  1. I touched on the unnerving 'dogs through windows' bit previously but that early moment where you encounter the zombie eating the corpse just past the dining room scared the ever living fuck out of me as a youngster. Proper 'I'm not sure I want to play this' thoughts rushing through my head. I'm not ashamed to admit I only wanted to play Resi when I had friends over. It's not something I wanted to experience alone.

I love horror movies as an adult, but when I got hold of the Xbox one remastered version a year or 2 back, I still had those reservations about playing it.

What a game. Scarred me for life.

  2. Jumped on the '3 months for half price offer' and have been loving Audible ever since. Went through Alien and Ghostbusters 1 & 2 proper quick. Sacked off Halloween as It didn't grab me like the others and I couldn't get on with the narrator.

Despite the genre being massively played out I've really been enjoying R R Haywoods 'The Undead'. There's like 20 books and the vast majority of them seem to be free but I guess that's just a clever tactic to entice me to pay for the later ones once I'm in deep.

  3. The PlayStation intro music seemed massively cutting edge at the time whilst being weirdly sinister to my 12 year old ears.

Christmas morning in 1996 is one I'll never forget. PS1 with Tekken, Fifa '97 and Resident Evil.

I remember being blown away with the up close camera in Fifa after years of top down viewing in ISS Deluxe. Being terrified walking down the mansion corridor of Resi as the dogs bounded through the windows and marvelling at how fucking awesome the 3D character models in Tekken were and its deeply satisfying combat system.

Added bonus on Christmas day discovering that my new PS could play music CD's too!

What a time to be alive.

  4. Finished up the RDR2 story again. Despite focusing on more on the side stuff and challenges the whole thing felt much shorter this time around. Still have plenty to do post epilogue though.

My misses flew off a cliff with my fully bonded Arabian so for punishment she now has to lead the new horse around for 40 mins to fully bond with it.

  5. Volk spoke with Helwani yesterday and he actually seemed up for an interim on the basis that it'll make a more anticipated fight when he does return. There's an Australian show happening in the first quarter of 2023 so he may just sit out until that comes around.

He also alluded to the fact that his return fight may be at 155 which also gives a bit more creedence to an interim belt at 145.

  6. I felt pretty disinterested in this card and fully expected to fast forward through most of it with a coffee this morning but I was hooked from the first prelim onward. A real sleeper of a show with some incredible fights throughout.

The main event was a proper rollercoaster. Glover was 28 seconds away from a win on the cards and I was gutted for him. Jiri is all kinds of Fun though. Both guys seemed to make a lot of errors throughout but that just made it more chaotic and enjoyable. Best 205lb title fight for a long time.

Thought Santos was a bit hard done by and the 49-46 score for Shevchenko was a head scratcher. Scored it 3 rounds for Santos myself but one of the rounds were very close so I could see Valentina a nicking 3 rounds. 49-46 though? Fucks sakes.

Weili just looked too much for Joanna from the off. The 2 years out couldn't have helped but Weili just looked a different class. Another fun fight whilst it lasted.

Loads of great stuff on the lower card and Prelims. I thought the crowd were really great all night too. Super respectful. The show really overdelivered.

  7. Whether he should have gone through with it or not can be debated but there's no denying that this was the most significant moment of his career and likely to be called back and highlighted for a long time to come.

His eventual return is going to be absolutely massive. Triple H levels of grandiose. Obviously he didn't want to get hurt to start with but In a way I also feel that removing him now and then building to a return and Inevitably winning the big one is better for him than the crowds eventually getting bored and soured in the way most people expected this to unfold over the next few months.

Jeff Hardy is a physical wreck, seemingly strung out each time and a clear hazard to anyone he's working with and it never garners this kind of debate.

  8. Started another play through of Red Dead Redemption 2 after not touching the story element since I finished it almost 4 years ago.

I'm taking a much slower approach and trying to focus on as many of the smaller bits and pieces before ploughing on with the main missions. Spent the last few days searching for perfect pelts in order to get the legend of the west satchel which I completely ignored on the first play through. Suffered more jump scares than I'd like to admit tracking cougars for the pelt. Absolutely terrifying.

    Such a fantastic game.

Farming Sim 22 is downloaded. Skipped the tutorial and dived in. It’s fucking got seasons and shit like that. I quit the game because I was scared. Will try again today but do the tutorial.

After all the positive stuff I've read on here I downloaded this on the weekend to have a look.

Fucking hell it seems vast. I thought it might be a chilled, leisurely way to kill a few hours but there was far too much going on. Plus, I could barely read the on screen text and there seemed no way of changing that.

    I noped out pretty quick.

  10. Oliveria made the best of an incredibly shitty situation.

Looking at his last few fights, he seems to get dropped constantly which got me thinking if he actually voluntarily goes to his back after absorbing a strike purely because he knows his opponent will be hesitant in following him down. What a run he's on. Islam for the vacant belt is what I'd like to see next.

Been on a bit of a Guinness stint lately and as coffee lover I was looking forward to trying this.

I'd seen a few reviews before hand which mentioned quite a muted coffee taste but I thought it was a fairly strong flavour. The more I drank the less I enjoyed it. Certainly not something I could drink more than one of.

    Back to regular Guinness.

  12. Can't stand Pimblett, but Graham Boylan being his manager whilst being a feeder for the UFC probably has something to do with the shitty contract.

The whole 'I can make more money outside the UFC doing other shit' is a head scratcher to me. Paddy has a following because of his fighting. I'm sure there is a contingent of knuckle draggers who just think he's a bit of a lad and would support him because of that but surely that is a minority? If he's not fighting regularly, surely these lucrative Barstool contracts will dry up sooner rather than later?

  13. Yeah, it's a weird one and has potential to go tits up infront of that crowd.

With Jones/Stipe being speculated for later this year I assumed Aspinal Tuivasa was a lock for this. Gane/Tuivasa is now rumoured too.
