Bus Surfer

I've been using my trusted Galaxy S7 for about 5 or 6 years now. The phone is really starting to slow down and from what I understand, its no longer receiving updates. 

I'm totally out of the loop and would rather not spend several hundred quid on a new phone. 

Is the S10 worth buying in 2022 or should I be lookin for something newer? 

Smith/Craig seems to make a lot of sense and they both talked about how they wanted the fight but Smith mentioned on the Bisping podcast that the UFC is pushing for him to fight Magomed Ankalaev. 

Also, with WWE recently discovering there's life in Wales I still live in hope we'll get a UFC show in the Principality Stadium some day. Hopefully with all the attention it's getting Dana will finally realise it has a roof which always seems to be the main sticking point when it comes to larger stadium shows.

If I was Mcafee I probably wouldn't bother going full time. He doesn't need the cash, exposure or the abuse of the body a standard wrestler schedule requires. 

As said already, less is always more in WWE, so rolling him out every so often for a pop and a impressive showing seems sensible. He seems so respected by Vince that I reckon they'd go as far to give him a title run whilst he was still on comms. 

He's got it made.

I don't mind a bit of gardening and I love houseplants but the whole 'eco system in a jar' thing is brand new to me. Wondering if I can just fill it full of stones, soil, small plants and insects from the garden and let nature take its course. 

Would love to hear if anyone has experience with this.

Your tax allowance is generally split equally over the 12 months or 52 weeks (depending on how you're paid) of the year. Purely for the reason so  that you don't not pay anything early in the year and get hammered at the end. 

If this is your only job and you don't have any additional expense allowances or deductions your code should be something like 1257L (may not be 100% accurate as I haven't worked PAYE for some time) 

I'd get back on the phone and explain this is your only job. HMRC may have missing employment info for you which is why they haven't been able to issue you a cumulative code. 

When leaving jobs, always get your P45 ASAP and hand it in to your new place. It's the best way to ensure your info is upto date and you don't get stung.

The term 'emergency code' tends to strike fear into people, but it just taxes you based on it being the first week/month of any tax year. 

If you've been put onto BR this is actually worse as you're not getting any tax free allowances before tax is calculated. Providing you're not a higher rate taxpayer, BR is generally used to tax a 2nd job at the basic rate (because your tax allowance is being used at the first job or elsewhere) 

If this is your only job you shouldn't be on BR and the BR code will not be giving you any refund in your wages. 

If you are due to be paid before the 5th April and your employer has recieved the new code with enough time to implement it before payroll cut off, any refund you are due will be paid into your wages. 

If not, you'll be refunded several weeks/months (hard to say) after the end of year details are submitted to HMRC. 

Edit - Was the code BR?

Anyone else remember these things? Attach to your bottle of White Lightening to further increase the misery and shame.

I don't disagree with you lads, but you only have to read Conors tweets and comments to know he ain't about the fun fights. In his head he's still champ material and that's all that seemingly matters to him. All the generational wealth anyone could possibly need, but he'll never be happy unless he can consider himself top dog.

Again, it's not what I want, just trying to get my head around it all. 

I feel like if you keep him in the title fights, he either wins which is great for them, or he seemingly loses to the best and its easier to stomach and control the narrative. If he starts mucking about with your Gregor Gillespies and loses, then you've just stuck a pin in the balloon and there ain't no coming back from that to your average fan. 

I feel like I'm coming off as a McGregor sympathiser here, fuck me I hope not, but there has to be a reason why Dana is continually trying to smash the square peg into the round hole. Maybe it is simply a case of wanting to keep him sweet, but I firmly believe business is better for the UFC if he's on top.

Excuse the wrestling analogy and it probably doesn't fit great here, but Austin, Hogan and the Rock were bona-fide Superstars who didn't need a belt, but for the majority of the time they'd be in the title matches because that's where the money, interest and the super mainstream exposure is. 

We're too far in the bubble on here, but for the majority of casuals with a slight interest, Conor is MMA, and getting the casuals onside is big business.

Conor will get serious ppv buys regardless, but Conor in a title fight and potentially becoming champ and head of the division will always attract more buys, exposure, clicks and soundbites. Its as simple as that. 

How Dana kept a straight face when he spouted all that shite was incredible. 

Even top boot licker Brett Okamoto called it out.
