and state in their intro that they've deliberately ignored them. I'm not being too unfair there, surely?

  6. Not a great example, seeing as they consciously ignored ocarina of time, for example. I'm sure you can find another though.

Its not even the best Zelda game on the GameCube. Hell, it's not even the best Zelda game in the box it came in.

  7. Is it just me or does Charlotte remind you of Michelle McCool which is no bad thing as McCool was easily the best Diva of her time for wrestling ability, in my opinion. I really hope we see Charlotte moved to the main roster soon along with a number of other NXT divas who are producing some great matches. The main roster divas really need to start up-ing their game, I can see some main roster releases next year once the influx of NXT divas start coming up.

She wasn't even the best one in lay cool

  8. Yeah, Orton's the kind of opponent he should be dealing with right now. If he goes on to face bluetista and hhh over the next few months, that's great. Its not so much about him losing matches, its about him getting associated as a guy they stick in title matches without ever looking like winning them. MITB was fine, Battleground isn't terrible but it's not ideal either, if his other matches keep going that way then it could be a problem.

  9. What sense does that make? He's in the title picture now, so they'll gauge the reactions and pull the trigger when the time is right. It's not like they're making him look weak, and he won't be pinned on Sunday, so I don't think I get that statement.

On that logic, either nobody should ever be pushed again or anyone who is should win the title straight away.

Or did I miss the sarcasm with that statement? I'm ever so confused...

Its not sarcastic at all. If he's not going to win the title until mania, which if they're positioning him to be THE guy is probably what will happen, he needs to be winning matches. Sitting in the title picture never winning the match for 6 months is a great way to kill a guy off.

Its not the same situation as Ryback. Ryback had an undefeated streak and needed to keep winning momentum going. Reigns can lose a title match, of course, but he can't not win for months and months.

Saying "by that logic no one should ever be pushed" suggests that the only way to be pushed is to be in title matches, which isn't true.

He needs to be beating stars clean until he wins the title, not coming up short all the time.

  10. A fiver says if they move Lawler to smackdown hell quit.

Dunno, imagine he regrets quitting before. I think they'll need to kick him out. And if they do he'll always land on his feet with some form of income, just probably not the cushty guaranteed money and perks from WWE.

I bet he doesn't. He doesn't need the money, really, and I'm sure I've heard before that the reason Lawler seems to have a different standard to everyone else is Vince knows he'll quit if he's pushed
